"Smiths if Smithfield never disappoints!!! A great buzz in the restaurant last night, with plenty of people having a great time... And for an 'industrial ' setting, it 's surprising how you can still have a conversation at your own table!!!"

"We recently dined at the Rudgleigh Inn Steakhouse for the first time, and we were extremely impressed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a great selection on the menu. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of high-quality food and drinks in a cozy setting, rather than a typical pub that also offers food. We will definitely be returning."

"This was the first time we had been here. I will definitely be visiting again. The service was fantastic despite being a little early for our table. Didn’t have to wait for anything. We all went for the roast lunch option which has to be one of the tastiest i’ve Eaten out. Was excellent value for money."

"We enjoyed ourselves at The Well on an early Sunday evening. The waitress for some reason couldn't identify my Opentable reservation in their system, but once I showed her my confirmation email, she was absolutely fine about accepting it and granted us the offer. The staff were friendly and were very flexible as we were a group of three which suddenly grew to a group of five and it was no problem immediately moving us to a larger table. The wine options were good and I enjoyed a nice glass of red and my friends found the various white wines and rose very palatable. We were able to use our off food only offer on the specials menu as well as the main A La Carte menu. It was just a risotto dish that we were told we could not order. We would have found the prices quite expensive otherwise (although it probably reflects the location, being Clerkenwell) but the service and the quality of the cuisine is very good. Three of us totally enjoyed the hearty, generous half Chicken Sunday Roast. It came with so many delicious extras and trimmings and was prepared really well... the hake dish that my other two friends chose seemed to go down very well also, infact they allowed one friend to create a dish with the roast's vegetables. He was chuffed. All the puddings were a real delight too. My chocolate dessert was scrumptious with a delicious sauce. All in all a very good experience was had at The Well and we would certainly return there!"

"I attended the Boatyard for a birthday event, I do not usually review places however they served me some of the greatest service (I didn't get the name of the guy but he wore a marvel type mask I believe, the ladies name was Ashleigh) ever as well as the BEST burger I think I have ever eaten, it has a nice atmosphere (maybe a tad too loud but I think that is the comfy atmosphere) I even thanked the kitchen for such a great night out."

"Very disappointed as had been recommended The Tipputs and it was our 1st Wedding Anniversary. My starter was completely different to how it was described on the menu. Should have been Wood Pigeon breast on black pudding mash with red wine jus. It came out as a wood pigeon breast with some sort of pickled white cabbage and mustard sauce. I queried this and instead of re plating correctly, I was just brought a little bowl of black pudding mash. I had ordered King Prawns in garlic butter with salad and fries for my main. The dish came out and we were asked if we wanted sauces. I requested salad dressing and the waitress responded 'what? ' so I repeated my request and was brought another bowl with a teaspoon of salad dressing in it. I realised I had no fries so again had to check the menu to make sure I had not been mistaken another trip to the bar to request the missing fries. The plate was cold, the prawns were luke warm and mushy. As the prawns were 'shell on ' I really could have done with a finger bowl. My husband had Rack of Lamb with very little Lamb. We had been advised it would be cooked 'pink ' which would have been perfect except it wasn 't, it was over done. Horribly over priced for the quality of food. We did get a small discount off the bill but even at that price, we felt robbed!"

"Arrived about 2.30 pm on a Sunday, and it didn 't seem too busy. We had made a booking via OpenTable a few minutes before our arrival. We were promptly shown to our table in a conservatory, which seemed nice enough. We ordered our drinks and they arrived promptly but then we had to ask to order our food as nobody came to our table. The mushroom starters arrived in a reasonable time and were really very creamy but not that garlicky and weren 't served on tiger bread as stated in the menu, but they made a good appetiser all the same. The main which was the roast chicken for both of us arrived again in a reasonable time, and we were given a separate portion of cauliflower cheese , which we guessed just came with the meal. The said cauliflower cheese was a very odd neon colour but tasted ok. The chicken was plentiful but a bit bland, and the array of roasted vegetables and an extremely large pig in a blanket made the dinner more than palatable. We couldn 't manage a dessert as we were rather full, but what we saw other guests eating looked appetising. We asked for the bill, which annoyingly had a 10% service charge automatically added. We would no doubt have left a tip, but this optional charge bumped the bill up significantly. We expected the waitress to ask if we were happy to pay this, but we were not given the option on payment. The full amount, including the 10%, was simply charged to our card. We paid just shy of £70 for Sunday lunch with starters for two with 3 drinks, and we both agreed this was a little steep for what we had."

"Ate here on Father’s Day and was really impressed with the range of vegan options. There is a separate vegan menu and loads to choose from. I had the mixed grill which was a decent size and tasty. Was great that 90% of the deserts were vegan so when my daughter couldn’t eat her ice cream I could finish it off! Updated from previous review on 2021-06-21 Visited again last night (Aug 2021) and had the “lamb” skewers and “chicken” burger. Both tasted amazing! Updated from previous review on 2021-08-22"

"An absolute gem of an eating establishment in sunny Belfast. Fantastic food quality and excellent service. Superb portion sizes and great value for money. Lovely , spotlessly clean interior and well worth a visit. The attention to detail is an absolute credit to the owner. This place sets the bar as an example of how to run a business. Kudos to all involved. Highly recommended Love and respect"

"Where do I begin? First of all, there was no record of my reservation, but thankfully, there was a table available. We waited for the menu to arrive, but when it did, we were informed that there were no starters available during the week. The menu itself offered very limited choices, so we opted for the carvery. Unfortunately, all the vegetables were dried out and hard, indicating they hadn't been refreshed; I really didn't feel like eating them. If it hadn't been for my friend's birthday, I would have walked out. The meat was sliced so thin that you could see through it. I did voice my concerns but was merely told that if I came back again, they would ensure it didn't happen next time. I definitely won't be returning! On a side note, the gentleman who served the meat was quite grumpy and unhelpful."

"Outrageous expensive Sandwich and fries. Ordered as per request from QR code on the table. I ordered tomato and cheese with fries and a pint of Camden. What arrives was a very sorrowful thin granary sandwich with what looked liked ready made chive and cheese mush. Then to be told the QR code was wrong for this pub and they guessed , did it have Camden so offered Peroni. My wife had fish fingers on Brioche with chips in included at £10.95 far more value than the miserable wrong sandwich that was supplied at £8.45 plus fries at £3.95. The more I write the more angrier I find myself. The staff apologised that it was the system. As one has already paid via the QR code, you have already paid your money before seeing the food. Absolute miserable, far better value down the road at the riverside cafe in Bensons, much better place and food value excellent. This is an outrageous ripoff for this sandwich. I should also add that the Bill you are invoiced by Email doesn’t add up. It’s beyond me no matter how I interpret the vat on drinks and food which were both matched as 20%. Avoid there are far better value places. Maybe if my dissatisfaction at the time that I shared with the waiters was not so care freely ignored and unaddressed I could have been placated. That being said if the right sandwich had turned up it probably would have been woefully miserable . Food drinks: Outrageous expensive Sandwich and fries. "Had a nice evening albeit food overall was disappointing. The interior also doesn’t match up now to the outside space, more can be made of things potentially lovely pub. You often find food quality is compromised with festive menus and it becomes more like mass catering so lacked a bit of the quality and finesse of when I have visited previously. Brie bites looked like they were out of a party food box and most of the cheese was already oozing out and therefore stuck to the plate. Mains were pretty good but desserts disappointing, watery custard and a slice of Yule log thinner than a slice of bread. However overall good value and friendly service."

"Fabulous meal for 12 booked at very short notice (like ten minutes) after being disastrously let down by Crewe Hall! The staff were amazing, the service was brilliant, delicious three courses! Granny who can be hard to please said it was perfect!! Thanks so much for being accommodating at such short notice!"

"beautiful location with view. three options for vegans, the curry that we were both chosen was from the menu when we ordered. we then chose the tagine, which was small and tasteless and inspiring. one of us went for the fungus starter that could upgrade to a vegan feta and a net size. they calculated £13.90 for two field mushrooms, an salat garnish and some vegan cheese, we were robbed. when is the standard all in order with their meal times? I answered, it is tasteless and there is simply not enough food, we ordered a bowl chips to calm our hunger, no reduction was offered to the price, just an apology of our very good waitress that she did very best when in the opposite, they try the white lions in thakeham, stunning vegans choice, jackfruitka"
