"We dine at Pizza Hut regularly so we know what’s what, we aren’t unfamiliar with things here. We haven’t however been since COVID and the experience is somewhat strange at least when compared to other restaurants. The 2*’s is for the food, nothing ‘wrong’...with the pizza and sides, came out piping hot and delicious. Our issues were with the ordering experience and salad bar. There is no option to order with a member of staff, you HAVE to order on their website while sat at your table, you also HAVE to pay card, you CANNOT pay cash and you CANNOT use a gift card, its non negotiable. We’ve not come across this post COVID, all other restaurants allow cash payments and an alternative if you don’t or cant order on an app. The next issue was with the salad bar, this is their strange part. Take Harvester for example; the salad bars are open, but the servers get it for you and plate it up. In Pizza Hut you can choose between Green Salad, Coleslaw, Potato Salad or Bacon Bits (Yes just four choices) and you can only choose one on their online ordering system, extras are £1 per choice. So you cant have Salad with Coleslaw and Bacon Bits, the system doesn’t allow this and it would cost £2 extra. I don’t think we will be back until this post COVID experience is changed we understand changes need to be made, but we eat out every week at least once, and have done through COVID and haven’t had any strange issues like this before."
