"We visited Wagamamas on a Friday afternoon and were impressed by the consistently high standards that we have come to expect from this restaurant chain. The added bonus of having a view of Portsmouth harbour made our experience even more enjoyable."

"I usually don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this restaurant. If you are looking for tasteless food with slow delivery and exorbitant prices, then this is the place for you. A meal for four people, including four beers, one bottle of wine, a shared starter, and only three mains, ended up costing a whopping £220. There was plenty of food left over, not because the portions were large, but because the food was too bland to eat. To top it off, there was a £20 service charge added to the bill, which was difficult to decipher. On top of all of this, the service was poor, making for a nightmarish dining experience at a high price. I would strongly recommend not visiting this restaurant."

"The portion sizes are quite decent and offer good value for the price. I did find the naan a bit small, but that’s a minor detail. I would love to see a Tandoori option on the menu, though I understand that local preferences might not lean towards Tandoori dishes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, giving me a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of India. The music is soothing and enhances the dining experience without being intrusive. The service staff is friendly and very polite, contributing to a wonderful experience during Diwali night. Thank you!"

"Jojolapa is the first Nepalese restaurant in Birmingham, located on Newhall Street. In a city well known for the cuisine of Nepal’s much more famous South Asian neighbour, the restaurant has held its own with discerning diners, so it was high time we tried it ourselves. Atmosphere There’s a buzzy vibrance to the place which contrasts fabulously with the moody low lit interior, dark wood furnishings and carvings. We saw relaxed diners enjoying drinks at the bar as they waited to be seated. Jojolapa has the ‘perfect night out’ atmosphere nailed. food Steamed momo chicken dumplings with mint and coriander sauce and Nepalese tomato sauce, chatamari (Nepalese pancake stuffed with vegetables and fried egg) and momo soup (chicken dimsum broth with noodles) were moreish starters. I was disappointed that the East Asian flavour to our meal pretty much ended there. There were very few main choices that I hadn’t eaten in an Indian restaurant. I opted for one of the noted Nepalese dishes special fish curry with nepalese spices. My guest plumped for the old faithful lamb rogan josh. Both were nice enough but I yearned for more of the starters. The kulfi ice cream was a delicious end to the meal. drinks There is a very respectable wine menu but Jojolapa is the natural home for cocktail lovers. The yummy jojolapa cocktail – black vodka, midori and cranberry juice marked the start of the evening in style and Jojolapa’s twist on the mango lassi served with vodka and orange liquer was gorgeous. overall There are plenty of Indian restaurants in Birmingham that boast similar dishes. But many of these restaurants can only dream of achieving Jojolapa’s cosmopolitan and sexy vibe seductively teamed with a friendly and super efficient service."

"Family get together after lockdown- we had the numbers which allowed us to try out various dishes. Still the best Indian restaurant around!! Fantastic food. I would recommend the crispy okra, mustard chicken tikka, dahi puri and aloo tikki chaat for starters (that’s what we...had and they were top notch). I reckon you could order anything and will not be disappointed. Special mention to the melt-in-the-mouth mustard chicken tikka (we ordered a repeat, it was that good) For mains we had some awesome dishes. My personal favourites gilafi handi, railway lamb, chicken chettinad, vegetable kolhapuri, paneer tikka masala and some rice and garlic naans. Attentive service without it being too much. Just right. Pleasant staff, reasonably priced. It’s a must visit if you are in the area. Can’t wait to go again!!"

"I booked a table at Paradise Lounge after reading some positive reviews on OpenTable, and I wasn't disappointed! The food tasted fresh, and the garlic and coriander naan had a delightful homemade flavor. I definitely plan to return and try more dishes, as my first impression was very positive. The service was great, and the evening ended on a high note with a warm smile."

"The food was decent, but excessively expensive for the quality. The staff was friendly, but we were shocked when, after 50 minutes at our table, we were asked to leave because there were customers waiting. It was a first for me to be asked to leave before an hour had passed, especially since we had a reservation. The owner may want to consider making walk-in customers wait instead of asking seated customers to leave."

"I’m not sure what has taken me so long to write a TripAdvisor review for this place as it’s amazing. The food is incredible, and if you like something hot, the hot garlic chicken resunga won’t disappoint. The chicken tikka masala is a favorite with our teenagers and I think my husband has pretty much tried everything on the menu, and he loves it all! The staff are friendly and make a fuss every time we go, without being too intrusive. Their warmth and attentiveness truly enhance the dining experience. If you haven’t tried momos before, definitely order them—you won’t regret it. They are a perfect introduction to Nepalese cuisine and simply delicious. Overall, this restaurant is a gem, offering authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!"

"We booked several large tables at the Raj Doot, for my leaving 'do '. Everything was perfect. Suman was easy to work with and the terms and conditions of the booking were made really clear. The staff were then, however, prepared to bring a little flexibility to the arrangements and were very kind. The service was impeccable. At one point, I spilled a large glass of wine right across the bar, and the staff just handed me another full glass, while asking me if I was OK. The most important part of the night the food was truly excellent. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Whether you are thinking of a quiet night out, or planning a larger 'event ', do consider this family run gem of a restaurant."

"The Mixed Sharing Plate and the Onion Kulcha were outstanding. The draught lager we ordered was not available so we had to choose an alternative. Helpful staff. Venue easy to find. The Gentsâ restroom was very narrow with hardly any room to pass if someone was stood at the first urinal and social distance was therefore compromised."

"The variety of food and quality was outstanding. We didn’t have a reservation and it was a busy Saturday evening but they found us a table quickly. We had a cocktail first at the bar which, like the main restaurant, had a buzzy vibe, full of young people but not intimidating for us slightly older! The price point is spot on and both myself and my husband loved, loved, loved the lamb chops best ever. The service was attentive and we will definitely be back although if we bring friends we will ask for a table in the conservatory as it’s quieter so more conducive to chatting."

"One of good place where you can get the Indian street food!! The place is small and good, nice food good and hygiene. The prices are cheap compared to other restaurants. Everything was perfect nothing to complain. Bit challenging to find a parking slot. Overall, it’s 4.5/5. Definitely give it a try!! Note: The pics were taken under the blue light!!"

"During our business trip, we dined at this restaurant with a large group. The meal was decent, but the service was below par."
"I traveled from East Kilbride to visit this restaurant after hearing great things about it. This clean and comfortable family-owned restaurant had spacious tables, which set a great tone for our dining experience. The owner, who was very friendly, greeted us and asked about our preferences for curry dishes. He offered suggestions from a unique menu that featured different dishes than a typical curry restaurant. We tried a variety of starters and main dishes, all of which were outstanding. The Bhel Poori, consisting of pulses, nuts, red onion, and coriander in tamarind chutney with mini poppadoms, was fresh with a refreshing lime flavor. The '65' chicken, marinated in garlic, chilli, and curry leaf with butter and cream, was similar to a pakora and truly delicious. For mains, we enjoyed the Chicken Chettinad and Lamb Passanda with rice and Onion Kulcha bread, all of which were also exceptional. We couldn't resist trying the Ferrero Rocher Ice cream and Pistachio ice cream from the dessert menu, both of which were deemed the best ice cream by my wife, an ice cream enthusiast. The quality of ingredients and flawless cooking techniques were evident in every dish, and the fair prices reflected the outstanding quality. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a unique and delicious curry experience. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes next week!"

"Ordered a takeaway for one from Rajboy as one guest amongst a group we had over from dinner couldnt/wouldn’t eat home made Keema lamb. The starter consisted of 3 small bite sizes pieces of chicken and the main was plain wrong. I rang and complained, they explained the dish was not what would be normally ordered but as I pointed out to them,if they can’t make a speciality dish properly then don’t have it on the menu stick to what you know and might be good at! No offer of a refund or alternative dish not that I asked for it."
