"Very surprised to read some of the reviews from visitors at TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge as we have always had excellent service and the food is some of the best Indian dishes we have had.We were seated inside the TigerBay Shisha Lounge however as this has open sides all round and even an open roof in warmer days or nights, we felt completely safe and COVID protected. The evening was very busy but had a great atmosphere and we didn’t feel cramped or as if we were too near to other customers. The music especially with the appearance of DJ Shraii gives something a little bit extra special than other venues.All members of staff wore face masks and we noticed they politely reminded any customers to use their masks when not seated at their tables.The food is always hot and you can hear the sizzle plates sizzling as the food is served. Portions are really generous and we usually find it hard choosing from all the delicious dishes on offer.The mocktails are especially good and the fruity versions topped with fresh and sweet fruit. We have not tried the Shisha varieties however talking to people we met last week, they said the choices are good and flavours excellent quality. So even without Shisha being available at the moment under Covid rules, TigerBay Shisha Lounge is a great venue.We are looking forward to spending many more summer evenings especially in the garden area which is beautifully filled with gorgeous plants and makes you feel you are on holiday and not just on an evening out.Keep doing what you do so well TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge."

"The food at this restaurant is made fresh to order. The Dal could use a bit more salt, but it was still good when paired with rice. The standout aspect of this place is the excellent service. The host even went above and beyond to create a new mocktail for a colleague who did not like the Virgin Colada. The food may take a bit longer to be served since it is made to order, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and fresh, made-to-order food."

"I love this restaurant. Small and friendly, with a great menu that takes in all the classics and features some superb Bangladeshi specialities. Ask for Shakora fish it's the best I have tasted. It's also good value. I had poppadoms, a curry main with pilau rice, tarka dahl and two glasses of very decent wine for just over £30. Highly recommended. For Brighton, that's a real bargain."

"We visited here with friends. We had not been here for a while . Since then there has been a complete refurbishment. This is to a very high standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was beautiful and there was plenty of it. We only had Poppadams as a start which we were we were glad of as the main meal was more than sufficient. We all said that the price was good also working out at about £80 per couple which included a few drinks each. We definitely have plans to come back again."

"I had a great time at Masala Gallery. The Long Island Spiced Tea Cocktail was impressive and the food was excellent. The butter naan was some of the best I've ever had - light and fluffy. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The large TV channels added to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely visit again. The only downside was limited parking spaces."

"Ordered food at 17:45. At 21:25 I am still waiting. They were late with the delivery and then on opening the food they delivered the wrong food. They assured me they'd send the wrong food and in the following hour and a half they said it was out for delivery twice. They are only 5 minutes drive from my house. 5 phonecalls and well over 3.5 hours later, nothing!! I used to love this place but I won't ever order from here again. Below is not a donner which would have been fine if it was one item wrong but it was the whole families "

"The first time I ordered from Kismet, the vindaloo was amazing, the prawn biryani was excellent. I was a little disappointed that I ordered chili naan and received plain instead, and I ordered 4 pickles (wobble lime, red sauce, mango) but only got 2 (mint lime and wobble). "As it was my birthday me and a friend thought it would be a nice treat to get a takeaway after work. We placed our order over the phone and requested to collect it so that we could receive the 10% off the bill which I saw advertised online. We also asked out of interest if they would offer anything complimentary as it was my birthday. The person on the phone asked what I liked to drink to which I replied Prosecco, he then began to laugh which made me think that that was too much to ask for and he would've expected me to just ask for a beer or glass of wine. It wasn't until we were about to leave the restaurant after paying and collecting our order that the man lifts up a bottle of champagne and gives it to us for free! This was a wonderful surprise that went beyond expectations and made us leave with smiles on our faces. The food was very tasty and filling also and overall it was a great end to my birthday. We will most definitely be back!"
