"I was looking forward to eating in. I took my twins with me. We order beef soup and prawns with noodles. Absolutely not what I expected. Raw prawns came. My boy asked me if the prawns are meant to pink when cooked. Seriously a disgrace to the chef. Soup was beef cube not homemade broth. Seriously train your staff, front of house server was not bother about it. As he lost all interest. Never again not even if it was free."

"Booked this restaurant for my Birthday meal before a concert in Old Street. Interesting place with unusual decor. Strange service too as not sure that English was native to the greeter. The cocktails are nice but overly sweet. The food is very good actually but traditional Thai, not modern. Reminds me of Thai food from the 90s. When you have the likes of Busaba these days, it's hard to go backwards and eat old school Thai food. Had a 20% discount applied and found the bill still very expensive for the type of restaurant. Portions were big so had loads of left overs. Very strange place but not good and not bad. Couldn't recommend to a friend as I only recommend very good places and this was pretty average. Having said that, it's not disappointing."

"We've been eating here since it opened and enjoyed takeaways through Covid. The owner is a likeable chap and I remember discussing the origin of the restaurant as a truly authentic dining experience with dishes direct from his home village cooked by Auntie on our first visit. A simple menu delivered what it promised. On our latest visit, the menu had changed to become a bit more mainstream and the furniture has gone from eclectic to uniform. I'm not saying the food's not good (it's great), but much has transformed the humble eatery. It's a nice place and I hope it continues to do well somehow I miss the limited menu... Still, I recommend it."

"The Siam Smile restaurant is located near the Antrobus Hotel, with a parking lot available for guests. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the hotel gardens and has a lovely, airy atmosphere. They serve a buffet on Mondays and Wednesdays, but also offer a la carte options. Live music is featured on the first Monday or Wednesday of each month, but it's best to check with the hotel for specific details. I opted for the buffet while my wife chose a la carte. The mixed starters were all delicious, but the chicken satay with its thick sauce was a standout for me. I received extra portions at no additional cost. For my main course, I had a red chicken curry which had just the right amount of heat and was served with fragrant jasmine rice. The service was excellent and accommodating, even when we changed our minds multiple times. We look forward to returning soon."

"Chose the travellers to host dinner for about 25 people for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. The manager set up an area for us, did the decorations and it looked great. Food was pre ordered and all courses were served by staff so that we were all eating at the same time, absolutely no complaints about the meals, service or atmosphere!! A fantastic time was had by all! Lovely local pub."

"this is a great place Thai restaurant that we unfortunately do not visit as much as we want. it has been an established part of my hometown hornchurch and serves fantastic Thai cuisine for many years. I am now glad to say that on Saturday we had a opportunity to visit and again eating was full of all the aromes they expect from this style of food. on Saturday we have walked on our fifteen minute walk to the heart of the city where they find the restaurant. we entered and received the usual friendly reception before we took our places. While we looked at the menu, we ordered a beautiful bottle of maison bergon 2020 a delightful French sauvignon blanc, full of citrus fruits, apple and lemongras aromas. unusual for us we decided to choose a set menu. we chose the Bangkok menu with an additional Thai salad. this started with the prawn crackers and sweet chili diving sauce. the starter was a plate consisting of chickensatai, spring rolls, huh on toast, chicken strips prawn tempura, which was all fresh, hot and full of fabulous thai aromen. we followed this with our additional plate of the yum nuar a fabulous spicy salate of cut grilled sirloin, swirl, early swirl, coriander, lemon juice, fish sauce chili flock, which I would definitely recommend. we now went to the main courses that would be with ingwer in black bohnensoße, chicken green curry, sweet with egg noodles. thai jasmin reis. the aromen and choir again complicated themselves perfectly and made every dish absolutely delicious. to finish they can have either tee, coffee or a few pots vanilla ice cream. this brought our charming Thai lunch to the end, and we hope to do again in the near future. I would highly recommend a visit here as eating is fantastic and there is always a good friendly service. also it is a long established part of our community and should be supported. many thanks for our fabulous lunch and look forward to seeing them all again soon."

"On the eve of our wedding we realised that we would have nearly thirty family and friends in local hotels and decided it would be fun to invite them all out for an informal meal the night before the « big day » to get the party rolling and give a chance for guests to meet and mingle before the actual wedding day. We did not want the event to over shadow the main event the following day and wanted to food to be a distinct contrast. As regular visitors to Thailand (and enjoying frequent lunches) at Charm we came up with the idea if they could host us. They immediately offered the whole restaurant to us and gave us some brilliant menu ideas that had lots of dishes for sharing. The planning was simple, the manager charming and everything easily organised. The evening of the event itself was great fun, it was very relaxed with lots of laughter and smiles and made for a memorable start to our wedding celebrations. The food and drink were delicious and even the « I can’t eat anything spicy » brigade enjoyed it. The service included the famous Thai smiles and the large and varied group were very well catered for. Thank you so much for this, I can’t wait to be back for a pad Thai lunch soon."

"Totally satisfied and highly recommending it. We arrived at 19:30 on a Friday night and was taken to the first floor as the ground floor is full. The atmosphere is great nice Thai style wooden chains, patterned placemats and painting on the wall, and most importantly relaxing music. I felt like I am in a nice Thai SPA room. The food is very nice and served with delicate dishes, bags and candle base. We had sticky rice and green curry with pork, which is spicy but definitely delicious yummy when mixed together. The starter combo including chicken satay, spring roll, prawn toast and stick fried prawn is hot and tasty, which are well suited on mixed vegetables that have been flavored with sweet sauce. We also had a Thai fried noodle with prawn which was so welcomed by kids. The iced milk tea is also great. Overall this is one of the best Thai cuisine we had in the UK and all the staff are very professional and kind. Highly recommend!"

"Restaurant was very quiet, although we did go early on in the evening so this can't always be helped. Menu is quiet hard to understand and after ordering our starters, the wrong one came out. This happens at restaurants and I am understanding of this but the waitress then came back to tell me the item they had brought out was the one I order whilst reading the menu to me. I explained how it wasn't correct (Cola Wings were being served instead of Thai-Till) to which she proceeded to laugh whilst looking back at the kitchen. Rest of the food was okay and the Thai Green had a nice kick to it. Overall it was okay, but there are other places I would visit over this."

"We have been coming here for years but our recent experience was terrible. Service was appalling, they were not busy in the restaurant but very busy with take aways. We arrived at 7pm and left at 8.35 having only had a starter platter in that time. We waited almost an hour for our main course to arrive and then gave up and left. They still presented the full bill to us despite our dissatisfaction and when we complained they took only £5 off it. Wine took ages to arrive as did starters, as did water. They also took 15 mins to tell us they were now out of house white wine. Didn’t offer an alternative for the same price. The management here is clearly an issue, they also need to decide in the kitchen where their priorities lie. Diners or take away! We will not be going back anytime soon as we left hungry and went to another restaurant nearby. I hope you take this review seriously and take actions to ensure no one else has to sit though a similar experience"

"Wow what a find! This Thai brasserie really felt like being in Asia. Set in the Enterprise Shopping centre adjacent to the train station, the high red beamed ceilings with ceiling fans and open court feel made it mimic the food courts in Thailand and Singapore. Service is unbelievably swift and staff are beyond friendly! Highly recommend the som tham (very spicy papaya salad), chicken satay, pad Thai and the tamarind duck. Highly recommend. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner."
