"I was pleasantly surprised by the separate vegetarian menu at this restaurant, which made ordering easy. I started with some salt and vinegar-peeled vegetable croquettes, followed by a delicious vegetarian tart. My companion enjoyed the linguine. The starter and tart were both very enjoyable. While the dessert options sounded appealing, we decided to pass. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend it for a casual dining option."

"We only recently started going to the Piper as it's under new management. The new landlords are lovely. They made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere is great. The food was excellent value for money and plenty of it! We will now be going on a regular basis. I know it had a bad name in the past but I would encourage anyone to give it another try. It's amazing how new management can make such a difference in the space of 3 weeks!"

"Waiting service asked the same questions, ordered roast pork loin but got belly of pork, confusion from the staff over the difference in coffees, and we were sat right in front of the singer who was very good but meant that we couldn’t talk as she was too loud."

"My husband and I stayed at this hotel while attending an event at Santapod. From the moment we arrived until we left, our stay was comfortable. The rooms were cleaned impeccably and the bed felt like sleeping on a feather. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs, which was perfect. The owners of the hotel were welcoming and polite, making us feel at home. We plan to stay here again in the future. Four weeks later, we stayed at the hotel again for another event at Santapod. The owners and staff treated us like family. We stayed in a family room this time, which was spacious and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. Overall, we had an amazing stay and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for the great service!"

"I absolutely love this place. Not only does it offer delicious vegan food, but it also has a great atmosphere as a pub. There are plenty of TVs for sports enthusiasts, and plenty of other areas for those who aren't interested in sports. The outdoor space is lovely during the summer. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. It's fantastic to see the official vegan symbol on the menu of a sporty pub, as it helps to normalize the image of vegans. The menu offers a wide variety of vegan options for both starters and mains. I tried the sorbet with shortbread, and it was perfect. I wish I could give this place a five-star rating."

"the taste of eating was very good. the brat was a bit on the cool side, would have been hot when it served. something on the carrot and the papagei, as only a piece, but the bark was abundant. yorkshire puddings good and my roast potatoes are craspier tired bit they are but I am not mass production. it was cold to sit at the back of the pub and would not want to sit there again. I want to sit in front of the pub when we come back to what we will do. the staff was excellent, courteous, helpful and happy, which is why we have left a great tipp."

"I have dined at this restaurant multiple times over the years and have always had a good experience. However, on this occasion, we waited 45 minutes for our food despite it not appearing to be overly busy. The food was tasty, but I was surprised to see that the prices had increased significantly. Our bill for two drinks and pie and mash came to over £40, which I found to be quite expensive. I can find a similar meal for much cheaper at other local restaurants."

"For our main course, we both had steak, and it was delightful; they truly serve the best steaks I've ever had. However, I ordered dauphinoise potatoes on the side, which turned out to be extremely dry and tasteless, resembling boiled sliced potatoes with a crispy top instead of the creamy goodness I expected. We also ordered a side of mixed vegetables, but they forgot about it. We assured them it was no problem if it would take a while, but they ultimately prepared it, arriving only after I had finished my meal. When we spoke to the waiter, he mentioned that the usual chef was absent (as we had requested something from an old menu), so I suspect these mix-ups were due to a new chef or perhaps a less experienced one working on Wednesdays. Overall, we were quite dissatisfied with our meal, but we’ve enjoyed the restaurant in the past, so we will return—just not on a Wednesday!"

"This pub is located at the end of Old Amersham, and the lady at the bar was very friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of seating options, and when the sun is shining, the pub garden is a lovely place to relax. The food we ordered—a chicken sandwich—was decent. However, I had requested the chicken without breadcrumbs, and it came with them instead (there were two versions available). I didn’t mention it at the time."

"I stayed in Canary Wharf during the weekdays and was always unsure of where to eat. I decided to visit this restaurant after hearing many recommendations for their beef tartare on TripAdvisor. Upon entering for dinner (the area is usually quiet as it is a business district and only busy during lunch and breakfast), I was greeted by the very helpful staff, particularly a server named Adelina. She provided great wine recommendations and offered helpful information for comparison. The recommended wine was excellent and suited my taste perfectly. The beef tartare was absolutely delicious, with the best taste and texture I have experienced compared to other places. After starting with the beef tartare, I decided to try the Burrata as well as a chai crème brûlée for dessert. All dishes were amazing and served in generous portions. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service at this restaurant, and I wish I had discovered it sooner. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Canary Wharf, possibly even better than those in the center of London. I highly recommend visiting this spot for a quiet dinner and excellent dining experience. Special thanks to Adelina for making my visit memorable. Cheers!"

"the service was friendly and the place clean and warm, but eating was not quite on scratches. we had the caries and while the meat was in order (the crack was also good crunchy,) the sweet was not so good. the kartoffels seemed. to be deep-fried (the skin was dark and crispy, but full of oil) the brokkoli was a mixture of overcooked (mushy) and undercooked (rock-resistant) pieces and the cauliflower was very watery. for the price I would have expected a better quality, and I hope he will improve in the future."
"I'm only able to give the lowest rating because, upon arriving, we saw a sign on the door stating that the kitchen was closed. While I understand that unexpected situations can occur, a phone call or email would have been appreciated to allow us to make alternative plans. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant."

"Unfortunately the Sunday menu has shrunk yet again only choice of beef or pork now if wanting a roast lunch, Food arrived in a timely manner but lukewarm. Terrible issue with flies not enjoyable having to keep swatting them away from Food and drinks. Service charge added to bill ...why , it should be customers choice to tip, not to be made to feel uncomfortable if you don't Want to. Tipping used to be because it was poorly paid, minimum wage changed that, I did ask if the servers got the tip and they do and the server said they work hard so deserve it, ummm they are being paid to work hard. Seems to have had a big change of staff, unfortunately put of going again."

"My elderly mum and I enjoyed a delicious sirloin steak by the roaring fire. The steak was cooked to perfection and came with delicious mushrooms and tomatoes. I had fat chips and mum had sautéed potatoes. I think I’ll go for the sautéed potatoes next time. We were very well looked after by Chloe and Kuda and look forward to returning very soon."

"Visited The Orange Tree on a Sunday afternoon, was busy as we arrived but as the tables are spaced, never felt noisey. Received a warm welcome from all the three staff, they were professional and relaxed, there was no rush for our meal, nice atmosphere. There is a large menu and special board and all our meals were top quality, I had the Chicken Roast, the potatoes were best I have had in ages and with eight different vegetables, top quality roast dinner. The are no real ales on tap, only in bottles. There is a car park for about 20 cars with lighting for these winter months. There is a farmer market attached to the restaurant. Its not dear for the quality of food and service. Wines start from £22 a bottle. I will recommend a visit."
