"Disappointingly average food and a confused main menu choices on a Sunday of roast dinners one last pink beef at 5pm that wasn't pink it was well done) and sandwiches and hot roast sandwiches with chips, special was lobster and was quite expensive for the quality. Also a bit eclectic in the interior design back to the 80's in the conservatory and a different style in the main room with a hotch potch of accessories in the mix. Overall just OK, better pubs nearby for a Sunday with friends."

"Everything was very average. Bar was busy but we were met with are u a function? The red wine was poured very sloppily and spilt at base of the glass. Not noticed by the staff and when a serviette was requested to clean up it was handed to me Roger in with. None of the waiters/waitresses were particularly knowledgeable about the food. When the main course arrived it was presented by the waitress as 'who 's having fish '. We asked for a jug of water but glasses were poured no jug left and when one of us asked for a refill only one person in the table topped up before the waitress left totally ignoring 3 requests. When she did return to the table after managing Roger her attention her face said she wasn 't happy. We asked for a 10 minute break after the main course before having desert but then got asked a further 3 times in about as many minutes. It feels like the restaurant hangs in the name. Nothing special."

"Avoid this place like the plague! It’s really disappointing. The atmosphere is non-existent, and the food is just mediocre. The only redeeming quality is that it’s quite inexpensive. However, you’d be better off going to Wetherspoons instead."
