"I had minestrone soup and penne bolognese. Felt authentic but relatively tasteless, had to take quite a lot of pepper and salt and parmesan cheese. I would have liked a little more intense tomato flavor and more herbs. Good bread for the soup. The pasta was overcooked and the tomato sauce a little burnt but very nicely presented. Still bottled water was very good (Acqua Panna Tuscany) The Esperanto macchiato afterwards had a lot of foam, big as a lungo but good and strong. Nice waitress but the restaurant looked a bit like a school canteen."

"I attended with a group of work friends on Sunday 21st July to my belated birthday celebration with a meal before bowling and it was a wonderful meal and a fantastic night the food was fantastic and a very special mention to the wonderful waitress Becky who served my group her excellent customer service made the night such a wonderful event I work in the industry myself so I know how tough of a job it can be but Becky is a real credit to the company and I had to thank her for everything all the staff were brilliant but Becky made it extra special and even took a photograph of my group as well she truly went above and beyond even when I asked if it was possible to play an ABBA song honestly such fantastic service I haven't visited Frankie Benny's for a very long time but after tonight I will not leave it as long on my next visit."

"I had to go up twice to ask to order and call a waiter as we hadn't been asked if we wanted drinks after being sat in the restaurant for minutes. The bill was wrong too, I don't think this one server is reflective of all wait staff but service was appalling on this particular day. When I went up to ask for someone to take our order, I was ignored for a while too... Atmosphere was great, and food was really nice."

"We ordered our meals, which are freshly prepared by the owner's wife. After a brief wait, our starter of olives and bread arrived, and the portion size was excellent. Our main courses were incredibly well-prepared, and the flavors were absolutely amazing. For dessert, I indulged in the homemade baklava, which was outstanding. To top off the experience, the owner treated us to a complimentary shot of limoncello. The entire dining experience was tremendous, so much so that we decided to return the very next night. On our second visit, the owner's daughter was serving, and she was just as welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend Oliveta for anyone looking for a wonderful meal!"

"Unfortunately, we were placed at a table next to the bar, which seemed a Spillover table, without decorations like at other tables next to us (I heard that the lead waiter moved our booking to a larger table that had come). We also had the smell of the rods, which was unpleasant and were pulled behind us during the meal. Our main theme was a clear discrepancy in the quality ordered by two of our dishes; especially 2 Carbonara dishes, one of which was a full taste, sauce and spices, the other we thought was actually another dish. Barely cooked spaghetti, small sauce or taste. We asked if there was a mistake and the chief waiter/manager assured us it was the same dish from another pot. We continued with the plate and returned it, as it was so different and tasteless compared to the other part. We received a replacement carbonara that was much improved, but felt disappointed about the customer service experience and overall experience in the restaurant. Unlike would we go back"

"I recently visited here during a weekend break in Kirkby Lonsdale and I was left extremely disappointed. I tried to book a table for around 8.30 9.00 but was told I could only have a table at 8.00. When I arrived I was asked to sit in the bar until my table was ready which was fairly quick as I was 5/10 mins early. I found the menu to be slightly disappointing and not very Italian inspired despite the name. My order was taken and my starter didn't arrive until around 8.45 which annoyed me slightly as I wanted to book a table later and wasn't able to. (By now the restaurant was almost empty). The garlic bread was lovely but the garlic mushrooms was smothered in pesto ??? The main courses were a complete disappointment once again the chicken pasta was smothered in pesto, probably to hide the fact that it was tasteless and only two pieces of chicken in the whole dish. The carbonara was all curdled. Rather than a smooth sauce it was all lumpy and separated. No black pepper or Parmesan offered. The portion sizes were decent and the fries were lovely. When letting the staff know how disappointed I was with the meal I didn't receive so much as an apology and they quickly asked us for the money and we left. I would definitely not visit here again. Apart from the appalling food I found that I wasn't treated how all the other customers in the restaurant were. This was my wedding anniversary treat and it was far from it!!!"

"Food and service were both good and we even didn't mind being seated next to the kitchen door but what really spoilt the evening was at the end of our main course the music volume was doubled and as we were sitting next to a speaker we had to shout to each other to be heard. Twice we asked for the music to be turned down, but it didn't seem any quieter. Whatever happened to background music that meant you could still talk and hear each other rather than shouting at each other."

"I don't normally do reviews, but this place was a disaster. We went in with a group of 6. They can't split checks so we sat as 2 tables of 3. Table 1 ordered and they sent it to the kitchen. The waitress came back and took Table 2's order. Table 1 had ordered a couple starters. Table 2's food showed up quickly and we insisted they eat without us. They finished their meal while Table 1 sat with no food. About 30 minutes after we ordered our starters showed up. Then another 20 minutes past with nothing. We ran out of time and asked to have our meals boxed. That took another 10 minutes. The place seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers and I'm sure they were just punishing us for asking to split the ticket. Plus, they were fairly rude about the whole situation. This is a huge shame because last year we ate here with no issues and convinced our friends to go with us this time. Never again."

"A dreadful choice of restaurant for breakfast. Am local and have visited tummies for many years, and really rated their food highly, especially breakfast. However made a bad choice to visit Saturday morning for breakfast. Service very slow with rude unhelpful staff. Husband asked for a breakfast sandwich. It came with sausage, bacon and no egg. When he stated to waitress it should come with an egg, she decided arguing that a breakfast sandwich was just bacon and sausage, and was very reluctant to budge. We had to be very persistent that this was incorrect. She then offered to go to kitchen and ask. On her return, she simply said it had been forgotten and they would cook one if he likes !!! Wow !!! She then stated would you like me to get you one then !!! So took his plate back to kitchen, and had an egg put onto the now partially warm sausage and bacon. Bread was dry and all curled up. In all this time I still sat there with no spoon for my muesli and fruit. We had drank our coffee, before the food came to us. She then asked if everything was OK now, and I explained it wasn't and why it wasn't and I would like to see the manager, because it was all unacceptable. She never returned and we never had a visit from manager. Will never use tummies again. Don't make the same mistake as us. The restaurant has new management and it is definitely not for the better."

"I can't fault La Favorita, their pizzas are the best I've ever had, outisde of Italy. The smokey wood fired taste, the base, touch of oregano, the quality of ingredients are genuinely mouth-watering Having had quite a few deliveries, I find collection is the best method. I have noted that they have reheating instructions on the box now. I do pop it in the oven for or mins on a pizza stone after collecting it, unless it was fresh out of the oven. To be completely honest, I would eat it cold for breakfast too. It's a shame they no longer sell the chicken broccolli pasta and I don't find their arancini that good. The last few times, they have been overcooked and far too expensive for what you get. The calamari has been excellent on occasion, on others, not the best. I find their pizzas are mostly consistently excellent. Having tried many others in the area, there is no competition. Apart from their garlic bread, I have found somewhere that I prefer but the pizzas.....faultless."

"I had a truly special date night at the restaurant last night. I had been fishing during the day, and I must say, it was the best fish I've ever tasted. It was topped with mussels and calamari, all elegantly presented in a delicious white wine sauce. "It 's been a while since I 've written a review on Tripadvisor, but after visiting The Delivino restaurant in Crieff it became clear to me that it was time to dust off my keyboard and write one. Myself, my partner and my in laws visited Crieff for the afternoon, travelling from Leslie, in Fife. We stopped a friendly looking passer by on the High Street and asked him if he could reccomend somewhere we could go for a nice lunch. Without hesitation, he advised us to go to The Delivino and pointed us in the general direction. We were so pleased he did. If I was to sum up the experience in a word, it would be 'perfection '. First we were warmly welcomed in and guided to a table of our choice. Next, perfectly timed, a waitress came over to us, first, to take a drinks order then shortly after to take a food order. It goes without saying, her attentiveness and timing was impeccable and she was very warm and friendly. On that note, let 's get onto the food. That word again perfection. The four of us were very pleased with our meals, they were all very tasty, well presented and cooked to absolute perfection. The service throughout was also perfect. A perfect amount of time was given to decide on drinks and menu items not too long, not too rushed. The waiters and waitresses glided around, always being available but never appearing to encroach on our peace and space and their manner was always warm, subtle and thoroughly focussed on the diners. As I said, if I was to sum it up in one word, the word would be 'perfection '. We will definitely return."

"We booked our table for half in advance as my parents were travelling from up north for the day for my mums birthday. No problem on arrival...we were shown to our seats quickly. Our drinks order was taken and given to us within We all opted for course lunch I think came to under Myself and my father ordered the same chicken chorizo pasta dish for mains. Our starters arrived fairly quickly and I opted for the bruschetta... the first few bites it was fine but then it was a soggy slice of bread with ice cold tomatoes dolloped on top so I think that’s what made the bread soggy fairly quickly? Who knows... anyway our mains arrived and i was presented the pasta carbonara so I raised this with the waitress and she looked at me as if I had lied so I hate making a further fuss so I accepted the dish. It was tasty none the less... My main issue throughout my experience here was where we was sitting. It’s right next to where the waitresses/waiters gather to scan the restaurant so it was off putting like we was being watched through out our whole meal... the feeling of someone peering over your shoulder. Not good... I would go back as I said the pasta was fine and my other experiences were great I am just gutted about my soggy bruschetta/wrong pasta and being watched through out my lunch! My mum given it was her birthday loved it and enjoyed the red berry cheesecake!"

"in the caffe harmonie a few times during this last week. the only reason I went first was that it was close to the hotel and we had to eat under a small time pressure and then study again. the reason why I visited the second time was that eating was so amazing at the first visit. at the first visit I decided to use the monk with tagliatelle. words can not describe how delicious it was. at the second visit I decided to get the filet steak and again; it was an excellent meal. in the words of the terminator. "The service and atmosphere was good. The restaurant is, in fact, in a historic building. But I was disappointed by the food. I am glad I didn't have to pay for the food (I was there as a part of a paid-for Christmas dinner. Having lived and traveled extensively in Italy for two years, I know what real Italian food tastes like. In this case, the bruschetta was soggy and the tortelli was overcooked. So it was a really disappointing experience food-wise."
