"The best way to find a good Indian restaurant, I find, is to follow your nose. Maharaja isn't the only Indian in Stirling, but while I could go right up to the others' windows and smell nothing, I could smell the aromas from this restaurant from around the corner Staff there were really friendly and attentive, and when I mentioned that I felt like a dish with a lot of coriander, they suggested a dish which would suit me, and when they brought it out they had added extra coriander delicious Food was tasty and portions were generous, would go again if I come back to Stirling"

"Absolutely fantastic! We came for the curry evening which is held every Tuesday. £12 for a curry, rice or naan and drink (soft drink, wine or beer). It’s amazingly good value for money and we really enjoyed the food. Particular highlights were the lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, chicken bhuna and chicken korma. The soft buttered naans were amazing too and seemed like they had come straight out of a tandoor. Just fantastic! Kapilla who served us is lovely and one of the sweetest, hardworking ladies you’ll ever meet. Thank you to Kapilla and all of the team for a lovely evening, we will be back for sure"

"I arranged a meeting and decided to go to a competitor's Indian restaurant, but it was a bit challenging and some of the staff were not very friendly. A friend recommended this place to me, and I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. The menu offered a good selection of dishes for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The portions were quite generous, and in hindsight, I probably should have ordered a smaller mixed grill, but it was Christmas after all. The Indian mixed grill we ordered was excellent and arrived at our table sizzling hot, creating quite a bit of smoke. The portion size was large, with enough food to comfortably feed 4 people with the included naans. The value for money was fantastic. I also tried the lamb saag, which was tender and flavorful. The sauces and dips were served in a nice presentation, rather than being in large squeeze bottles like some other places. They provided paper napkins, not cheap kitchen roll, and offered a take-home option for leftovers. The staff was very friendly, and I look forward to visiting again in the future."

"We decided to try this restaurant after hearing about their 15% vegetarian week discount. On a Tuesday evening, the car park was already packed, and this was a promising sign of the food to come! They have a wide variety of vegetarian choices, and food was served promptly by very enthusiastic waiters and waitresses. My only issue is that despite the discount, the meal was expensive. We ordered sev papdi chaat, chilli paneer, honey glazed paneer (the best dish out of them all), crispy bhajia naan. For dessert, the gajar halwa was delectable. The total came up to £60 for these few items (with a discount)!! For that reason alone, I think it would not be worth visiting again. A nice touch was that they have a separate no garlic/onion menu a no-spice menu."

"I had the best meal in Santa Fe at this restaurant! It was absolutely outstanding. We arrived around 9 am on a weekday morning and the restaurant was only about 20% full."

"Many moons back, my Indian wife and I were havering about buying a house on the Cambridge hill, waked down for a meal at what was then Cocum, subsequently Nivedyam and now Pakka and the quality of the meal led us to set up home nearby! I should explain that I am a Professor of English Literature and Religious Studies, and my wife, one of my first research students in Cambridge, comes from a centuries old Brahmin family of Hindu saints and scholarly pundits. Hence, when we have visitors from our Indian family or academic guests from the world over to entertain, it is vital to take them to a restaurant that represents the best of Indian (and, in particular,of Kerala cuisine. So we keep a close eye and a sensitive tongue on any change to our much prized Cocum and I am delighted to report that two visits now to the smart re vamped restaurant, now PAKKA, have convinced us that the upgrade is stylish (though the image of Shiva is without his flute! , the food as good as ever (I am told the kitchen staff are the same and the student waitresses who are from Kerala, quite as charming as the food and decor. "The best balti in all of Great Britain. We have been coming here for 15 years, and last night I brought my girlfriend along. We had a fantastic time, the staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever. The food was delicious and very affordable. We ordered katlama, chicken pakora, chicken balti, huh jalfrezi, two naans, and a side of rice, all of which were excellent. For dessert, we had gul road jamun and chocolate barfi. The total bill came to £27, what a great deal!"

"It has been a while since we visited, because of the pandemic and isolation. Enjoyed a first class meal here again. The food was excellent. Nice regional dishes which were full of flavours. Staff helpful, and the owner friendly. He came over to our table and was chatting, made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back, and soon"
"4.3. We are international travelers. Our British friend took us here to eat what he thought was the best Indian food in Manchester. This store is quite conspicuous, but the road outside feels a bit rough. There is a waiting room in the store, but I thought it was a bit strange. There were not many customers in the restaurant when we visited, but there were many seats and the space was quite large. We ordered appetizers and some dishes. The pancakes tasted like Taiwanese shrimp pancakes without the taste of shrimp, eaten with sauce. This was my second time eating Indian food (the first was at Yaatra in London and the price was significantly cheaper, so we were quite satisfied. Maybe I'm not used to eating Indian rice, so it still feels a little weird, but I'm already more familiar with it. This place may be more like real Indian food, and the curry sauce is very rich. We ordered Bhuna lamb (Specially fried with a mix of Eastern spices to create a truly delicious medium curry. The taste is quite rich and rich, the taste is heavy, the spiciness is medium, not too spicy, the lamb is tasty and chewy . There is also Dhansak chicken (garlic, pineapple and lentils and has a beautifully mild sweet and sour taste. This curry has a relatively mild and refreshing taste, with the sweet and sour flavor of pineapple, and the chicken is delicious and moderately tender. Overall, it cost about £16 per person and we were very full. We even packed some unfinished food and went back. The toilet is on the second floor and comes with toilet paper. The waiter was funny and thought we were speaking Japanese. All in all, a great experience here! 20240801"

"I have been using this takeaway on a regular basis for over 3 years. In that time I have gradually worked my way through a lot of the menu. I have never had a meal which has been less than excellent. The Dansak in particular is fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful, always happy to suggest a new dish or advise on flavours. I often have a delivery and the food is always piping hot and fresh. It has never been later than the advised delivery time. In a word, brilliant. I highly recommend this business. Well done lads."

"This was my first ever experience at Tangawizi which has been established for 18 years. I must say that the overall experience was AMAZING. I went along with my friend who loves his non-vegetarian dishes and I am a vegetarian. So he ordered the lamb chops and king prawns for his starters, whereas I went for the vegetarian platter along with passion fruit mojito. The starters quantity was quite generous and we thought that we may not be able to finish them but surprisingly we polished everything off, as they were exceptionally delicious. The restaurant owner Karim Meghji personally recommended these dishes and I must say that time to time their staff came to offer service, which was great to see. We then ordered our mains which was Chicken Masaledar, Baingan Bharta (aubergine), Dal Makhani with garlic naan, saffron rice and tandoori roti. The quality of breads, rice and dishes was superb with balanced flavours. Finally, we ended our meal with a scoop of Ginger Stem ice cream, again recommended by the owner. I would love to go back with my family soon."

"Just got home after a really lovely family meal here (kids 12 5yrs . Everything was perfect. Spotlessly clean and lovely decor, poppadoms and chutneys whilst we browsed the menu, great selection of food (3/4 of us are vegetarian , water regularly topped up. Staff were all so kind and friendly. We ordered the veg momo's to start which came with a delicious spicy dipping sauce. For mains we had veg korma, shaslick super, pudina paneer and a cold dish I can't remember the name of but it was so delicious. Enjoyed it all too much to take photos! (Our son also smashed his glass and the staff were so kind and understanding. We are only visiting the area but will definitely go back if ever here again. Highly recommend! Nicest meal our we've had in ages."

"I have visited this restaurant several times and it was great as always, but the experience was unfortunately marred by a large group of men at the next table who were loud and shouting at each other all evening. This was not the fault of the restaurant, just individuals who lacked proper manners."
