"I had booked a table for lunch on a Saturday, but unfortunately my partner fell ill and could not join me. The restaurant was empty and I was the only guest for over 40-50 minutes, so there was not much ambiance. However, the tables were set beautifully and there was plenty of space. The menu was a bit different from other Indian restaurants, which I appreciated. The food was excellent - delicious, well-cooked, and very satisfying. My starter, the Murg Trio (chicken cooked in 3 different ways), was particularly tasty. For my main course, I had the prawn coconut curry with coconut rice, which was also delicious. The tiger prawn tails were still on, making it a bit tricky to eat, but they were so flavorful. I also tried the Garama Masala brûlée for dessert, which was a nice way to end the meal. With poppadoms, coffee, and a couple of glasses of wine, the bill came to £45, which I thought was great value for such a fantastic meal. I will definitely be coming back here again!"

delicious meal I had the sea bass that was cooked beautifully, my man had a huh corma that was super creamy and the meat was beautiful and tender. genuinely clean, beautifully spaced tables for covid purposes and a large wine selection! would definitely recommend.

the second time I have eaten here in the last six months. eating is not what they get from a typical Indian restaurant (although this is available if they want). both my friend and I love the choice and quality of eating. service is excellent, friendly and efficient. if I want to eat somewhere in the central cardiff, this is my first option. can not recommend very enough. The food at this restaurant is top-notch, not oily, and the naan breads are just the right size. The ambiance is nice, and the service is outstanding, especially during sporting events. The wine glasses are elegant, and they offer a good variety of wines. However, the menu is somewhat limited with only a few main dishes to choose from, and the bathrooms were not clean and had flushing issues. This is an area that definitely needs improvement as it detracted from an otherwise pleasant dining experience.

We visited the Spice Quarter on November 5th, during a busy match day. Despite anticipating the crowd, we were disappointed by the food quality. We opted for the Celebration Menu, which included all starters and one main dish with rice and naan for £31.99 - a price that did not match the underwhelming dishes we received. Our four starters were cold and unappetizing, while the main courses (Translucent King Prawn Jalfrezi and Chicken Tikka Masala) had nearly identical sauces, with the Jalfrezi containing added chilli powder and raw vegetables. Furthermore, we were surprised to find that desserts required an additional cost and took a long time to be served. Overall, the experience was a waste...

"It was the most bizarre experience dining here. First when we arrived in the restaurant, our group set up was that there was someone on each end who was sitting facing an empty chair on the other side of the table. Upon enquiry we understood it was a covid measure, however never had any other restaurants requesting such seating arrangements in the past 20 months. We ordered two split pots, a non-spicy broth for one side of the pot and a spicy broth for the other side. The staff came to confirm that we wanted spicy/non-spicy in each pot. Yes, we said. To our shock when the pots came, one pot was spicy/spicy on both side, and the other was non-spicy/non-spicy on both sides. This was after the staff had came by to confirm that we wanted a spicy/non-spicy set-up, and in the usual situation a person wanting a spicy broth would not have asked for a split pot. We raised this to the staff and were clearly unhappy about it, though did not insist on having the broths changed around. What happened next made it the most awkward and uncomfortable dining experience ever. From where we were sitting, we could hear the owner reprimanding the staff for the error, throughout our meal. We understand mistakes occur and if the owner was unhappy about the mistake and genuinely wanted to apologise, taking the initiative to change the broth to the right setup, or a complimentary drink or dish would have gone a long way. But no, he chose to reprimand the staff within our hearing for the whole dinner (which didn't help the situation one bit and made the experience worse! . We felt sorry for the staff. Even with the hospitality shortage, that was a completely wrong way to help the staff improve, nor help retain them in the long run. I don't remember anything about the food, although photos did show a good range to choose from. At the end of the meal we each received a box of hello panda, which might have helped, if not for the fact they were expired. All in all, would not recommend."
