"I arranged a meeting and decided to go to a competitor's Indian restaurant, but it was a bit challenging and some of the staff were not very friendly. A friend recommended this place to me, and I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. The menu offered a good selection of dishes for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The portions were quite generous, and in hindsight, I probably should have ordered a smaller mixed grill, but it was Christmas after all. The Indian mixed grill we ordered was excellent and arrived at our table sizzling hot, creating quite a bit of smoke. The portion size was large, with enough food to comfortably feed 4 people with the included naans. The value for money was fantastic. I also tried the lamb saag, which was tender and flavorful. The sauces and dips were served in a nice presentation, rather than being in large squeeze bottles like some other places. They provided paper napkins, not cheap kitchen roll, and offered a take-home option for leftovers. The staff was very friendly, and I look forward to visiting again in the future."

"I had the best meal in Santa Fe at this restaurant! It was absolutely outstanding. We arrived around 9 am on a weekday morning and the restaurant was only about 20% full."

"We give British pub fare much due credit for coming a long way in the last 20 years since its previous dark days of unmitigated blandom. Still, the vanguard of English culinary salvation remains its range and ubiquity of excellent Indian food, as we are sampling this evening, with Asian and Mediterranean food holding up the flank and rear. This place is a prime example ans best in class for its specific category of hard to find authentic South Indian far. On order shown here are chicken masala dosai (crepe) and chicken biryani. The restaurant cuisine actually hails from my ancestral Kerala which I have yet to discover. The copious portions made for ample take home, even for the two ravenous patrons."

"The craftsmanship exceeded my expectations and the dining experience was enjoyable. I opted for the e-menu and ordered the Tandoori chicken with sweet curry and basmati rice. The restaurant also offers a buffet with a variety of their popular dishes. The ambiance and food were fantastic - definitely a must-try!"

"The best balti in all of Great Britain. We have been coming here for 15 years, and last night I brought my girlfriend along. We had a fantastic time, the staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever. The food was delicious and very affordable. We ordered katlama, chicken pakora, chicken balti, huh jalfrezi, two naans, and a side of rice, all of which were excellent. For dessert, we had gul road jamun and chocolate barfi. The total bill came to £27, what a great deal!"

"It has been a while since we visited, because of the pandemic and isolation. Enjoyed a first class meal here again. The food was excellent. Nice regional dishes which were full of flavours. Staff helpful, and the owner friendly. He came over to our table and was chatting, made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back, and soon"

"After a long and tiresome day tour through dying we looked for a nice evening meal and we were glad that we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. came on a quiet Thursday night to dinner with my kumpels, and we all were happy to eat every bit of what we ordered. we were greeted by a smile by a young male staff and sitting on the stand. our drink order was immediately removed and delivered in no time. we always ask for recommendations where we ever visit, the lady staff was probably new, so they had on the same young chap that had known about the menu. began with tandori platter and onion bhaji on the side. followed by 3 curries of medium (garam masala), hot (methi gosht) and spicy (coconut madras) 3 rice and 2 cheese n garlauch naan brot. enjoyed every bite of our meal. so delicious and meat was so tender. prices are average, but the portion size is huge. very impressed by eating and service. will be back to death at the next visit."
"DO NOT EAT HERE! Shut this place down. Absolutely worst service I have ever received, I feel scammed and completely overcharged: £30 for poppadoms we didn’t ask for and then mandatory £10 service fee for terrible service. Shocked at the price, we normally never complain about prices and food quality but we were so irritated by our experience and the rude management, we have written a negative review for the first time. This terrible experience ruined our trip to Manchester completely. If I could give zero stars I would. Disgusting, the place was empty for a reason and we thought we would give it a try. Never again. Dirty cutlery, rude, overcharged, and very poor quality food. Scammed, this is an absolute scam and I have never experienced this before. Do not come here and make our same mistake. They make their money from scamming people, be careful what you order here and do not pay them before checking their secret hidden fees! This business should be shut down for the filthy way they run. Scammers."

"disappoint. I do not often add critiken in the rule, but recently decided that, since I read it, it is only fair to contribute, I visited tangawizi a few weeks ago after I had heard very good things about it, perhaps inflated my expectations. our trip to Indian in london is in the rule noor jahan, which I find very good, although quite hard on the ghee. I heard that this restaurant is exceptional in terms of food, plus it obviously used cholesterol-free vegetable oil, so was thrilled to try the price. while entering I found the decoration perfectly nice for a local neighboring restaurant. nothing special ordered the cheese mango distributor for starter. for the net we had a great choice. "We went to Pimlico Tandoori after reading few of the reviews and also for the fact that it was quite close to were we stayed. We got there around pm and saw that the restaurant was sparsely crowded, we got a table and there is where the good service ended. The Waiter handed us the menu and came within a min to ask for the order, he did not suggest anything nor was he really interested to serve, after ordering onion pakoda and chicken tikka as starters and mix veg masala and chicken vindaloo with garlic naan as the main course we were quite apprehensive as to the quality of the food considering that the restaurant was mainly praised for it friendly staff and warm service which was not...read more"

"This place never ceases to amaze me. A very small but intimate restaurant with a great atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff probably the best Indian food I've ever had. Four of us phoned to see if they could accommodate us almost immediately. Luckily, it being midweek it wasn't a problem. The staff really looked after us. Only too pleased to advise about the menu will also let you order a certain dish with a hotter sauce or modify dishes as you request. I can certainly recommend the Desi Lamb...Amazing! The Onion Bargis are superb (order 1 between two ....they are big) Tikka Massala superb. They don't serve alcohol but there is no problem at all taking your own beer wine in. We will return."

"I heard about this place from a friend. He said it was Nepalese cuisine. I got curious. I know Nepal shares a lot in common with India, in terms of culture. But didn't know what was different in terms of food. So I decided to check it out. Went their with my wife, a pure vegetarian. She knew she would find something there as it was Nepalese. Any culture with a bit of Hindu influence serves proper, pure vegetarian dishes that are spicy and full of flavour and aroma. Salads are the last thing that an Indian vegetarian would prefer to have for lunch or dinner. So now you know why there are so many vegetarians in India. We took a good look at the menu. There were familiar names and there were some totally unheard of items which we knew had to be authentic Nepalese. So we tried jogi tarkari, an unusual vegetable curry with mushrooms, cottage cheese, spinach, green peas, beans, chick peas and potatoes. The aforementioned items aren't usually mixed together in one dish in India. So this sounded weird but tasted really good, which was what we wanted after all. We also tried the biryani. It was different again but delicious. They usually serve biryani with mutter (green peas masala on the side. But I thought I'd try some Raita (indian version of greek tzatziki, but spicy and less thicker . The biryani was brilliant. But I quickly realized that the raita they serve in the restaurant used sweet yoghurt as the base, which tasted more like dessert than a side for biryani. When asked why Nepalese has sweet raita to the waiter, he said it was only for British people. If I had requested for normal raita they would have served the non-sweet version. If only I knew that the version they were going to serve me, a brown man with an Indian accent, the British version of Nepalese Raita. I couldn't have made myself any more obvious. Anyways, they had their reasons. And hence we saved money on desserts by not buying anything else. It is a classy restaurant, prices are reasonably high. Great quality of service and lots of drinks available. They do buffets for lunch on weekends (I'm not aware of other days which comes with naan, vegetarian and non vegetarian starters, sweet chutney and spicy chutney, rice, vegetarian (daal [lentils] and aloo palak [potatoes and spinach] and non vegetarian (lamb and chicken curries for 9.95 per person. It is a bargain! I totally recommend. If you like spicy do mention that when giving your orders, you don't want to be served sweets instead of curries."

"in brsintree over 6 years or quite often. out of any reason was never here to eat, although I love a good Indian meal, perhaps csuse my two teenage kids taste buds have changed to Indian food. first time Saturday 4 feb 2017. good decor, great service, there were three of us, we shared 4 appetizers, and had about 12 cheerful main and side. all the dishes were hot, excellent aromen, generous sizes and all meat dishes especially huhn was excellent quality meat well cooked a damp not dry. my personal highlights were king prawn puri starter and chilli chicken tikka massala. prices may be medium to slightly high, but they pay for quality, and I was more than happy to do this. we will certainly go back."
