"Pizza express is one of those old reliable places. Very child friendly and you know they will eat the food. For adults its possibly a bit boring but it's very predictable (which is both good and bad). The staff at this branch were friendly and professional. It's more a place when you can't be bothered to cook and the children are being fussy than for a special occasion."

"We were a walk on to this restaurant and afterwards wished we had kept on walking. Food was bland and uninspiring, decor the same. Waiting staff are not the most helpful. So the food, my wife, had the chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce, which was bland and very thin, not as described. Well, as you say, chefs with over 40 years of experience should know what they need to do. As for me giving lots of negative reviews, I don't think I have only given my humble opinion. When food is poor, what can I say, I can only give a review on what is presented in front of me. Sorry if that offends."

"We’re lucky enough to know Riccardo and the superb Al Boccon Venetian Wedding Feast concept from its origins at Richmond, and it delights me to be able to confirm it has travelled very well out to Wiltshire. All the elements are there a panoply...of at least a dozen beautifully conceived and prepared courses of simple Italian cuisine, introduced and served with his inimitable panache by the Propietor. From peppers to truffled pasta to aubergines to langoustines to scallops, building cleverly to the masterpiece of roast suckling pig, served juicily with its unique thin crackling and potatoes. My choice of dessert was the proper, homemade Tiramisu, served in a glass jar. From previous experience we took our host’s recommendations for the various complementary wines to enjoy as the courses unfolded each one introduced with a knowledgeable flourish, then Riccardo slammed the Grappa glasses on the table and we knew we’d made it to the finishing line! It’s crazy, but trust me it works. The grub is exemplary and the experience itself is beyond theatre it’s almost like a Magic Show!"

"in the caffe harmonie a few times during this last week. the only reason I went first was that it was close to the hotel and we had to eat under a small time pressure and then study again. the reason why I visited the second time was that eating was so amazing at the first visit. at the first visit I decided to use the monk with tagliatelle. words can not describe how delicious it was. at the second visit I decided to get the filet steak and again; it was an excellent meal. in the words of the terminator. I'll be back! thanks to the staff for the great food and the excellent service."

"Took a trip down for a late lunch/early tea on Friday. Met with friendly smiles from all the staff, which sets you off well straight away. A complimentary garlic bread came, and it was lush. Decided to try the new smash burgers from the menu, and chose the sambuca spicy. My wife went old school with penne Bolognese. Meals arrived, well presented, and the burger was amazing, well worth the money, packed with two meat patties and all the trimmings. Very filling, and leaves a hot but tasty experience. Well worth the visit, good prices, quality food, and first class staff."

"Food was fantastic, service was good. Red wine was freezing, had to ask to be warmed up. Table was very sticky to touch. Would need deep clean on table to get it off not just a wipe down. Overall was good and would come back again."

"We live locally and have heard great things, so we thought we give it a try and booked a table for my birthday celebrations on a Sunday 6 August. What we heard was true! Great food we all had different dishes to include Sunday Roast, all of which were delicious and fantastically presented even the children's pizza which were huge! Wonderful ambience, very relaxed and beautifully clean too! Lots of friendly staff, keen to help and very polite. Good value for freshly cooked cuisine. We will be back! Thanks very much for a wonderful experience."
"We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while strolling around London. We were pleasantly surprised to find that their menu catered to everyone's needs, including a fussy eater and a vegetarian in our group. The pizzas were cooked perfectly with a generous amount of fresh vegetables as toppings, and the seafood pasta (Scoglio) was outstanding. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection, as was the spaghetti. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and would be a great place to meet friends for a night out, even though it was not overly crowded."

"Pretty much love everything about this place very cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Food is great have never been disappointed with any meal I've ordered, quite a lot to choose from, too. Prices are reasonable; wouldn't be the first choice for lunch as meal costs but definitely a great choice for a nice, romantic dinner."

"The food was good but not amazing, not great value for the price. The restaurant space was quite tight and it’s hard to get the attention of staff. The bread and olives are nice, with a few different types of bread like seeded and some containing nuts. The starters were big enough to share but the ratio of vegetables to the portion size was too small which lead them them running out quickly. This pattern follows with the mains but the dish was well cooked in all. The best part was definitely the dessert. They were light and not too rich with the show stopper of the Tiramisu. I would recommend this place for a more relaxing dessert and wine evening hangout."

"This is based on a one time honest experience: Place was inviting and service was good and quick, but then again it wasn't busy at all. Food was good and bad. Ill elaborate: The person i was with had a stone baked pizza and it was amazing, no questions there. I had pasta Carbonara and then pasta Bolognese to see if it was any better. The carbonara was not good at all, the sauce was so little i was tasting the dough from which the spaghetti was made. It made the spaghetti dry and bad tasting. The Bolognese was good as far as taste goes, but there was something very odd. The sauce was very fat, as a matter of fact, it was so fat, it was sticking to the plate and fork like fine coating. Ive only ever seen this when cooking lamb(i cook). Obviously its not from the beef itself, its fat that was added to the sauce/meat mixture itself. I thought it was perhaps butter(or fat milk), but the consistency of the sauce wasnt thick and velvety, so i doubt it. Was probably animal fat. Ofc i might be wrong. In any case, the 25g of fat per serving of pasta Bolognese is probably wrong. As for pricing, id happily pay the price for the pizza, it was awesome! But the pasta, for what it is, was too expensive. I can say about the rest of the mains, but avoid the pasta if you can and grab yourself a tasty pizza"

"Having arrived at 5.45pm for our Anniversary meal (we were asked if it was a special occasion on booked and I said it was) you had a Wedding Reception so it was busy. I went to bar and got two drinks and said I had booked a table to be informed the restaurant was closed because of the Wedding, I said I had booked and voiced my disapproval. She went to see someone and said yes ok but if you would like to have your drinks first as the waitress was busy with the wedding! After 45mins passed I went back to the bar and asked what was going on we were shown to the restaurant, which looked more like a billiards room. There were no tables laid and nobody else in it. The waitress put down our knives and folks and a paper serviette, still no table cloth. She took our drinks order but we did have to explain what Brut meant, a bottle of Prosecco and a pint of lager. The menu was typed on a plain A4 sheet on a clip board, this was NOT the menu on your web site. We looked round and there was no atmosphere, music just silence it was more like a working man’s club! After looking at the menu we both decided this was not for us so I went back to the bar and informed we were going but the waitress had already uncorked the Prosecco and poured the pint so I paid £33,for the drinks bill and left. Twice the waitress said to us she had told someone to take the menu off the web site. This is the worst dining experience we have ever encountered hence this complaint."

"I was visiting from London and joined friends for a birthday dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. I really appreciated the service; the staff were friendly and approachable. The food was good, though I wasn't particularly fond of the dish I ordered. However, the portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were appealing (I tried my friend's lobster ravioli and liked that even more). Overall, it's a lovely place run by genuinely wonderful people. Service: Dine-in."

"My wife and I have just been for Sunday lunch and I can honestly say that the food was absolutely fabulous. The confit pork cheek was the best starter that I have had and the pigeon breast was equally as good. The duck breast was perfect and the seafood board was amazing. Great, friendly staff adds even more to this lovely bistro which really promotes local seafood in fact promotes exceptional food."

"We had booked for Saturday brunch. Arrived on time and sat in the cafe area rather than the restaurant which in hindsight was a mistake because all of the servers were focused on that area for hotel guests. After waiting about 10 minutes we were eventually given menus and then had to wait quite a while to order. Food came relatively quickly but was unfortunately underwhelming, and tiny portions especially for the price. The television was blaring when I walked in and asked the man behind the bar to turn it off, he only turned it down. They were playing other music so it just felt really at odds to have the TV on, and then have two soundtracks competing over each other. I'm not sure I would go back here. The decor is interesting and eclectic but I don't think that's enough to recommend in my opinion. Perhaps lunch is better?"
