"We visited Wagamamas on a Friday afternoon and were impressed by the consistently high standards that we have come to expect from this restaurant chain. The added bonus of having a view of Portsmouth harbour made our experience even more enjoyable."

"lynne. I've been feeding my friends in the chest-sandori because we know the owner personally. eating and eating are always on the place, but since their refit the customer service is not satisfactory. I have been with my friends for the first time since the refit and was horrified at the answer we got when we asked for coffee. the machine was obviously broken. then we asked for another bottle of wine, and it soon became clear that they wanted us to move from the table and dink the bottle in the other room. the owner was called, but he seemed uninterested. he said we could have a free bottle of wine, but the waiter insisted we paid for it. after a certain place where the...more"

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant; I didn’t expect it to be this nice. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was very polite. However, the service was a bit slow, and we did have to wait a while for our dinner drinks. That said, the food was outstanding—much better than other Indian restaurants I’ve visited. The quality was excellent! I will definitely be returning. Meal type: Dinner."

"After receiving confirmation of our booking, we were surprised to find that the restaurant was not expecting us upon our arrival, which led to a wait while they arranged our seating. Once we were seated, we ordered poppadoms and drinks, which arrived promptly. However, we ended up waiting for over an hour before our main order was even taken. While the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired, and we were quite disappointed overall."

"Had dinner here tonight and it was absolutely delicious. There was a great vegetarian selection for both starters and mains. I had the chana puri and paneer masala which was so good. Portion sizes were just right, naan bread was lovely and the drinks were very extensive and everything was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was calm and at ease, something which is hard to come by these days, and the staff were attentive, humourous and engaging. We didn't go here during the government's Eat out to Help Out scheme, but all I can say is that Mumbai's Diner Club was not only cheaper but better value than the places we did go during August. I'll definitely be back, I've still so much of the menu to try!"

"I popped in here as one does occasionally with family on Thursday 24th October 2019 just after midday. It is an unassuming place, looking like your typical local café, located on the corner as one half of a building which also consists of the Bon Bon Newsagents and Store next door. Firstly, this is not a disabled friendly building. Nothing here that is disabled compliant, however you can get a walker and a wheelchair up the step and through the two doors with assistance. It is also possible to put a walker (as long as they fold up) behind a seat while having a table, so 2 people with such would need a 4-seater. It is also possible to put 1 wheelchair in place of 1 seat at the main table (from a straight line from the entrance past the counter) facing the back of the café with moving the table behind. Provided the café is not packed and again with assistance. The owners are very good in respect of providing assistance and help where possible. Note also the furniture is basic, just tables and chairs. There is no inside toilet but one cubicle accessible outside via the back door. It can and often does get very packed as popular with locals, visitors, local workmen, lots of people. Access between tables can be narrow and one orders at the Counter, your order sans drinks is brought over. Why do I recommend going here? Never judge a book by it’s cover. Mistakenly passing on this place as just another greasy spoon is a tragedy. The secret is what its kitchen can do! Cooked Breakfasts, several set menus and a 7-item choice breakfast. Choice burgers, such as Cheeseburger Quarter pounders with all trimmings and Chips. The Specials board is a gem. Among others such as Faggots and Cottage Pie, when available are Roast Dinners. Such as I had today and one of the best you can get at any price. 3 vegetables, carrots, garden peas and cabbage with crisp Roast Potatoes usually in a giant Yorkshire Pudding (if not, like today a normal sized one). The Roast Beef is perfect and plenty of it, perfectly Roasted and melt in the mouth. A decent Coffee and Tea is served and Soft Drink Cans available from the fridge near the counter. Some menu dishes include tea or coffee. Some are also available like the Burgers to takeaway. In the evening after it closes in the Afternoon at around 2pm, it transforms in Al’s Tikka Grill, an authentic Indian Restaurant to reopen from 5pm. So, if want one of the best café’s around and it is nicely situated opposite Ashton Park. Staff are pleasant and I note a TV is on showing Sky Sports usually albeit no sound. I find the place nicely decorated with a mixture of local Bristol decor and Indian décor. The place is kept very clean which is always a good sign. You like any of the food mentioned, do visit and try their food! Better than several local, more expensive and more up market establishments, after all that is why you go out to eat isn’t it. Highly recommended by me!"

"our meal started well, with delicious starter courses. the tandori king prawns and the mönch fish. the most important courses were however very disappointing. we love our curries. whatever the type, it doesn't have to be hot, but it should have a lot of taste. tonight we ordered one of the most main courses. one (the lambry rogan josh) was well flavored. the rest remembered a poor corma. it is sad that many Indian restaurants dug down their menus to match supposed English palates. that seems to be the case here. most of the main dishes lacked character or any significant taste. this was particularly sad, as the quality of the meat (sweet, lamb) and fish (prawns and monkfish) was good. the service was also excellent and the restaurant was very well furnished. with framed photos of Indian scenes on the walls. All right. why could it not be ready to meet the character of the building? with all means a few creamy, low seasoned dishes on a menu. However, please also offer food with a somewhat authenticity. if they do not want to eat spicy, but want to go to an Indian venue, they will be happy here. But if she, like we, enjoy her eating that makes her taste bud dance, then I would probably choose one of the norwich curry houses in the magdelin street."

"As a die hard Ertugrul fan, i have to say this was an absolutely magnificient experience. The decor and interior is divine and sets the mood of a well and flavoursome Turkish meal . The Ottoman restaurant is well presented with beautiful paintings showing the Turkish heritage and depicts the legendary Ottoman history with respects to the Ottoman Sultans which is something I have never come across in any restaurant . Amazing thoughts and effort has beem put into presenting the place and creating the atmosphere alongside the menu where items have been named after characters of the series. Upon entrance you see the food is being prepared by Turkish chefs, the food was fresh and flavoursome. The lamb donner was tender and tasty. The only downside i feel is that the hospitality was a slight let down as Turks are well known for their hospitality . The 5 stars are purely for the effort and setup of this place however going further I feel customer service and hospitality can be improved ."

"Having read some of the take away reviews I thought I'd throw in my two penneth. The food arrived 20 minutes earlier than stated, it was hot and everything including pickle tray, poppadoms, garlic nan and butter chicken curry were fantastic. I thought it strange there were negative reviews because eating in the restaurant is always fabulous. So there you go an excellent takeaway service which I would highly recommend. "We have always loved this restaurant but visited this weekend and we were disappointed with both service and meals. We arrived promptly were sat by waiter. No glasses on table, it’s a byob we asked for these. Waited patiently for ten minutes or so and requested again as we ordered food. Waited patiently again, no glasses but pickle tray poppadoms delivered. Requested for third time and although waiter was polite there was no urgency to his service (we were the only people in the restaurant so wasn’t run off his feet). Must mention the pickle tray was delicious great value for cost. Food arrived and curries were nice although nothing special and not as good as previous visits and chicken was sparse and over cooked. Naan bread was awful, looked like the supermarket basic range. Really disappointing as this was done so well before. Lots of food left and presented with bill without requesting it before we’d actually decided we’d finished eating. By this time there were 3 tables of 2 in the restaurant. Not sure the rush to get us out. On the whole an utterly underwhelming night. Basic food and basic service although reasonably priced, especially for town. We have had great meals here in the past but I’m not quite sure we’d rush back, whatever they have changed isn’t quite working."

"consistency at any location we visit. On our most recent visit to Pizza Express, we were once again impressed by the quality of the food and the service provided. From the delicious pizzas to the friendly staff, our experience was nothing short of excellent. We will continue to be loyal customers of Pizza Express and highly recommend it to others looking for a satisfying dining experience."

"I ordered a variety of dips inspired by Bollywood street food to enjoy at home this weekend. I was thrilled to try them again after visiting the restaurant a few months ago. I have now tried a good portion of the menu and I must say that every dish was fantastic! The value for money is excellent, allowing you to try a variety of dishes without breaking the bank. The staff were very helpful and recommended some new dishes for me to try. I highly recommend this place to everyone and can't wait to go back!"
