"Although I don't live in the uk anymore and currently reside in the US, as a child from 89 to 08, I can't remember a better staple of Indian food then this"

"The restaurant is closed, which was disappointing as I had traveled a long way to visit. I am now seeking assistance in reclaiming my travel expenses."

"I and my fiancé trusted deepali with their input to ideas for the design and taste of our engagement cake. it is very knowledgeable and very trustworthy. next to the cake design amazing, the taste was so beautiful and the texture was moist. I can't get enough of this beautiful white circle, gold airbrushed cake, and it's red with tasty interior! always remember to go to cake tasting before they order their cake, and always remember that they went for the best customer service. we could not be happier with us! thanks. dipyumkuchen x"

"on visiting this restaurant on Thurs Jan we arrived early (the first customers)but were shown to a table and asked if we wanted drinks , although it was early the restaurant was cold and the dÃcor was quite dull and spartan, the staff were very friendly and helpful and although there was no sharing platter on the menu one was made up for us. Now to get to the important part, this restaurant is all about the food and having travelled extensively both all over Britain and the continent this was possibly the best Indian food we have ever eaten if it was possible I would give the food stars The location is also superb being immediately opposite the Festival theatre ideal for pre theatre dinner. Our party consisted of three adults and the total cost including drinks was only which considering its location in the middle of Edinburgh was excellent. I would be happy to visit again, but if they could sort out the ambience issues and toilet I would happily have given it stars."

"the first time that I ordered from here a month ago, the food quality was good, but they forget to take drinks. they gave them back and let go. the second time I recently ordered from here, they have not only forgotten one of the articles, but the quality has completely declined. the curry wasn't as good as the first time. I will not order again unless I learn that the previous cook has returned and they commit themselves to thoroughly review their orders before they send out. the ground material."

"Usually I ask what vegetables are in the biryani, usually there is fresh cauliflower, green beans, maybe some aubergine, mushrooms, even a few chicken peas! This being a vegetarian place I didn’t ask. Their biryani was fried rice, with a handful of the cheapest frozen veg mix stirred in. Diced carrot, peas and sweetcorn (sweetcorn? in a curry? You know the kind from Farmfoods with broad beans too? Yes that stuff. There was a lot of chilli in the food too which is not right for a biryani. I am appalled at the extreme poor quality of this food. It was a takeaway. If this had been brought to my table it would’ve been sent back. 11.95 I paid for this, it came with two little plastic pots of yogurt, no gravy. The chef should be ashamed. Putting this food out and calling it Mughlai biryani. Maybe I should’ve taken the cue that the place was almost empty (when the Tanjore just a few doors up was busy . I will return. To return to food and complain in person."

"authentic south indian kerala eating, I can confirm because I was very clean and tidy from kerala (südliche indien,) to avoid. very friendly people. eating is really good, especially those who love spicy food. they could ask, they give them authentic food. there are many not veg and vegetarian food. Recently they have refurbished the place, looks great, so I post a few pictures with my review. these who are looking for the South Indian keerala are the place for them!"
"that is absolutely the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant in edinburgh. When we first came, we only ordered some appetizers and desserts, but after we tried them, we soon came back for the first! the atmosphere of the place is relaxing and authentic. the food, the drinks were more a piece of art than just eating. each dish was well presented and with an overwhelming taste. we wouldn't be able to say what's actually in there, because the tastes were mixed so well. for the net I would recommend the 3 curry option (either of thali) for £12/£13, which also contains the dessert. if not superhungry order a thali per two people, as I remember, we couldn't finish two."
