"Latteria is open daily for breakfast and lunch from Monday and offers late dinner service from Thursday to Saturday. As a nod to Italy, we ordered an "Aperol Spritz" (£8.50), which we enjoyed immensely. The menu features other Italian-inspired cocktails like "Mojito Milan" and an extensive selection of Italian wines and coffee. It’s hard to beat Italian cuisine, and Latteria represents its country’s culinary tradition very well. We started with a delicious rosemary garlic focaccia (£5), which was crispy and flavorful. We also had a lentil salad with green apple, cucumber, and datterino tomatoes (£8.50) that was a delightful surprise! The combination of simple ingredients created amazing flavors, showcasing the essence of good Italian cooking. We particularly enjoyed how the fresh apple complemented the rich lentils. For our main courses, we tried the tagliatelle pomodoro, which is served in a classic tomato sauce with fresh basil (£7.50). This vegetarian dish can easily be made vegan by substituting the pasta. Once again, the dish relied on simple ingredients, resulting in a wonderfully fresh and tasty meal. We also opted for the chicken Milanese served with rocket salad and fries (£13). It was impressively large, but we polished it off quickly! The breadcrumb coating was crispy without being greasy, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The salad was fresh, and the fries were excellent. We couldn’t resist trying the house-made profiteroles (£5), and we were so glad we did. They were perfect choux pastries filled with fresh cream and drizzled with chocolate—simply heavenly! Overall, Latteria is a bright and lively Italian restaurant in Islington, offering high-quality food and service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Just a short walk from Angel Station, it sits at the heart of Milan-inspired dining! I highly recommend it for a delightful meal."

"Excellent authentic Italian food, celebrating the best of artisan regional cooking in diverse ways. The ingredients are imported from Italy so you can really taste the difference. We started with Espresso Martini as our aperitivo and chose it with a twist; a hint of coconut it was the best one we've ever had! For small plates we had octopus carpaccio with pepper celery salad, and red golden beetroot salad with kohlrabi goats cheese. Both small plates were gorgeous and the flavours were mindblowing. We continued with bowls of fresh pasta: Norma di paesan (aubergines, stracciatella, pine nuts basil), Ragu di manzo (mafalde with slow roasted wild beef shin ragu) and Ravioli bicolore (crayfish, prawn mascarpone with a tomato bisque). These stunning pasta dishes had the real traditional Italian taste, so you felt like being in Italy. Paesan can also make gluten free pasta or gnocchi on request. We recommend pairing the dishes with one of the fabulous wines from the wine list that represents various regions of Italy. Our side, tenderstem broccoli with garlic almonds, was very tender and tasty. We ended our dinner with beautiful, irresistible Caprese (almond flour chocolate cake with mascarpone and strawberry sauce), mouth watering and warm Frittelle al pistacchio (mini doughnuts with shaved white chocolate), and Limoncello which was like a burst of sunshine in a glass. Paesan Crouch End has a nice atmosphere and the staff is wonderful, welcoming and very friendly. This is a charming restaurant with outstanding service and absolutely delicious five star food where the flavours sing."

"I cannot believe the service I had last night. I am a regular customer to Cornershop and usually enjoy my night. I have recommended this place to so many people, including my cousin who I was out with yesterday. We were having a good time, waiting to order drinks at the bar, and the bar man moves a no service sign right by us so that we no longer are receiving bar service. Now bare in mind we having been ordering drinks from here all night, and for this particular round we had been waiting for a while. So, I moved the sign back to where it was originally a little bit to the right). All of a sudden, we were kicked out of the club by the apparent owner. While outside, I asked to speak with the manager/owner the guy that kicked us out), however, all I got in response was rudeness and dismissal. I wanted to talk with him not argue) as I believed it was a minor misunderstanding. One security guard told me that the manager is coming, while the other told me he is not coming. While we were visibly upset, the security just laughed at us, ignored us and let their male friends through. As a consumer who has paid for entry drinks) I hold the right to speak to a manager, but my complaint was not handled correctly at all. As a result, this is how my night continued: As two young ladies we couldn 't get home since being kicked out unfairly, we didn 't know where we were). I lost my phone as I was so angry and we ended up basically hitch-hiking from a stranger and got home at 6am. The bottom line is that I am a regular at Cornershop and have never had such unfair service EVER. They seemed to not take us seriously because we were young women. All I wanted was my money back and some simple decency, but this is apparently too much to ask for from here."
