"The burrito I ordered was actually more of a 3-star meal, but I can't really blame Poncho 8 for that since I opted for the healthier, less exciting option: vegetarian with brown rice."

"This updated pub features a fantastic atmosphere, complete with whimsical decor and a modern steampunk interior. Its central location is ideal, especially since there's a lovely park nearby that can be viewed from inside. The bartenders are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and creative. I enjoyed an incredible strawberry drink that was made in a tall glass with ten different liqueurs—it took about ten minutes to prepare, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The drink was delicious and evoked the taste of summer, even in the midst of foggy Scotland. This charming spot attracts both locals and tourists without being overly gimmicky. It’s the perfect place to relax and hang out with good friends while enjoying great drinks. I really wish there was something like this in Toronto, and I’d love to replicate it!"

"I recently tried Mezcal for the first time and I will definitely be going back. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a great sense of humor that fit well with the casual atmosphere. I tried several items from the menu and everything was excellent, fresh, and delicious. The prices for both the food and drinks were reasonable."

"We visited this restaurant for the first time with our son and his best friend. It was an amazing experience that we definitely plan to repeat in the future. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They helped us navigate the menu and the margaritas were fantastic. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. We highly recommend this place."

"I recently returned to London and made the trip to a restaurant across town for a vegan roast. I ordered the Nut Roast and also tried the Beet Wellington, along with the Leek Gratin sides. My favorite was the Beet Wellington, it tasted delicious. The Nut Roast was decent, I would rate it a 3.5-4 out of 5 (it's cooked in a cabbage leaf so it's more of a steamed nut roast). I would suggest a thicker gravy. I recommend trying the sticky toffee pudding over the crumble."

"This real mezcal bar is a cozy oasis to pamper yourself with great, legitimate cocktails and delicious Mexican snacks. for the unannounced mezcal, a spirit that is considered like tequila from cactus, although made by another process, by many mystical drink, because of its great well-being, roughness and strength. and while they do not get the real ding in a pub, owner cesar will do it, here in his precious business. the service is second-to-one. I am definitiw back."

"A good surprise brunch. Welcoming and helpful staff provided us an escape from the midday sun by pulling out the. A very good twist on traditional English breakfast. Well cooked and perfectly runny eggs, crunchy hash brown nuggets, and nice twist instead of tomato you get this lovely little slightly sweet sauce on a side, all together just pure deliciousness. Chicken salad, refreshing a vibrant. Solid choice for a hot sunny day. Both our brunch options were delightful. Thank you brickwood and see you next time."

"Very small, friendly waitress. Menu consists of tacos, burritos and quesadillas, all elaborately prepared. The title 'Cantina ' describes the ambiance adequately. We 're not Mexican food fanatics, and we were surprised at the lack of fajitas and chilli, but the food was well presented and tasty. Distancing between the tables was good, despite the compactness of the restaurant. Nothing wrong with the food or the restaurant, but just a bit too authentic for us!"

"First time here after reading countless good reviews...yes this place is as good as they say...great authentic food...great atmosphere, excellent service and friendly staff. The frozen cocktails are something else!!...Mexican pulled pork tacos were real good....prawn tortillas with guacamole, salsa a garlic are not to be missed! Pricing is more than reasonable..you could spend more on mass produced rubbish from a beefeater etc... Highly recommend La Casita...it is certainly worth a visit if you wish to sample authentic Mexican food....we will be visiting regularly from now on......Get there!!!.... Paul n Hayley....."

"The food was tasty and portion sizes meant a starter and large main left us feeling pleasantly full however... I would unfortunately say that though the waiters were polite and good with providing drinks (using the service button on the table to get their attention), getting food was incredibly slow. We were a group of 10 and had booked a couple of weeks in advance we ordered starters and mains, but despite having a 7pm booking we didn't get mains until around 9pm. It was fine but noticeably slow with no mention of a wait when booking our table, or updates from staff on how long it'd be. It made matters worse as we saw other people turn up after we ordered, and still receive their starters and mains before we had ours. We'll likely go back, but definitely in smaller groups."

"My partner and I visited the food stall last night for the first time. In fact, it was the first time we had visited the market. We were greeted by friendly staff at the stall and given information on where to sit and what mexican food was available (full menu). The beef quesadilla was very tasty and spicy. The chilli con carne was tasty but my partner likes really spicy food so the ccc could have had an option of adding extra spices. We received complimentary breaded jalapeño poppers, which tasted fantastic. I also got a freebie....a small cheeky beef enchilada If you want a mexican and don't want to go into town or shopping centre then try this independent in Ratcliffe Market Parking: Within 100 yards of the market. Kid-friendliness: There was a DJ and a singer on at the far end of the market. Wheelchair accessibility: All on ground level."

"I made my order here as I was craving tacos on a Saturday and this was the only place that was open at the time I needed. I've seen the business advertised on a bbc show with Ainsley before so always knew about it, but this was my visit visit. Walked around the Arndale market to see about the place and it looks really good ... a proper street food authentic Mexican unit with all the ingredients on display, a cabinet full of hot sauces and chilli sauces and authentic Mexican items. It was great. I made my order through deliveroo to collect as I'm always a bit shy when ordering at a new place for the first time .. so order to collect on an app is perfect for me. I ordered the chicken tinga tacos (which were corn tacos so gluten free) and added tofu (for a cost) and had free toppings of soured cream, cheese, chipotle sauce and salad, and a bag of tortilla chips. The order came in an awesome branded paper bag and it was huge. The tacos were at the bottom and looking inside the bar, I didn't realise how big the tortilla chip bag was The food was great ... the container was filled to the brim and was so delicious. The salad was crunchy and fresh, the chicken came in big chunks and was delicious, the tofu was the best tofu I've ever had and they had rice on the tacos too. 10/10 would go back and recommend to anyone .. I need to try the burritos or burrito bowls next time .. or just have one of everything as it was so good .. and in the city centre too so if you're around and you want authentic, delicious, fresh Mexican food .. this is the place. (They even sell merch of the shop and things like Mexican wrestling masks and tomatillos and so much more)"

"Food: 4.5 stars Delicious burrito; a little light on filling (lots of extra burrito wrapped up on itself. Order ahead pickup experience: 0 stars I ordered online, but they prioritize the walk-in customers over online so don’t waste your time ordering online. They didn’t make my food until after I arrived and I had asked about where to pickup online orders. There’s no signage for online order pickup so I had to stand around until I could get someone’s attention. I may as well have queued up with everyone else since even the people who walked in the door after me had their food in hand before I did. Their limited hours (9-3) make it difficult to eat here. Also, in their haste to get caught up, they made me three 10” burritos instead two 10” and a 13” and I didn’t know until I got home. I lost $1.50 on that. I could complain about it but given how infrequently I’m able to go there (see previous comment about the hours) I don’t think it’s worth the effort. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional; it’s just disappointing. Would I eat the food again? Absolutely. Will I actually order lunch here again? Maybe, but unlikely. If I ever have a day off during the work week and I can dine in to make sure they get my order right, then yes."

"Feels odd giving five stars to a tiny cafe with plastic seats out the back. But then, there's a reason the plastic seats and lack of plates don't matter, and it's the same as the reason you'll see a huge queue form out the door at lunchtime. El Burrito mostly does takeaway, and that queue moves very quickly once they get going, so don't be put off. My colleague and I discovered this place while working in the area, it became a struggle not to be going there every day. Staff are efficient and friendly, and they operate a very good system to get people served quickly. The burritos are absolutely delicious, especially if you grab a handful of nachos and a can of weird fizzy agave and plonk yourself in the back. You can then dare each other with fire-hot chilli sauces. The food actually comes down from their parent restaurant, Mestizo, just up the road. Also a truly excellent dining experience."

"It’s hard to tell if The Patch Lewes is more cafe or tap-room. There's a huge refrigerator full of sandwiches to your right as you walk in and the air smells of frying food, so that’s ticked the cafe vibes. The the walls, however, are decorated with thousands of beer tap POS clip art, which collectively tell a colourful tale of the myriad of wonderful liquids from far and wide that have graced the taps here. The Patch Lewes is a humble yet valuable member of Lewes’ cafe and nighttime landscape. In truth the space could be a bit more comfortable for when you want to hunker down for a beery session. But in central Lewes, you just cannot beat The Patch for modern beer variety."

"**Round One – Tequeños (Deep-Fried Cheese Sticks)** This was perhaps the most exciting round, especially because we were presented with two distinctly different sauces. The first was Guasacaca’s signature sauce, made from avocado but with a lighter consistency perfect for dipping. The spicy cheese sticks paired with this sauce were a true savory delight! Then, we tried the plain cheese sticks with a sugar cane and orange sauce, transforming them into an indulgent sweet treat. I love how versatile and incredibly addictive these cheese sticks are! **Round Two – Yuca Frita (Cassava Fries with Guasacaca and Habanero Chili Sauce)** **Tostones (Crispy Plantain Cups Filled with Shredded Beef, Pico de Gallo, and Llanero Cheese)** All I can say is that these sides completely outshine the typical chips and salad! The cassava fries were remarkably thick—almost as hefty as a croquette rather than a chip—and they were wonderfully salty, leaving you wanting more. The tostones were beautifully crispy plantain cups filled with succulent beef and were absolutely delicious. **Round Three – Arepas (Stuffed Gluten-Free Corn Pockets)** We opted for the £16 selection, which includes four smaller arepas, allowing us to sample all the fillings! The options included shredded chicken, shredded beef, roasted pork leg, or the vegetarian choice of black beans, fried plantain, and llanero cheese. What I truly love about arepas is their crispy outer layer and fluffy inside. Each filling was bursting with flavor, making it easy to enjoy every last bite. As a Londoner, I feel compelled to promote Venezuelan cuisine. It deserves to be celebrated as much as Mexican, Thai, Indian, and other beloved global cuisines in the UK. With such a diverse menu overflowing with flavor, you’re sure to find something you’ll love!"

"Yesterday, we visited The Plough and Harrow for dinner before heading to the Lyric Theatre. The service we received was exceptional. We placed our orders at our table and our drinks arrived promptly for us to enjoy while our food was being prepared. The Routemaster Red ale I had was delicious. The meals we ordered were all of high quality and the portions were generous. We couldn't have gotten better value even if we had purchased all the food and drinks from a supermarket and prepared it ourselves at home. The pub had a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, and the staff were excellent. Kudos to the entire team at The Plough and Harrow."
