"I went to this restaurant for a Mother's Day meal. The service was excellent, with Bharat and the chefs willing to accommodate a special request. However, I had to request to speak to the chef initially, as the waitress was not very accommodating. The food was just okay. Considering the average price of £8 per dish, I expected exceptional quality. Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations with small portions, lack of spice, and some dishes were tasteless, like the Dum Aloo and baby sweetcorn starter. I do not plan on returning as there are many other Indian restaurants that are more authentic, better value for money, and taste much better."

"I called and ordered steamed lamb MoMo from this restaurant. I was disappointed to find out that they only accept cash, which is inconvenient in today's day and age. The MoMo was average, but the sauce was overly sweet, reminiscent of the sweet sauce you typically get with Peshawari naan. It didn't taste authentic Nepalese, more like something you would find at an Indian restaurant. The service was mediocre and the atmosphere was just okay. Overall, it was an okay experience for a takeout dinner, with prices ranging from £1-£10 per person. Food: 3/5, Service: 2/5, Atmosphere: 2/5."

"The portion sizes are quite decent and offer good value for the price. I did find the naan a bit small, but that’s a minor detail. I would love to see a Tandoori option on the menu, though I understand that local preferences might not lean towards Tandoori dishes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, giving me a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of India. The music is soothing and enhances the dining experience without being intrusive. The service staff is friendly and very polite, contributing to a wonderful experience during Diwali night. Thank you!"

"Anorexic Salad but nice 100 Degree Special Chicken. Went after work on an early Tuesday evening for a takeaway. I ordered Chili Mogo and 100 degrees chicken. The mogo was £7 and the special 100 Degree Chicken £9. Both which I thought wa a little bit more expensive than comparable eateries in Harrow. I asked for Raita and Salad, to which I was told that I had to pay. I explained that other places provided it free. I then said I would walk away and go elsewhere when they offered to provided it free of charge. Went home and opened the Raiita container which was generous and the salad which was not so (see photo). However felt the Chilli Mogo was light on taste however the chicken was more than reasonable."

"I 've never found a restaurant in London to serve Indian food that is entirely authentic, but Hazara certainly close if not the closest. Expect to pay quite a bit more for it than your bog standard Indian restaurant. Allow me to elaborate. Whilst in India I visited a roadside cafe or dhaba, on the Gurgaon Sohna road and the food was great. Chicken was roasted over the old converted oil-drum oven, to save energy in cooking, and it gave a delicious toasty flavour. This chicken was served in a rich and very spicy hot sauce, made from fresh local ingredients, where flavours tipped over one-another. My friend and I asked the chef how he made it. He replied how I usually make it . My...read more"

"My partner and I visited here on a date night tonight. Situated within the Great Western Hotel by St David's train station. I have eaten in many Indian restaurants over the years, in both Exeter and the West Midlands where I am originally from. Being a Chef myself, I love to make my own curries both at home and as specials in the place I work. Because of this, I can be hard to please when it comes to dining out for a curry. Sadly, a lot of places in Exeter don't live up to what I had hoped for, compared to so many of the amazing Indian restaurants in the Midlands, but Karma is not only an exception, but an absolute gem! Fantastic service and the flavours, spices and aromas from the food are simply divine! I had the Lamb Karahi Gosht with Mushroom Rice, my partner had the Chicken Dhansak with Garlic Rice and we shared Garlic and Coriander Naan breads. Sometimes I have had Lamb curries where the Lamb has either been undercooked and chewy or overcooked and dry. I am pleased to say the Lamb here is cooked to perfection! My partner said her Chicken was also cooked perfectly. Both dishes were labelled as medium and were just that. As a fan of Indian food for many years, I have to say if you are in Exeter (I'm lucky, I live here) and you are looking for top notch Indian cuisine then you need to visit this place. Wonderful service, excellent food and very reasonably priced compared to other places closer to the city centre. Well worth a visit and we will be returning again soon!"

"I chose this restaurant because of its good reputation, but I was disappointed with the food. My Bombay aloo lacked salt and the cheese naan was not very cheesy. The restaurant is divided into two sections: a restaurant and a pub. However, it feels more like a pub, as you have to walk through the pub to reach the bathroom, which can be uncomfortable. Additionally, the TV was muted with Indian music videos playing, but it would have been better to have the sound on for a more authentic Indian dining experience. Despite these shortcomings, the cocktails were delicious, especially the Passion Fruit Martini. The waiter was attentive and even offered more bread during our meal. One highlight was the option to take home leftovers, which was convenient for lunch the next day."

"This restaurant was a terrible experience. Despite being recommended by a few people, as regular Indian food eaters, we can say it was the worst we've ever had. The owner was rude and made his young staff deal with customer complaints. It was concerning to see no Asian or Indian employees present and hear arguments from the kitchen. We felt sorry for the staff, who seemed scared of the owner, Darius. When we tried to address the issues, he threatened to call the police. It's a shame to see the customer always being right mentality lost. We hope that the staff find better opportunities at other restaurants in Bath where they won't be bullied or intimidated."

"I went here with a friend for an evening meal. We were there for 7pm and it was very quiet, only about 5 other customers, so had extremely quick service. I had to ask which items on the menu were vegan, and the waitor was very helpful. Turns out almost everything is vegan, or can be made vegan, so there was plenty of choice. We started with poppadoms and pickles (only the raita isn't vegan), and the food came so quickly, we hadn't even finished these! For mains, we shared a dosa (large with good flavour) and a vegetable curry (it was top of the menu, but can't remember the name!)which was nicely spiced, although mostly carrot rather than the advertised exotic' veg! There were a lot of waitors around, so the service was really good. They were continually topping up our water and were quick to bring the desserts menu and bill. A really nice little restaurant, with a convenient location in London, plenty of choice and good value for money. I'll definitely be returning to try some more items on the menu!"

"Pakhtoon was an accidental discovery. We were not planning to eat here. Just on our way home after an exhaustive shopping at Oxford Street, we found out this decent looking Indian Restaurant and took and impromptu decision to have our dinner there. My overall experience is great. Ambiance :: Awesome Food Taste :: Very nice. Almost felt like eating at a restaurant in India. Cost :: A bit on the higher side. Drinks :: I do not think, I saw any drink option there. Not sure. Hospitality :: Very nice We ordered Biriyani over there as we do not want to take chance in a new restaurant. But the biriyani was so good, we tempted to order some kebabs and some desert. Kebabs I would say good, not...read more"

"Upon arriving at Gurkha Village, one might initially feel uneasy. Located in a converted pub in a run-down area, the restaurant's appearance is not very inviting. Despite booking a table for Sunday lunch, we were the only patrons there during our meal. The staff, although attentive, seemed to have no other customers to attend to. The decor and menu lacked any distinct Nepalese influences, which was disappointing as that was the reason we chose to dine there. It seemed like just another Asian restaurant in the Medway area, where competition is fierce. As for the food, it was decent. The lamb pasanda had a nice smoky flavor that was not overwhelming. It was a refreshing change from the usual curry house options. I tried the chicken dhansak, which also had a unique fruity taste. The dining area and bathrooms were clean, and I can see Gurkha Village becoming a popular takeout option for locals in the future."

"new owner fantastic eating. After having been a big fan of tamasha for many years, when I took it at madhuwan felt, I had to try. although not located in the best part of bromley, this is a must visit restaurant. the sauces for all our foods were freshly cooked and although this means a somewhat longer delay, it is worth waiting. all the ingredients seemed really fresh and the Squid star was fantastic! the prices are very reasonable and an absolute steal for the quality of food, especially in comparison to the trips in tamasha ."

"We came with foodie friends for dinner on a Saturday evening this was a birthday surprise had no idea where we were going but was delighted with the choice. Warmly welcomed on arrival and seated with a view over the water. The menu was fabulous Indian 'tapas ' sharing plates and/or more substantial main courses. If that was not enough a mouth watering selection of specials. Very original dishes. With guidance and suggestions from the friendly and informative staff, we worked our way through course after course; revisiting some of our favourites. The food was simply excellent. Wonderfully replete, they kindly brought out a home made birthday cake. An excellent evening, great food and one of the best Indian restaurants Ive eaten in.....and certainly the most creative. Highly recommended."

"we had a nice meal in namaste last weekend and would highly recommend it. the employees have gone significantly too much work to make the place safe, the restaurant was extremely clean, we had checked our temperature at the arrival, completed track and trace on our phones, and the personal wore masks. eating was amazing, really fresh and authentic. there were many options for vegetarians, and the people in our group who told meat that this was also great. it was a quiet Sunday afternoon when we visited, but the service was great and the staff was very friendly and attentive. we will definitely come back!"

"It is easy when reviewing to press the 2 or 4 button and try to hold back. When you visit the Orchid, your finger will veer towards the 5 button and stay there. Having been to Tamarind and Benares, the food would not be out of place at these establishments. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the owner is both charming and as proud as any father should be. Try the Jaipur lamb, it's to die for. (Also reviewed on Trip Advisor)"

"we had a great time. the service was very nice with us. we tried two different curries and they were very tasty, not too oily, well presented and full of aromas. the cocktails are also very well made. we can recommend this place to everyone."
