"SUPERB !! BRILLIANT FOOD , SERVICE AND AMBEINCE !!Visited this place twice and completely loves this place from all aspects . Ambience Unique Indian Ambience . Bamboo furniture. Lovely tables and bar. Small but very cosy and homely. Staff will quickly come and greet you. Food The menu is the most unique in the world I think. Masala pan soda think is my favourite, Bombay thali , South Indian thali , chicken chettinad are amazing of the many other items in the menu. Not a huge list of dreadful never heard in india items like many other pseudo Indian restaurants have , they have a finely selected dishes to please your appetite. Got chance to speak to the chef and owner and both are lovely. Over all a GREAT Experience. Highly recommended!!"

"chak 89 is a very popular restaurant under the Indian community in south london while you go up the stairs to the restaurant, you can see the wall of the rest. the walls are covered with photos of celebrities from bollywood, hollywood, sports and music fields. the collection is very impressive. they could add a teller with the prominent names for some whose signatures are not very clear and whose names are at the top of the string, but cannot be remembered for the banquet and catering there are many broochures. they are available on all etagens the restaurant is richly spread and impressive with many chandeliers, sofa seating...read more"

"It is easy when reviewing to press the 2 or 4 button and try to hold back. When you visit the Orchid, your finger will veer towards the 5 button and stay there. Having been to Tamarind and Benares, the food would not be out of place at these establishments. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the owner is both charming and as proud as any father should be. Try the Jaipur lamb, it's to die for. (Also reviewed on Trip Advisor)"

"We have been returning to Dhabba for years and have never been disappointed. Most recently, we celebrated a family birthday there, and some members were visiting for the first time. As anticipated, everything we ordered was delicious and the service was excellent. We all had a great time together, enjoying our meals and drinks."

"We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly, and they even accommodated special requests that weren't on the menu. The food was fresh and delicious, surpassing the standard of most Indian restaurants. I wholeheartedly recommend it!"

"Had a lovely family meal one Friday evening. It was a special occasion so we all had the tasting menu each dish was varied and refined you need plenty of time as there 8 courses it takes about 3 hours to work through! I met Mr and Mrs Todiwalla who were very friendly and made us very welcome. As it was a hot night, we sat outside with a nice view of the docklands flats reflecting their lights into the mirror like water. It was only a short distance from the City airport runway which may not appeal to some but my son loves planes so he was in his element."

"We originally travelled to Swansea for a gig but was cancelled, so we booked the Rasoi as a last minute thing, I hadn't heard of it before, but was really pleased we did. The minute we walked in we were welcomed by the staff and they were very friendly. The atmosphere and restaurant was great, the Christmas tree was up and looked very festive. The food was amazing. I can't fault this place. We will definitely be back Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Appalling service. Ordered drinks which came after starters further drinks order didn’t get from the bar to the table! We could actually see the 2 beers waiting!!! The manic little manager or maybe owner served our starters across the table and glass of wine was thrown all over me and I mean I was soaked through. Cream blouse went pink and my pleated skirt soaked right to the back. Thank god it wasn’t red wine. We where not charged for the wine, but to me that wasn’t the point my evening out was ruined. I found £2.50 for 2 poppadoms highly overpriced! Most places will give you complimentary. Never had any lamb starters so 2 out of 3 of us had to re choose. Service was ridiculously slow. 3 starters 3 curry’s 2 rice Poppadoms 1 naan 2 beers Almost 80 quid! It was then I noticed on the bill a service charged of almost £8 I went up to the manager and said we won’t be paying as I was swilled with wine and frankly he could reduce the bill. We got a 25% discount Was asked to please try us again as training new staff, the place was hardly full they just couldn’t cope, it was like faulty towers! Shame as setting in lovely and curries where delicious but at the end of the day on the rare occasion we eat out in a restaurant I want a nice relaxed smooth service. This was like a comedy sketch but I was the joke!"

"Our visit to Spice Zone was a very pleasant surprise. Whilst the venue itself is very much a 'high street' Indian with basic decor and furnishings, the quality of the food was excellent with a lovely choice of both North Indian and South Indian dishes. Surinder was an excellent host and we enjoyed chatting with him during our our visit. We will definitely return"
"We stayed nearby so the location was perfect! To be truthful.. we were looking to go into another restaurant but I am so glad we made this mistake. Easter monday; expected it to be busy but staff were attentive when required. The atmosphere was We had a Gosht Sagwala and a Daal Makhani, and out of the 2 The Daal was absolutely beautiful! Do try the chapatis too : Thankyou for having us Gateway to India"

"Extremely disappointed in the quality and quantity of food. The portion size of the starters were extremely small, not like any other Indian restaurant we have been to. It was supposed to be a birthday treat but turned into a nightmare! The service was ridiculously slow, they clearly prioritise their takeaway orders..... The vegetarian option was so bland it was tasteless, when we pointed this out we were told that their clientele like mild flavours....there was no flavour! I had ordered a cucumber salad and was shocked when it was served in a tea light holder size dish.....I thought they were bringing me a chutney!! I can't think of anything positive other than the one of the meat dishes was ok but again as a main it was filled to about a quarter of the tiffin box. Other tables had rice which was filled to the top of the tiffin... First time I have ever said this avoid this restaurant."

"Really great experience!! The staff is lovely and really kind and patient, the food is delicious and there are plenty of options on the menu, also a lot of them vegetarian. The food itself is more than enough and tastes so good. Loved this restaurant, would definitely go back if given the opportunity!"

"a group of 6 of us went there on a Monday evening as there were good reviews. it is located in a next street, and the first impression was the datierte decoration. they have an extensive menu and many items are listed as vegan or can be made vegan. we had the opportunity to get in the ground floor near the beginning (which was above warm) or down (which was very cold, as there was no heating) so we chose the ground floor. the restaurant was pretty busy. they serve alcohol. on the menu is located cobra beer 1/2 pint, 1 pint and from the bottle. buy the bottle as there is much cheaper than the design beer. note that on the menu there are poppadums on two places mentioned. £1 for 1. or pay them £3,50 for two if they want something chutney with. they bring them the more expensive if they do not specify. I had punjabi samosas for the starter. they were in order, but I had better elsewhere. one of our groupings the bhel armi, but it did not happen until all others had finished their ancestors, but he said it tasted very beautiful. for the net I had the tofu massaman curry. in the round it consisted of large plates of tofu with some kartoffels in a green sauce. unfortunately my curry lukewarm was when it arrived, but it tasted ok. It was very mild and suitable for my palate. I had to order a part rice separately, and the part rice was bigger than I actually needed. my partner ordered the vegan thiali £17. we told the waiter that we were vegan when we ordered and the vegan thiali is mentioned specifically on the menu. when it arrived, it seemed to have milkrita as well as a non-vegan dessert. we asked the waiter if it was vegan and he said yes, then he reconstructed and took the dessert away to be replaced. he did not seem to be aware that the rita was not vegan. I checked with another employee who said that the rita they brought was not vegan and they would also replace it. another employee said they would replace the rita with a vegan version they did. it seemed just a waiter for most of the time to be, and he seemed to watch his time with headphones in and on his phone! overall eating was ok, the service was not so great. there are many Indian vegetarian restaurants in london and some with beautiful decoration and better eating."

"We were greeted by a mild member of staff and shown our table, noticing the restaurant had an aging, worn, tired feel to it, regardless of the Valentine decorations. The service felt a bit disorderly, although the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The starters were lovely, very tasty, however the mains and sides were less impressive, as was the chutney choice that went with pappadums. Unfortunately and sadly, with the amount of good/excellent eatery choices in Liverpool, I would not recommend or return to Mayur, unless they modernised their menu, ambience and quality of food for the price you pay."

"Fantastic discovery in Tours. The restaurant is hidden away from the busy streets, but the food is exceptional and they excel at pairing wines."
