"We went for my adult daughters birthday, it was mediocre, Server came took drinks order about 1 min later another one came for food order, then hot food came out luke warm, they bought the meat round in the beginning very fast then when one of the party asked for chicken hearts they said just cooking 20 mins that was not an issue but they never came to our table again. One of the staff spilt a whole glass of coke down my daughter he did get nudged by a customer and he did try and clear up as best as he could. The manager reluctantly gave us her meal for a kids price and 3 drinks free... the staff where spending more time talking at the cooking area. To be honest I think it is overpriced for what it is the food is Ok nothing special I wouldn't rush back or rush to recommend it. Also the drinks are expensive bottle of wine £38.50!!!"

"Food awful. Bland sides served in foil cups like small pie dishes. Macaroni cheese was dry, crusty and had never had a piece of cheese near it. Served in a foil pie dish. Beef meatballs in tomato sauce were 3 dry meatballs in 1mm of watery passata. The 'creamed ' mushroons were in a watery curry sauce. Lasagne, again, bland and in a small foil pie dish. Some meat was fatty and inedible. Some was as dry as a bone. I never, ever write a bad review, there is always something I like but this was shocking. With the prices of the drinks too (4 x Pepsi Max), a meal for two of us was £77. Save your money and go to Nandos. Twice."

"For someone as picky as me I found that this place is amazing. The quality of food and service is amazing which is really hard to find in restaurants in and around London. I would completely recommend this place, particularly for its chicken and Baklava which seemed to go down wonderfully amongst my siblings. The waiter was fabulous as he made me and my sisters feel extremely welcome as well as the manager. The food came on time and were cooked to a high standard; not to mention that the food came out fast. Portions are a good size; enough to fill you up and enough to leave you with room for dessert. Music and bar created a welcoming ambiance while eating, particularly as managers and waiters were checking on you and making sure that you had everything you needed. Considering that it is hard to find places like these I would say that this is one of the best restaurants that I have been to in a very long time. Completely willing to go back, especially for belly dancing nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Nothing to really complain about other than having a coffee before bed ;P. If you are really into exotic food and a change of culture this is the place to be. (even if you can't read the menu, everyone is willing to help!"

"I should clarify now that I'm actually a vegetarian. We were visiting for a family birthday, everyone else are meat eaters, so they've very much informed this review. The premise is you pay a fixed price, you can order as many sides as you want and then the servers bring the meat on gabbing skewers and carve at the table, you take as much or as little as you want all in the price. There is a lot of meat on offer, pork, chicken, steak...the list goes on. Apparently all well cooked and flavoured. Side dishes range from salads, cheesy dough balls, fries, bean stews. Lots of good veggie stuff, the only problem was the veggie meal is and should include a lasagne, but they didn't have any! Didn't go hungry, but not really the point. Kids menu is good value, for kids up to no matter how much they eat!"

Last weekend was our introduction to your wonderful restaurant at Putney, courtesy of our son 's Brazilian partner, and I have to say I have never been so astounded by the natural ambience of all the staff to provide the most amazing dining experience we have ever encountered. Michelin 'starred ' restaurants/Chefs can certainly provide some interesting food but as yet I have not discovered one that has the genuine affection to all customers the moment one walks through the door until you leave and even then still insist in ensuring the visit and experience has been as memorable as it could be, and yes we have dined at some famously named restaurants. Last night was my second experience and I would not have considered it possible to improve on the first but you guys did it. To be greeted by name and dined and entertained as we were is a unique gift you must culture forever and your restaurant 's will always be full, Well done and thank you again to ALL the staff. Just a comment to the couple of people that were 'disappointed with Putney ' then I would also state you must be reviewing the wrong restaurant!"

"Me and my friends are huge fans of Preto in general. We travelled to the Queensway restaurant as our local branch was recently closed. As much as we love the food, the service and overall experience at Queensway was awful. We had missing side orders, waited an awfully long time for our plates, it was impossible to speak to a waiter as no one ever came over to us, even after finishing our meal, nobody came to clear our plates so we could enjoy a few more drinks (we then decided against the drinks as we felt we were being ignored) we were then told we had to pay the 12.5% service charge even though we had 0 amount of positive service. We won’t be visiting Queensway preto again, we will have to find another branch to dine at next time."

"As a wheelchair user I get very nervous about going to new places, accessibility was great and I was made to feel welcomed within the first 5 seconds of being there. All staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, it feels very authentic. Atmosphere was great and I cannot stress enough how amazing the food is! Every single one of the meats are cooked to such a high standard and there's a great choice of sides and drinks. We sat by the bar and every cocktail that was made was made with real effort and care. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back."

"I was recommended to go to Preto because my teenagers would love it. The menu is very simple, everything is included in the grill, and we were offered delicious sides and desserts (although a bit rich for my taste). We used a voucher code which made the meal very reasonable, but I was not made aware (and didn't notice) the discretionary 12.5% added to the bill. I appreciate the hard work of the staff, who make the restaurant welcoming. The space was largely empty and not very cozy, but it seemed a bit unfair not to have been informed about the discretionary charge. Other restaurants usually add the charge at the point of paying for the food, with your consent. This left a negative impression after what was otherwise a very tasty meal."

"We booked and attended during COVID times so please bear that in mind when reading. The wifi didn 't work and there was nothing to say that they knew of the problem, so spent ages (add did many others because mobile reception is poor in the area) trying to log in to order food and check in with the COVID app before asking and finding it would just say 'connecting please wait '. We ordered and then waited 90 minutes for the food. Shortly after ordering a burger we were told that they had run out of all burgers. A short time later another table had the same response but then were told that they had one left. The food was OK but certainly not up to the prices quoted. The soup was luke warm and in desperate need of seasoning. Mac and cheese tasted like it had come from a tin. It possibly hadn 't but that was the impression. The pork curry tasted like pork in blitzed tinned tomatoes with some onion and pepper to give some spice. Again, needed seasoning. Just nothing special. They did provide (unrequested) some free bread and dipping oils whilst we were waiting. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The Deverill beer, a local ale was excellent and tasted well conditioned. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The pub was scrupulously clean with good COVID compliance. We would go back to give them a second chance these are difficult times especially for the hospitality trade."

"We booked a table for my birthday dinner and we received the worst service ever. Supposedly, they had more variety of meat in the evening that’s why we wanted to go for dinner rather than lunch, but we ended up only getting the same type of meat (mostly beef) and didn’t even get to try more than half of what was on the list! The servers didn’t bother checking on us apart from George who kindly asked if we had any requests as he was the only person who was aware that we weren’t getting enough food. We wanted to order more sides due to not having enough meat, but again, no one would even bother to come to our table. Whenever we raised our hands to get their attention, they would avoid eye contact and pretend they didn’t see us. We tried to express our concerns to the lady who initially served us but she didn’t offer anything to compensate her face showed that she was annoyed and aggressively asked us what we actually wanted. We ended up not having any more appetite and just requested for the bill so we could leave. “EAT FREE ON YOUR BIRTHDAY” I showed them my birthday voucher on arrival and we were a group of 5, but they still charged me on the bill. I had to complain for that as well! If we were bad people, we would’ve just run off and left without paying the bill. Overall, we didn’t enjoy our experience at Casa Brasil Bristol at all. At first, I was very excited to get my family to try it but it ended up to be a very disappoiting evening."

"I know this was a harsh score, given the pasta was fresh and really tasty (couldn’t fault it in fact) but the price was mental. I had half what you’d get in a Coco large, and paid more. The garlic bread was disappointing too hard as rock, no seasoning and didn’t taste of garlic. I want to support small businesses, but can’t afford to pay £7.10 for that kind of portion size!"
