"Walking up Borough High Street, I passed Truly Indian on my way to sainsburys. I noticed that the chicken tikka wrap was back on their lunch time menu. It had not been advertised for while but historically I had at least one a week when there were last on the menu. They were amazing £5.95 for the wrap and a drink.So decided to have one again, this time its advertisd at £4.95 but no drink. Not to worry dont like fizzy drinks anyway.So at my desk and half way through it and although the sauce had changed and not as good as previous the main issue was the chicken. I decided to unwrap it and clearly the old chuncks of chicken tika have been replaced with finer cuts of chicken with no tikka. And I counted 4 very small slivers the size of a finger nail.This is just unbeleivable. I know produce and rents have gone up but a decent operator is not taking the mickey with this type of trick.Management please sort it out please, at £5 i can get a decent burger of the market or a mixed meat mezze at the establishment opposite you. Not happy. Clearly not, as I dont write reviews unless something is great or something is really bad."

"this restaurant is a real hidden gem. there is an interesting and varied menu with some of which we had not seen before. the waiters gave excellent advice regarding selection and selection and are the most interested I can remember. we shared the hotplate for two between three of us and there were generous amounts of delicious and freshly cooked paprika. we ordered a selection of different curries for the main course and they were all well cooked and very tasteful. the portions were generous and we fought for the conclusion. the waiters were thrilled to discuss other dishes when we were finished and most pleasantly thanked us for the need and encouraged us again. we will definitely try if we are back in the opposite!"

"The best Indian takeaway in Brighton I've had. They have plenty of gluten free options and the food tastes amazing. We got chicken bhuna and Shahi chef special lamb curry both were the best I've tasted. The onion bhaji also tasted great and they give you three rather large ones for one portion. Overall great service, they gave us free basmati rice and poppadoms, and the chicken bhuna came with a free onion salad. The food arrived hot which is rare for us as we are relatively far out from Brighton centre. Will definitely order from here again."

Our goal of trying the exceptional and unique curries offered here is still ongoing. The standout dish of the evening was the lamb and spinach curry, which was delicious. "We booked a table for 4 for 7.30pm, arrived 7.25 and it took 20 mins. to get severed for drinks. It got worse! We were finally shown to the table of a 20% full restaurant and 25mins later finally had the head waiter ask if he could take our order...with an attitude as if he was doing us a favour... We were so put off by the dirty, 'sticky ' tables and v slow service we told the waiter we were leaving, paid for our drinks and left. Never again will we go back!"

"First time I’ve tried this restaurant, attracted by the word fusion. Also I’m a vegetarian and the veggie menu looked so amazing (not usually the case) so I was keen to try it out. BTW they even do vegan food unheard of in Belfast. Though fish and meat are also prominently featured on the menu. I had toasted paneer with a coconut sauce and lentil and chickpea type of patty with beetroot coulis absolutely delish! My friend had the chicken with rosemary and was equally impressed. Staff very friendly and easy to get their attention. And all reasonably priced. Lovely vibe in the place would highly recommend and will definitely be back!"

"Decent food but they always take absolutely ages to deliver. Tonight was a record where after waiting over 2 hours for my food, I rang them and asked them where it was. They told me it was on its way. Fifteen minutes later they rang me back and said they can't make it because there is no driver. IT TOOK THEM 140 MINUTES, AFTER I ORDERED, TO DECIDE THEY DIDN'T HAVE A DRIVER! Won't be ordering from these absolute clowns again, suggest you save yourself the hassle too. I would highly recommend the set dinner for 1 if you have a big appetite. Great quality food for an affordable price. "Unfortunately we did not see this restaurant at it's best. It was the day of a rugby final so it was packed. Knowing how busy the place would be we reserved a table and got seated on time. after a short wait we ordered and drinks and nibbles arrived quite quickly. Starters then came luke warm, and not particularly special. We then waited, and waited, and waited. An hour and three quarters after we arrived there was still no sign of a main course or any service we had tried to catch the eyes of the people working there several times. In the end we decided to leave. We reached the counter and asked to pay what we had received. This came to £40 for three drinks, nibbles and starters which we paid. In all fairness the manager was very apologetic. The waitress was very friendly as well. I could not fault either of these two. But clearly they must have been understaffed and this resulted in delays. We weren't the only group to complain about the time. So, in short, I can't really comment on how good this restaurant is usually. It has very good reviews which is why I made the reservation. But I would avoid on match days."

"bookable for 3, which a child, turned to find over 20 people outside waiting for entry. from others waiting in wait, a mistake was found in the booking system so that all table bookings were accepted, but they did not honor any of them. it had come first, served first. over 20 minutes asked, and the feedback from customers who go, it was 2 hours to eat dinner dinner, since service was slow. even if we have made it inside, that a handwritten statement on the wall said that the card machine was broken, so that only cash would be accepted. was there with a child and had booked before the concert later in the evening. decided after 45 minutes waiting time that we had to go to another place to make sure we had a dinner before the concert. at no time has anyone from the restaurant talked to the people in the waiting queue while we were there. a great experience. will not be able to reserve table again if this is how they treat people."

"We were all a little sceptical about choosing this month's venue for our monthly dining trip, but have to say we were not disappointed. Hospitality was very good, they were accommodating when we asked to switch from a booth table to a more open table. Each course was enjoyable, and just enough time between courses. They catered for the odd amendments to the mains, and served us up some good flavoursome dishes. Would recommend again and again. After working in Lye for over 35 years and seeing the demise of so many good Indian restaurants, Malik's has certainly made me want to go back for more. Well done guys."

"We live nearby and usually avoid restaurants that serve meat, so we were hesitant to try this one for a long time, even though it seemed quite accommodating for vegans. However, we finally decided to give it a chance last week, and we had a surprisingly wonderful experience. All vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, and the chef even made the dal makhani vegan upon our request."
