"We were in UK last summer and were visiting Edinburgh. I made a mistake and did not do any research of the area for any Indian Restaurants in case of any exigency. The exigency arrived in a way that, my four year would not want to eat anything but Indian food. Seeing him so edgy and cranky we just dashed into the nearest available place and believe me it was a nightmare. The food was bad and service was worst. The basic courtesy was missing and it seemed that they wanted us to leave as early as possible. The vegetables were ok but Dal Tadka was smelly. The Tandoori Rotis were half burnt and when we asked for replacement what we got was half baked. Somehow we coaxed our little one to have...read more"

Simply amazing. I think it's one of the best Indian in the UK that I had.

I enjoyed the food in Zest very much. For Β£7.95, this was a well-executed and filling lunch

the sabzi samosas were amazing. they came four to a job and I could eat a whole basket as a meal. I also had chicken tikka massalam as my head, it.

great place does not look much from the outside, but beautiful inside; friendly staff, which was very helpful and well known over allergenic and gluten-free eating (smoky bonus). eating was great, everyone in our group agreed to, they would like to return limited veg options.

we visited this restaurant withte the week while in the city in business. it started very quiet and they sat us in the window, but within an hour the place was almost full and dizzy. eating was a very good standard and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this restaurant when in the city.

I wish I could give this place a 0. the waiter out there is so cold. he couldn't even talk right. we left the place without eating and at the end the waiter advised us to go to the close of mc donald to eat! that was so disgusting that it can't come to words. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there. in the action the people would discourage to go to this place! not worth the offense! View menu

we loved this place and their warm personal eating was too good. very spicy and just as we like to house what for an unforgettable evening it was though we had little hungry, so we ordered bhindi fry and matar wiper with two naans and cooked rice only but in edinburgh so far away from india, they get such soft n crispy naans with fantastic sweetness and fantastic again what they wish to return in life we are very happy

Decor was so-so, staff very nice, but the food was terrible. I didn't think Indian food could achieve this level of blandness I don't mean lack of fieriness, I mean lack of any interesting seasoning whatsoever. The chicken tikka massalam tasted like boiled chicken in unseasoned tomato sauce, and the frozen spinach with small fragments of paneer complemented it nicely. Papadums were undercooked in stale oil. I could go on.
