"Okay, so this is my first review. Being a student,one always tries to find places that offer good food with reasonable prices. Dosa village is one of them. Their food is delicious, with a special mention to the Gobhi Manchurian and Paneer Devil in the snacks category. Other things I tried here included, Mysore Masala Dosa, Tomato Uthhappam all of which were tasty. The service might be a little slow because they don't have much staff but the food makes up for it. And do try either the Filter coffee or Masala Chai after your meal! :"

"I've can't remember tasting such delicious, fresh and wonderfully spiced food. As another review on here says, I honestly can't wait to go back. The service is friendly and relaxed, we stayed chatting for a while after finishing our meal and were not hurried out. I went with 2 friends and we all ordered a vegetarian curry although we are not all vegetarian. We chose a coconut flavoured curry, coconut rice, pilau rice, tomato and black bean curry, and an aubergine based curry. I wanted to know the ingredients and made a note of the Indian names of the curries although not listing here. We all commented on the exceptional quality."

"My most recent experience was the lunch Mogo chips cassava chips are meant to be softer Pani puri no chick peas fortunately (I don’t like chick peas in my puri, I like moong sprouts instead thus these are perfect). The water was sooo delicious! Tasted very authentic Masala fries delicious fries sprinkled with a bit of Chaat masala, sanchar (black salt), chill powder etc Sev puri not sure why this was so good but it just was Bhel puri great, but nothing compared to the sev puri Salty and mango lassi salty lassi tastes like chaas (buttermilk). Alternatively, mango lassi is ideal if you’re looking for something sweet A pasta plate not sure why they even served it or had it on the menu Dahi rice with tadka not my personal favourite Mains Aubergine matar best main ever Palak paneer another great dish. Very soft paneer Kadhi Dal makhani they removed dal makhani from the buffet menu, but we ordered it from Al carte. I used to love it, but felt it lacked a bit of salt Desserts Gulab jamun hard to go wrong with it. It’s slightly less sweet compared to some of the other ones I’ve had (still super sweet though) but I love that! Chocolate mousse with carrot tarte everyone loved the mousse! The carrot tart doesn’t necessarily pair well with the chocolate mousse but I liked it anyway (wouldn’t re-order the tart though) Malai kulfi beautiful presentation and delicious! Many times better than the mango kulfi which no one seemed to enjoy as much Birthday sponge cake mixed it with a bit of malai kulfi from earlier and loved it Ras malai if you like ras gulla you will love this Nice ambience. Good service. Love it!"

"I have visited many Indian restaurants across the UK and I was thoroughly impressed by the food at this particular restaurant. We ordered Chicken Lollipop which was incredibly tasty. Additionally, we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Chop curry along with Garlic Cheese naan and Garlic Chilli naan. The curries were exceptionally delicious. We opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala to be made spicier by adding fresh chillies, and it was wonderfully flavorful. However, the standout dish of the night was the Lamb Chop Curry. The flavors were exceptional, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The service was also excellent. My partner and I frequent Hatfield often and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant. I believe the score does not accurately reflect the quality of the food. Overall, we were very impressed with the meal."

"Food took 2 hours to be delivered. Order was placed at 7.30. Phone off the hook and no idea if the food would turn up. Very nearly ordered a new takeaway when the driver showed up at 9.30. When asked why it was so late. He put it down to several reasons about being busy but also blamed me for living too far away and that I should order from somewhere more local. Its an 11 min drive... laughable and shocking. Food however was lovely and lived up to the reviews. Might be better to collect. But it has left a bad impression."

"Excellent experience! This was a first time being introduced to South Indian cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious we had dosa masala, channa batura, chicken manchurian and chilli paneer. Alongside enjoying cups of Faluda it was mouth watering and all tasted fantastic! Very different from what’s commonly regarded as Indian cuisine. Worth trying! Most likely we’ll be back. After the filling delicious meal not a single item of it less than super tasty we finished it off with coffee. Served in interesting apparently traditional metal dishes… looking super nice, but a normal ordinary cup would’ve been a lot easier to handle. The service by our waitress was very attentive and friendly, prices very reasonable for the amount and quality of food we enjoyed. From outside it doesn’t look particularly special but it’s a gem hidden inside, larger than it looks from outside. And the restaurant is kept nice tidy, shiny and clean. Very happy!"

"I have visited this restaurant twice. It is located on the right side if you are coming from Carshalton, approximately the second bus stop after leaving Wallington High Street. It is definitely worth getting off the bus for. The Mutton Rolls are excellent starters, priced at only 90p each. They are breadcrumbed potato tubes filled with mutton bits in a spicy sauce. The Sri Lankan Chicken and Sri Lankan Mutton dishes (priced at £5.30 and £5.90 respectively) had very flavorful, possibly roasted, curry sauce that was more interesting than traditional Indian curry sauces. They were hot but not too spicy. The chicken is served bone-in and the mutton is indeed chewy but has a good flavor. Both times I visited were in the mid to late evening on weekdays, and there was a constant flow of takeout orders from local Sri Lankans, but there were plenty of free tables available."
