"We went to Pizza Express Broughton today, have to say they were brilliant. Missy was our sever and she was lovely, she's definitely an asset that needs to be recognised by the company! Nothing was too much trouble, in fact, all the staff were lovely, despite them being short-staffed due to sickness for which they apologised. There seemed to be an abundance of idiots in there today, you know the ones, professional moaners about nothing in particular, trying to get money knocked off their bills (must have been the rubbish weather! Despite this, Missy and her fellow servers another one called Neve-sorry if we spelt it wrong- were ace, despite the moaners talking to them like something they'd stepped in. Hats off to all of you, can't wait to go back, to the whinge bags, shame on you! Twelve months ago today, I was in hospital having my prostate removed because of cancer, life's too short, get over yourselves and treat these girls with some respect!! "We visited for our anniversary. The lady serving us was excellent, very friendly and polite. Small touches like apologising and letting you know she was coming when we turned up and she was serving drinks make all the difference. The food was served piping hot which I personally prefer and we had a good size portion. We had a haggis pie with spring onion mash and chicken tarragon pie with pesto mash and a white wine sauce to die for! Followed by a delicious banana and cinnamon bread pudding and chocolate button cheesecake. Reasonably priced too and a nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try the fajitas! Thank you"

"After that, we waited for our table to be cleaned and were eventually seated. However, we waited 20 minutes for a menu with no sign of anyone assisting us, so we had to go get our own menus from the front near the entrance. After another 15 minutes of waiting without anyone coming to take our order, even for drinks, we had to ask for table service ourselves. If we hadn't done that, it would have taken an additional hour to be served. **Second RED FLAG.** When we finally placed our order, the same manager had the worst attitude and seemed uninterested. She then asked a waiter to take our order without even acknowledging us. At this point, we had been sitting here for over 45 minutes. **Third RED FLAG.** The most concerning aspect was that I felt we were treated differently as a mixed couple. Several groups who arrived after us were seated and served before us, even though we could clearly hear them being welcomed at the front door. My wife was ready to leave, but since we hadn’t eaten and our kids were hungry, we decided to stay, thinking it would take longer to find another restaurant. We’ve dined at many Pizza Express locations, and this one is by far the worst we've encountered. The food was consistent with what we expected, and when our orders did arrive, they came in a reasonable time. However, the water we ordered never arrived, despite our follow-up request. By the time our desserts came, my youngest had already fallen asleep from the wait. Based on today’s experience, I cannot recommend the Pizza Express at the East Midlands Designer Outlet. A message for the manager (the one with dark hair): If you can’t provide excellent customer service consistently, perhaps this isn’t the job for you. If you're having a bad day, it might be better to take a break or the day off. Be professional. Unfortunately, it only takes one negative experience to leave a bad impression, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy at the time."

"the surrey cannot recommend enough! recently there was a 40th birthday party and the venue, the staff and the food were perfect. had many compliments from our guests and with all employees (katy, stevie, sean and the chef) makes it stress-free, and eating delicious, it also meant that we relax and enjoy. if you are looking for a private venue in the city center with great food and service, I would highly recommend it."

"We frequently visit this restaurant slowly the standards are becoming worse. The toilets alone could do with a full refurbishment. Yesterday our pizzas were quite soft/doughy. We didn’t complain because they were edible we were starving but not the usual standard we have come to love expect. They had run out of kids menus which our daughter enjoys completing whilst waiting for her food to arrive, although the staff did get her some paper to draw on instead upon request. Most of the waiters/waitresses seemed a bit clueless so we assume they were quite new. I was also in full view of the kitchen saw the female chef wiping her nose in the neck of her top! "The setting for the tea room is a quintessential rural village. A pub, a church, various picturesque cottages, and the tea room.
