"Upon arriving at Gurkha Village, one might initially feel uneasy. Located in a converted pub in a run-down area, the restaurant's appearance is not very inviting. Despite booking a table for Sunday lunch, we were the only patrons there during our meal. The staff, although attentive, seemed to have no other customers to attend to. The decor and menu lacked any distinct Nepalese influences, which was disappointing as that was the reason we chose to dine there. It seemed like just another Asian restaurant in the Medway area, where competition is fierce. As for the food, it was decent. The lamb pasanda had a nice smoky flavor that was not overwhelming. It was a refreshing change from the usual curry house options. I tried the chicken dhansak, which also had a unique fruity taste. The dining area and bathrooms were clean, and I can see Gurkha Village becoming a popular takeout option for locals in the future."

Hands down some of the best Indian style food I've ever had, including San Francisco. The portions are large but quality. And they always deliver on time.

Ghurka Village is our go-to Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. The service is always welcoming, and the food is consistently excellent, especially the Ghurka/Nepalese specialty dishes. We have visited many times and will definitely be returning in the future.

Eating A1, service a little tense as short staff, over all would have made 5 stars if the poor man tried to man restaurant bar solo had some help. have already been recommended and will be back, probably the most tasty food I had from this type for a long time, full of taste. keep good work

Gurkha Village is a fabulous restaurant when it is open. Open Table used to reserve a table for Father's Day and to receive a reservation confirmation. In the restaurant that was looking forward to a nice meal to find it surrounded by Heras Fencing, as it was severely damaged by fire and closed. Even the parking spaces were fenced. The locals said this happened months ago. I am looking for a website to review Open Table they have every idea how difficult it is to find a last minute decent meal on Father's Day. The day it turned out to be a mega fighter. Thanks for nothing Open Table.

The dining area at Gurkha Village was immaculately clean and decorated with fresh flowers on each table. The crisp, white table linen was replaced after every diner, adding to the pleasant ambiance. Comfortable, well-kept furniture enhanced the overall culinary experience. The friendly staff ensured that guests were well taken care of. While the food was delicious, we were expecting a more unique flavor profile based on the restaurant's name. We opted for the exotic-sounding meals on the menu, which were beautifully presented but were not significantly different from dishes found in many other Indian restaurants. Nonetheless, we encourage giving Gurkha Village a try - after all, this is just...
