"This restaurant is amazing, beautiful food, good drink selection stellar service, the only thing that let our visit down was charging so much for poppadoms we didn't order! We were provided with 6 poppadoms upon arrival, then charged £6.30 for them, I don't mind paying for them at all, but I think that amount for items we didn't order is excessive. Apart from that I cannot fault the restaurant- staff are so friendly and welcoming the food is great and the setting is beautiful, I would definitely reccomend to anyone, but make them aware of the poppadoms!!"

"We were in UK last summer and were visiting Edinburgh. I made a mistake and did not do any research of the area for any Indian Restaurants in case of any exigency. The exigency arrived in a way that, my four year would not want to eat anything but Indian food. Seeing him so edgy and cranky we just dashed into the nearest available place and believe me it was a nightmare. The food was bad and service was worst. "I had booked a table for lunch on a Saturday, but unfortunately my partner fell ill and could not join me. The restaurant was empty and I was the only guest for over 40-50 minutes, so there was not much ambiance. However, the tables were set beautifully and there was plenty of space. The menu was a bit different from other Indian restaurants, which I appreciated. The food was excellent - delicious, well-cooked, and very satisfying. My starter, the Murg Trio (chicken cooked in 3 different ways), was particularly tasty. For my main course, I had the prawn coconut curry with coconut rice, which was also delicious. The tiger prawn tails were still on, making it a bit tricky to eat, but they were so flavorful. I also tried the Garama Masala brûlée for dessert, which was a nice way to end the meal. With poppadoms, coffee, and a couple of glasses of wine, the bill came to £45, which I thought was great value for such a fantastic meal. I will definitely be coming back here again!"

Thank you, the owners changed from earlier. so much better now. they have taken care of me and my mother, who we don't like wobble and garlic. so that they took care of us. the food was so delicious. it was lush. "We live nearby and usually avoid restaurants that serve meat, so we were hesitant to try this one for a long time, even though it seemed quite accommodating for vegans. However, we finally decided to give it a chance last week, and we had a surprisingly wonderful experience. "Waited 45 minutes for our starters (which was cold salty) to arrive and hadn't received our drinks until we decided to leave because of the poor service. The management did not care for any of the customers who were not in a pods and refrained from dealing with our complaints until we approached them. Clearly the restaurant can not manage serving their customers at the capacity of pods as well as the restaurant. I recommend focusing their efforts on the pods as it seems to be the only customers they can manage. I blame the management rather than the waiting staff as it was nothing they could do but deal with the amount of customers."

"I have to start by saying how the staff are always smiling. They 're friendly and have some great recommendations. Moving onto the food, we ordered the chaat platter, chilli paneer and prawns from the tandoor clay oven. I was disappointed by the paani Puri it lacked the tang and explosion of taste you expect, instead it had a very bland and lacked flavour. However the rest of the items on the platter were absolutely fabulous!! Fresh, crunchy, tangy, tasty, flavourful. Everything you expect from a chaat platter. I could have ordered another 2 (without the paani Puri) The chilli paneer was one of the best I 've had! The tandoor clay oven prawns were perfectly cooked and had the right amount of 'tandoor ' taste however the marinate flavour was lacking. Mains veg Kolhapuri.... Oh my gosh!!!! No words can describe how amazing this was and how is it was possible to make veg taste like it did!!! It was absolutely divine!!! We ate it with garlic naan, that too was fab.. it was rolled to the right thinness and had the absolute perfect amount of garlic and butter!! An absolute treat. I should mention as we ate others sat around us on other tables just couldn 't stop complementing the foods they had ordered! So I 'm definitely going back to taste the other items! Desserts gulab jamun and pistachio kulfi ... At first glance the gulab jaman looked lost in the bowl it was presented in, the syrup was way too thin and the 2 balls were too small. However, the taste.... I don 't think I 've had better. Some improvement required in the presentation and with the syrup .. but the taste 5 5 .. amazing! The pistachio kulfi I expect frozen... But ... We couldn 't dig in... Waited almost 25 30mins for it to soften ... Once it did once again the taste was everything you expect... Another 5 5. However does require some thinking to ensure the customer doesn 't leave with a brain freeze instead of the flavoursome taste. We enjoyed multiple drinks including mango lassi, lemonade and mint tea all of which were fab.. even the mango lassi was the perfect consistency however it comes with ice which when melted affects the taste of the lassi (server should ask if the customer would like or not I wasn 't given an option) I 'm going back!! And I definitely recommend!!"

We asked for desert and a coffee they didn’t have the desert we wanted and the coffee machine was out of order. I also asked for irn bru and they didn’t have that either. They dont take booking so the trick is to come minimum 20-25 mins early to get the table.They serve dates to break the fast. We called for few veg and non veg items I will give rating below. We were so hungry totally forgot to take photos Seekh kebab 3/5 Haleem 3.5/5 Matar Paneer 2.5/5 Paneer tikka 1/5 chicken karahi 3.5/5 Kulfi rabdri falooda 3/5 there was no rabdri and kulfi was ok in taste Not sure if the chefs were under pressure to make food at iftar time for so many tables. We found chkn Karahi bit oily. Over all the food was good. We will try once more once ramzan is over and if there is difference."

"I placed an order at7. 49 and the order was confirmed at 7.59 PM from just eat with expected delivery at 8:40PM. Called banana leaf at 8:50 PM and owner is busy explaining he only had 2 drivers. The food was not delived at 9:12 as I am reviewing and the owner calls back to say the driver was waiting for someone. He kindly asked me not to order when I reminded him the delay. First have more drivers and don't give silly reasons. Waiting for food in banana leaf is resurrection. Your services are terrible! "Really sad to find that Vujon is closing. This has been a firm favourite if ours for some time and we have enjoyed many a good meal here. We didn't know when we booked for New Year's Eve 2019 that it would the last night they were open. We realised straight away that things weren't as normal the wall lights were not working so it was very dim, there was no wallpaper on the walls, the carpet had been replaced with a wood floor so it was noisey when anyone walked across the floor and the heating was none existent. Thankfully most of the food was good as usual. It's closing for a three month refurbishment so let's see if the new place lasts for the 30+ years that Vujon was there."

"The restaurant was dirty, both the inside and the dishes used. The food was way too spicy (and I like spicy food). When we spoke to the waiter to tell him this he said we should have asked for less spicy (they should have given us this choice when ordering). A normal curry or dansak is normally spicy but not to this level (Phall level). The waiters were keen, but a bit too clean, when he was taking our dishes away he done this so quickly that some leftover food landed on my trousers. I would recommend that the restaurant is cleaned properly, dishes cleaned properly, ask people what level of spice they would like"
