"Went for lunch with my two sisters. Service was excellent; so polite and friendly despite it being so busy. Particularly would like to highlight the great service from our waitress, Kellee. Everything was done at a nice speed and Kellee allowed us the time we wanted to make decisions on our choices but was available when we wanted. We only ordered mains and glad that we did as they were really large. I had the chowder, which was delicious. My sisters had the fish and chips and the moules marinieres, both of which were similarly excellent. The chips were really nicely cooked and the fish thick and beautifully flaky without overly oily batter, which can often be an issue in pubs. We had a very nice bottle of red at an extremely reasonable price. It was extremely busy even at 14:30 on a Saturday so I was glad I booked. I can see exactly why it is so popular. Would definitely return."

We go here for lunch quite often. The pub is always busy, because it is great place to be. Clean, nicely decorated, very friendly staff and great food at a reasonable price. It even has a car park! Seriously, what’s not to like! Give it a try, you will not be disappointed:

I attended the Boatyard for a birthday event, I do not usually review places however they served me some of the greatest service (I didn't get the name of the guy but he wore a marvel type mask I believe, the ladies name was Ashleigh) ever as well as the BEST burger I think I have ever eaten, it has a nice atmosphere (maybe a tad too loud but I think that is the comfy atmosphere) I even thanked the kitchen for such a great night out.

Great food for two early evening meals in a week. Varied pub menu with all options; good portions; great specials selection. Wine great on one day; vile on the other (same request! Service on both times had two main members of waiting staff- on both occasions, the second outpassed the first (four different staff through being more smiley, polite and attentive. If all staff did this, the experience would be second to none! Good pub; consistently great pub style food.
