"I booked a table for 2 really last minute on a busy December night, piccolio’s manger cosimo took the booking, he was so friendly and helpful that we really needed after a hard work in the cold winter weather! we went in and the restaurants that were breathtaking have woken us! the decor is stylish and above all it was so warm and cozy what we needed, we were greeted with smiles all around by every worker and was immediately taken on our table, without waiting time what ever! we were so swollen! Shortly after we sat, we tamara welcomed them beautiful, well presented and extremely polite. we thought up the menu, while tamara served us the most delicious Rosè Prosecco and took our orders. it was a hard choice, as we wanted to order one of all, the menu choices sound exquisite! so much choice and catering for all food requirements. my own and my friend decided to go for the spaghetti frutti di mare, which was absolutely inconceivable! muddle, mush and calamari topped with a huge garlic king prawn! it didn't take long until there were two empty teller and full bell! we stayed and talked together about the life and there was no hurry to move us from table to tamara has checked us we were so glad to have chosen piccolino chester for our girly dinner date and just wanted to say a massive thank you to cosimo, tamara and the piccolino team. I can't wait to come back to another fantastic evening."

"My first course had 3 slices of bread with a selection of toppings. 1 was OK (mushrooms in cream) the other 2 were diced tomato and something which was tasteless and both were pointless and uninteresting. With my main course the sauce around the dome of pasta and meatballs was cold, and even after it was bought back to me it was barely warm. The dessert panettone bread pudding was a triumph."

"Have my brother in law and his wife over from New York and they really wanted Italian food. Valentina's was ideal food was excellent, very accommodating for our 2 young children, service was out standing in general and not for a lot more than we would've spent in one of the pizza chain restaurants. The house wines are very good and very reasonable but the main wine list is very impressive."

"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was disappointing and the service was slow. We went for a quick lunch during our lunch hour, but ended up waiting 20 minutes just for our drinks, leaving us with only 15 minutes to eat our meal. The menu offers a diverse selection, and my friend's Italian roasted teigcake, called pizza fritta, was very interesting. However, my salad was disappointing with a bland dressing. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Lovely, stylish restaurant. Lots of seating with a beautiful rooftop bar. A beautiful place to meet, enjoy cocktails or anything from a wide and varied drinks menu, that like the dining menu, has something for every taste. Food is exquisite. Prepared to an extremely high standard and presented professionally with an unassuming flourish. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant is highly recommended. We visited on November 2nd,2023, on foot of a recommendation from a regular patron. We weren't sorry. We enjoyed the dry aged burger, fries, fluffy, light focacia bread and, onion rings. A glass of red Portuguese wine and sparkling water. We didn't finish eating everything, obviously, but it was gorgeous. No service charge, so we left a well deserved tip. "The food was really delicious, and the service was friendly. It is very loud in there between but then gets quieter as families with young children tend to have left by then. One thing though the service was a little bit slow when we’d finished our mains. No one collected the plates for about mins and we didn’t get offered a dessert menu/ couldn’t get their attention for about half an hour and by that point we didn’t fancy pudding anymore!! Shame, because the desserts did look lovely. We’d deffo go there again for the food, and would just time it a bit later to avoid the kids as it does get very very loud!"

"Friday 11 February was our 16th day. stefano made it special. that was our first visit and eating with my wife koeliac (gluten free) is always a challenge. great GF options and restaurant staff all attentive, well humiliated and smile! small anecdotes about the choice of food were helpful and informative. service was fast and eating fresh and hot! my partner enjoyed the mushroom bruschetta'. the hint of chili an unusal twist. my garnels were a good part. my spinach ravioli in the traditional butter sauce was exceptional and the pasta melts fresh in the mouth! my partner was pampered with a huge part of the earthy to finish while my profiteroles were delicious. a great experience and we will certainly return."

"This fantastic little restaurant is hidden in a shopping center. The cakes are freshly imported from a large wood stove in Italy, so they are both delicious and affordable. There are plenty of options on the menu that I have never seen in Scotland. The owners and staff are friendly and chatty. We tried a variety of cakes and sides, all of which were delicious. The highlights were the olive cake and baba ghanoush. I highly recommend this place."

"This restaurant delivered a pizza to my house by mistake, the pizza was meant to be for a house, about four doors away from me. I was cooking BBQ food in the garden when there was a knock at the door, which my wife answered. Her son who was working upstairs, has takeaway food delivered at least three time a week. She accepted the delivery, thinking it was for him, she called out to him and he replied that he hadn't ordered anything. She asked me, I said no, of course not. I checked the delivery for signs of where it had come from of where it was supposed to be. There were no indications at all, no phone numbers, no restaurant name, no receipt and no delivery note. I said leave it there, they will come back when the mistake is spotted. 40 minutes went by and there was a knock at the door. A very angry man asking me if we had received a food delivery. He was the person who placed the order. I told him we had and explained what had happened. He calmed down a little, I asked him if he wanted the food, he said no, not now. It was then that I decided to compost the food and recycle the cardboard. 10 minutes later another knock and another angry person, this time from the restaurant. Again I explained what had happened but I got the impression he did not believe me, he walked away shaking his head, I asked him where had he and the food come from. He told me Plenty in Hampton. My initial thoughts were surprise, as I was busy cooking. However later I was angry. Angry that the restaurant gave out my number and angry that I was questioned by the manager/owner or whoever he was. Surely they should have printed a receipt or delivery note and surely giving out my address was very wrong."

"I have recommended this place for what feels like a million times to people as I have had many fantastic meals here However... On Wednesday it was unfortunately the last time we go. It had nothing to do with the wait, as the burgers are cooked from fresh and it's always worth the wait. The problem was the fact we got completely ripped off with the toppings. I paid for just one single thin slice of chorizo, it was rather embarrassing really. Same again with the bacon, we had one tiny piece of bacon each and then the halloumi was also a bit of joke too, it was shocking. Back in previous visits, the burgers were loaded with toppings but honestly, it was pathetic It's a shame because I had only last week organised the team in work to all go out for a meal there because i told them it's the best burger around Now I have to find somewhere else because I don't want them wasting money on what seemed like a child's portion of a burger."

"aaahhh, La Pappardella....There's nothing I can say that can give their food justice...I've known La Pappardella for years, though I haven't been there for a while, until recently, where my husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary.So we went there full of hopes for a delicious, romatic evening. The restaurant is small but they do have some sitting downstairsin and in the back garden in the summer.We've ordered a nice bottle of white wine. The choice on the menu is endless. Anything from pasta through risotto to pizzas and salads. We started off with grilled prawns and carpaccio. Now, I'm not a big fan of sea food, but I scoffed up almost all of my husband's starter. Carpaccio: tender and full of flavour.For main, my hubby chose risotto. That was the biggest plate i have seen while eating out. It was rich and creamy with fresh chicken and tender veg. I went for a lobster spaghetti. A bit extravagant, but it was a special occasion and I just wanted to compare London's lobster to the one we had in St Kitts. Well, I was not dissapointed. A huge plate of pasta (though it was slightly over-cooked and i like mine a bit tenter) in a rich, fresh tomato and a hint of a chilli sauce and there, on top, lay the lobster in its full glory: cut in quarters. It was delicious and... messy.... I never had to play with tools like this before, as previously I had my lobster shelled. But it was so much fun to get dirty.Ice-cream based desserts were the perfect finish to a lovely meal. At the ned, we received complimentary shots of lemon flavoured course meal for with bottle of wine and service we have paid which is an absolute bargain for the quality of food and service you'll receive in return.I love that little place and we just keep coming back for more.Buon apetito!"

"I've been visiting this restaurant for a long time, but I have to say I was very disappointed this time. The staff were not wearing face coverings. When we arrived, the tables were spaced more than 2 meters apart, but then they started moving them closer together, leaving less than 1 meter in between. Prices have increased, portion sizes have decreased, and they now add a discretionary 10% service charge to the bill, which isn’t a great way to attract customers right now. I’m not sure I’ll come back again."
