"Lovely pub with amazing staff! Laura, in particular, was really helpful helping us find a table and recommending food for us. We shared a selection of the small plates they were great, and perfect sharer options for friends out for drinks and nibbles. The food was a little slow coming out, and some bits were a little cold, but we put that down to ordering quite a few different dishes, and it didn’t spoil the experience overall. We did witness an uncomfortable incident where a very unhappy customer was complaining in quite an aggressive and intimidating way, but Laura kept her calm and handled it amazingly well. It was hard to watch, so must’ve been awful to be on the receiving end of that kind of complaint management should be proud of their staff!!"

"This place never ceases to amaze me. A very small but intimate restaurant with a great atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff probably the best Indian food I've ever had. Four of us phoned to see if they could accommodate us almost immediately. Luckily, it being midweek it wasn't a problem. The staff really looked after us. Only too pleased to advise about the menu will also let you order a certain dish with a hotter sauce or modify dishes as you request. I can certainly recommend the Desi Lamb...Amazing! The Onion Bargis are superb (order 1 between two ....they are big) Tikka Massala superb. They don't serve alcohol but there is no problem at all taking your own beer wine in. We will return."

"Awesome time here always the place to go for cocktails in Leeds. Their new food menu is amazing and ridiculously cheap for Leeds!!! I 'd come here just for the food. But the Zombie cocktail is a must have in Leeds. And Conny the bartender who took my order allowed me to have the usually wasted extra cocktail. This is Yorkshire waste should not happen. Best pub in Leeds!"

"Absolutely fantastic! We came for the curry evening which is held every Tuesday. £12 for a curry, rice or naan and drink (soft drink, wine or beer). It’s amazingly good value for money and we really enjoyed the food. Particular highlights were the lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, chicken bhuna and chicken korma. The soft buttered naans were amazing too and seemed like they had come straight out of a tandoor. Just fantastic! Kapilla who served us is lovely and one of the sweetest, hardworking ladies you’ll ever meet. Thank you to Kapilla and all of the team for a lovely evening, we will be back for sure"

"We visited with friends on a Saturday evening from the outside my heart sank no kerb appeal weeds around the building old torn stickers of past achievement and accredition in the far from clean windows limited exterior signs did not look great but car park was full so that was a good sign. Rather brusk welcome interior was smart and clean orders taken efficiently. Food arrived in good time and I have to say was really good. The waiters became more relaxed as the evening went on. 112 for 4 people that included 4 x cobras and a bottle of wine not bad. Hands shakes on leaving. I do think some exterior spruce up would pay dividends and look like someone cared and some gentle background music to add a little atmosphere to an otherwise clinical which I had no issue with interior most importantly though food was good and front of house premises and toilets were clean. Can recommend you can't always judge a book by its cover."

"I have visited many Indian restaurants, but I have often been disappointed by the lack of variety in their dishes. They are either overly spicy or bland, and often drenched in oil and artificial coloring. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this particular restaurant. Despite its unassuming appearance, the food was well-seasoned, made with high quality meat, and overall excellent. I was very impressed and will definitely return. Although I have had some average experiences in the past, my most recent visit was once again excellent. Every restaurant has its off days, but for the price, this place offers the best value for takeout in York. While Mirchiz on Fishergate may offer slightly higher quality dining, it is also more expensive. For a local Indian restaurant, this place surpasses its competition."

"The menu at The Mumbai Mansion is not your standard Indian fare. Scallops, Monkfish, Venison all feature in the starter selections. There is also a number of mains cooked on the grill, including lobster, lamb and duck. "I was a bit apprehensive since my friend struggles with social anxiety, and it took a lot to persuade her to join us. Luckily, we were the only diners that day, which made her feel more at ease. "this restaurant is fantastic. the personal is incredibly welcoming; they are always attentive. some nights that we were here, I and my partner are the only ones that night in the others that filled it in full, but in any case, the personal they make the feeling as if they were the only one they have. very good hospitality! the manager has always introduced himself and makes time for small talks. good man. eating is excellent, always perfecting. I always command the same when it had another resistance, the waiting team asked them to take the time to explain the supply problems. it still tastes fantastic. "19:30 order food. Told will be delivered between 2035 and 2055. At 2000 I get text saying on its way. At 2020 I rang them and they said he is delivering to more than just you . So it will be cold then? I replied. The controller told me they are in heat boxes and it will be fine. At 2040 it was delivered. The poor delivery driver was wet through and cold, but still in high spirits. The meal was FANTASTIC! still hot and perfect in every way. I apologise for my rudeness on the phone to the controller. Order with confidence."

"We returned to Poppadoms Cream after being extremely pleased with our last visit. Once again, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, and our food was prepared beautifully. Upon our arrival, we noticed a few satisfied customers dining. "The food at the restaurant was not as good as it had been in previous visits. The service was casual. The shared starter was good as expected, but we were unsure about some of the ingredients. The biryani was mostly rice with a dry texture and burnt on the bottom of the pot, not following the recipe. The paneer masala was nothing special and disappointing, served in a dish with no place to put the rice. We could have gotten something similar for a lower price elsewhere. We have always celebrated our wedding at Prashads and had excellent food and service, but this time was a disappointing and expensive evening."
