"this was once a goal resturant, as it has stood in mumbai and london also had one in new delhi. it is not maintained with the time. decor was bad with dirty carpets and eating on the floor. only two waiters for the entire dinner service. the food was full salt and the naan was not prepared in a traditional tandoor over. my family visited the sites in neu delhi and mumbai and expected a similar environment in london. sad I will not return."

"the third time when eating in social dhaba, great atmosphere, beautifully decorated, personal was really friendly and polite. they've checked us a lot, but not intrusive. eating was delicious, but as always we had ordered some appetizers and they were all quite spicy, even for the chili lovers of our party. we drank a lot of boundless water. Please note that it is not ideal for younger children who cannot tolerate cold heat. but social dhaba I am back!"

"GAIL's Bakery was a phenomenal find on our recent trip to London. I'm a foodie from Portland, Oregon, so I always seek out quality food options for my family when we travel. We first stopped in for a loaf of sourdough bread so we could make quick breakfasts at the apartment. We're not big pastry eaters, but the mix of savory and sweet pastries were appealing, so we ended up coming back the next day for breakfast. We especially loved the ham and cheese croissant, but the sausage roll, pain au chocolat, and the 10 other things we tried were fantastic as well. We loved the coffee and the kombucha too. We came here six times in four days! I was shocked that we were all so satiated and had stable blood sugar eating from a bakery so often, but the sourdough process and the lower sugar content really matter. GAIL's was always bustling but we found seating, enjoyed the dog-friendly atmosphere, and staff that were willing to answer my quality and sourcing questions. The prices at GAIL's are fantastic for the quality. We just went for a similar breakfast at home and literally paid twice as much for things that were half as delicious."

"Lovely pub with amazing staff! Laura, in particular, was really helpful helping us find a table and recommending food for us. We shared a selection of the small plates they were great, and perfect sharer options for friends out for drinks and nibbles. The food was a little slow coming out, and some bits were a little cold, but we put that down to ordering quite a few different dishes, and it didn’t spoil the experience overall. We did witness an uncomfortable incident where a very unhappy customer was complaining in quite an aggressive and intimidating way, but Laura kept her calm and handled it amazingly well. It was hard to watch, so must’ve been awful to be on the receiving end of that kind of complaint management should be proud of their staff!!"

"Lets see, went in and was quiet, music was playing and was served by the waiter who sat us down. Both waiter and manager were friendly, they gave us honest opinions on the food, and when they thought that something would not suit our pallet they told us. Food was prompt and service flowed as it should. It is a shame that there were only 3 other tables of 3 and 5 there. An atmosphere would have created a perfect evening. Saying that I can not fault Food, Drink, Service or Hygiene. The fact that they have a window showing into the kitchen just builds my confidence that the hygiene standard it throughout the restaurant and not just the front. We will definitely be returning as I now have one of their loyalty cards and will get both offers and points. Perhaps we will bring a few more people with us. On a final note, the manager was talking to us about a Rajesh Khana Tribute night, would love to go there for that one. Seems to be a ongoing monthly events. Cant wait for them to start."

"first order the last night. service was exceptional to arrange food to be ready earlier than normal and so a beautiful person with whom we talked. I think this is a mother-daughter team and that we had for my mother when I felt it was something special. I'm vegan and my mom isn't, but we both loved it! and I can be a hard critic with Indians eating, but the aromen, where fantastic. "Thirteen CCC members made their summertime pilgrimage across to East Hampshire to an old Club favourite having booked a couple of weeks in advance. Previously used Covid screening areas, which are still very useful at giving individual tables some privacy, were dismantled in advance to get us all on one long table. We were warmly received by the senior staff as usual. The menu had been updated in February’22, since the previous full club visit and contains an impressive selection of main courses, most of which are bespoke to this venue. The ‘Jungli Mas’ was particularly popular. The staff spoke with authority responding to Members questions about some of the dishes that they had not seen before. (The sauces of many dishes are available commercially from their sister ‘Honey Garden Sauces’ business). As is the case with large groups, chatting prior to service, some of the Members had forgotten what they’d ordered. This was no problem for the excellent staff who quickly rectified any issues. It was noticed that a high volume of takeaway collections and outgoing deliveries was noted – none of this detracted from the activity in the restaurant. You can guarantee a great culinary experience here, and at good value for money. No wonder this restaurant keeps winning awards! IC"

"Before we ordered it said up to 50 minutes, once ordered it said between 1 hour and an hour and 20 and it arrived after an hour and 20, later than we would have been willing to wait if we had known in advance. Food was tepid. Also a dish was missing the main one that we wanted and were told it would arrive in 20 minutes but actually took 35 minutes disappointing"

"I 've been coming to this place from the first day it opened, I 've known some of the team since I was a kid from the old great eastern restaurant (Sussex Street pimlico) They are good, they deserve the business, hard working good people doing good food (Nazakat is great, garlic chilli chicken and Madras are great) Onion bhajis are to die for! Proper. Fried crispy onions my favorite out of a lot of curry houses I 've been too! Taka dhaal is good too along with the dhansak and I cannot forget the Bombay aloo which is the 'bomb!! ' Again hard to find a similar style Bombay aloo. Keep it up guys a real community staple which is hard to come by in pimlico now as the dwindling community is replaced by tall skyscrapers and lots of super rich!"

"Wonderful meal at The Tigers Pad. This is a favourite local restaurant of mine and my family and I suggested it as a venue for a Christmas get-together to a group of friends some of whom hadn't eaten here before. "The food at this restaurant was delicious, with the perfect amount of spice. The menu was a bit limited, mostly featuring rice and lamb dishes with few other meat options. Each dish we tried was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. Despite the pub-like atmosphere, everyone in our group had a great time. We sat in the back to escape the noise from a football match, but were bothered by a flickering light. "We visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration, and as soon as we sat down, the six of us knew it was going to be a bad experience. We were seated downstairs in a booth that was sticky, with fruit flies buzzing around. We ordered poppadoms, which took 20 minutes to arrive and were stale. The waiter replaced them, but they were stale again. The starters were okay, but the main dishes were tough and dry, so most of us didn't eat much. When we asked to speak to the manager about our dissatisfaction with waiting nearly 2 hours for cold food, he never showed up despite our wait. The staff falsely accused us of not wanting to pay and even threatened to call the police. Eventually, the restaurant agreed to discount the items we didn't receive, saving us around £40. The food was below average and the service was the worst I've ever encountered. Another table nearby was also unhappy and demanded a refund, so be cautious if you choose to dine here."

"Visited on a Wednesday evening and the service was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was very pleasant in a very nice setting just off the Tyne Bridge. There is plenty of parking close by, walking distance to Gateshead Metro Station. Walking distance to other good bars such as mircrobus and central for a drink before or after. Food wise, thick curry’s packed with flavour. Food is piping hot and glass window allows a peak into kitchen to see chefs preparing food. Manager added personal touch during visit which was nice whilst taking parents out."

"Delicious! I've been here twice and absolutely love it. The lamb biryani is incredibly flavorful, and the lamb is so tender that it melts in your mouth! It's remarkably delicate and buttery. The prices are reasonable and moderate. The atmosphere inside is warm and charming, really focused on the dining experience. The staff is attentive, and the chef also checks in with guests from time to time. I recommend making a reservation or checking for availability, as the space is small and there are many people eager to dine here. I can't wait to come back again!"

I had Rogan Josh which was excellent. It appears to be a small family run establishment, not verified, and the staff are very helpful.
