"The best place for South Indian tiffin in Birmingham, without a doubt. I have had a few visits and the food quality has been consistent. Interestingly, they serve the longest dosa in Europe, which is called the Chennai Dosa special. You should not miss it. Bit pricey but the food quality justifies it. Recommended!"

"So great! Decided on this place last minute. We were trying to get a last dose of Indian food on our way out of town. We hit up Indian Summer, and while it was fine if you’re looking for a more UK-ified hipster take, it really wasn’t the authentic Indian spot. This place is small, run by Indians, and Indian customers. In other words, it’s legit. Get the Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower) and Chili Paneer appetizers for sure. The curries were great, and the bread (get the Parota) was like none I’ve had before. So good and soft and flakey in a way. Great people and staff and would definitely be back."

"Cannot fault the Copper Lounge. The staff are mega polite and friendly. Always feels clean and tidy. The food both starters and mains always hot, good portion sizes and so tasty. I've tried almost every Chicken dish now and every time the quality of the Chicken is brilliant. Well worth the money if you don't mind paying a touch extra for a great meal."

"We were sightseeing in the area all day, and were tired and hungry. We found this lovely Indian restaurant. The proprietor was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. We had Lamb Rogan Josh and a lovely prawn dish in coconut milk and spices with garlic naan. A lovely calm oasis close to the Borough Market."

"I have ordered delivery/takeout from this restaurant many times and the food quality is incredible. However, my recent dining experience was disappointing. I had made a reservation for an early dinner as I was with a pregnant friend and didn't want to keep her waiting long. Upon arrival, we waited at the door for a few minutes before being seated. We were given popadoms, but then waited for 20 minutes without menus, drinks, or a waiter in sight. I had to go find a menu myself. Feeling ignored, we decided to leave and I offered to pay for the popadoms we didn't ask for (which were surprisingly expensive at £4.95). This experience was a real letdown, especially considering the high quality of food I have received in the past from this restaurant. It seems like they should stick to what they do best and focus on takeout/delivery rather than dine-in service."

"We love our Indian and usually frequent Jamavar or Tamarind for our fix. We wanted something more authentic so we tried here. Service is so good it made you feel good about yourself to be there. Ambience is very Indian but that makes it cool we thought. The food was fresh and very tasty and wasn’t nearly as expensive as our Mayfair regular gems. We will be back here no doubt."
