"It was very average. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the prices on the menu suggested high quality and a friendly service. The service was bad, not welcoming at all. Drinks and cutlery slammed down on the table by multiple staff members. Not many smiles or polite manners. Food was average, not amazing and definitely not worth the price. Parking: Only 2-3 space for disabled parking. Kid-friendliness: Probably not somewhere you would bring your children."

"this is a beautiful restaurant, rather similar to a raised French brasserie. there is a sitting area outside. there is a separate vegetarian/vegan menu and I ordered from it. I loved eating that I had. it was easy, but delicious. for the starter I had a pea and nice suppe, then for a main course I had the baked miso aubergine. as dessert I ordered the mandel panna cotta. the service was good, although our waiter was sometimes somewhat abrupt. all the others were very friendly. this place changes their menu depending on the season, so hopefully they will also contain some new vegan options in the future. pricely, it was not too bad, but it is the kind of place where she would probably go for a contract."

"Tomahawk was incredible! Undoubtedly the best steak I have ever eaten! Seating is strange ambience was definitely lacking. We ordered a side it was clearly forgotten about, we reminded staff twice we were still waiting on it, decided to start eating what we already received as we didn’t want it to go cold it arrived when we were 3/4 finished. Disappointing in that respect, as it was not busy at this time."

"The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. I want to give a special shoutout to Venkata for his exceptional service. The restaurant was quite busy during lunchtime, so having more staff on hand would definitely help improve the overall efficiency of the service."

"We had a great experience at The Ivy Clifton Brasserie. Despite making last-minute changes to our reservation, we were seated early, and the service was patient and attentive to our group’s needs. The menu had excellent vegetarian and vegan options, along with a dedicated children’s menu. I particularly enjoyed the onion soup and truffle arancini. The décor was beautiful, and we took many wonderful photos during our time together. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and a lovely atmosphere made for an enjoyable meal. Highly recommend for families and those seeking quality vegetarian or vegan dishes."

"What a great surprise exquisite food with small (by american standards), but finely balanced portions. ...Let me take a small sidestep. I often judge a restaurant by its bathroom cleanliness it’s spotless, with small white towels for drying your hands, clean shiny fixtures and hardware. Interior designers (or architects) did a fine work there as well as the dining room of this restaurant. It is not overly posh, it is just right for my humble taste that yearns for natural materials, like wood, stone, metal... So, if you want a tasty and elegant dinner among friends or to take your date on a comfortable night out, so that you can still “move” afterwards- beware of trdelník, my dear tourist then this is it. You might want to make a reservation if you plan to dine in the evening on a weekend. You can pay with a credit card or cash. Service is really great, waiters/waitresses speak English."

"Heaven help you if you want to select two starters from the £19.17 lunch menu and no main course. I was told the Polish owners rules don’t allow it. So much for pleasing your customers. No doubt it’s something to do with the IT system yet another example of technology trimphing over real service (as opposed to the PR version of service). In the end I had to pay for each of the starters and guess what? The total came to just over £19.17. Petty and ungenerous behaviour I call it."

"Brunch is such an impressive time of days in eating life these days and that makes it hard to decide what to have. Fear not, as you can order a platter at Le Pain Quotidien that gives you everything. It’s only mildly disappointing that it is a chain affair. There’s 219 other Le Pain Quotidien about and chains never make for the most fun or inventive options. The food is good at least. My choice was The Farmer brunch £16.95). That comes with a boiled egg, ham, gruyere, granola parfait, a drink, a juice, a pastry and a choice of bread. Phew. The price point is on the high side not including service as well but it could go towards a pair of mouths. The pain au chocolat and sourdough are particular highlights of the board and I would have to commend the proper Belgian hot chocolate not pictured). There was also three of the spreads Speculoos, Blondie and Noisella) that are fun to sample as well."

"Nice cosy restaurant, serving English style food. I personally had fish and chips, nice portion, chips were perfect, fish was slightly overcooked this ruined the batter but not the fish. Peas were plain. No greens on the plate. Price a little too high. Next day had a great English Breakfast. Again, the only thing lacking re some greens. They have a cooking station with a fine chef (lady). Please, helpful waiters and waitresses, and I though Siobhan was the pick. Will definitely go again."

"Wandering around Soho we walked by Le Pain and decided to give it a try looks nice from the outside with all these bread put forward on display. Ordered some house Chardonney with olives to start with and then Pizzetta, Organic Lentil Avocado Salad and Prosciutto with Mozzarella on toast. All really good. House wine excellent for house wine category, olives with some spicy flavour, salad was fairly reach (variety of veggies inside), ham was tasty and only pizzetta could have been, perhaps, a bit warmer... Staff really nice and knowledgable about the menu, their advice should be highly appreciated. They're good. Overall recommended, really. Would have been 5 if it wasn't for this...read more"

"Overall, my experience was quite disappointing. I made a reservation for six people, but when we arrived, the staff informed us that they no longer use OpenTable for bookings and had no record of our reservation. It was frustrating to see that the restaurant was only half full. To add to the disappointment, they told us they weren't serving Sunday roasts and suggested we try the other restaurant in the hotel, called Zest, which we ended up doing. It's clear that someone needs to take action and remove this restaurant from the site."

"Staff were attentive to our needs throughout the visit. The food was excellent with plenty of variety for the varied tastes of our party and everyone enjoyed their meals. Roxy our waitress throughout ensured that all our needs were met, and more. Thank you. Will certainly come back when in London."

"Had a very enjoyable lunch here earlier this week. The place was busy and all the tables were full but this just added to the atmosphere. The staff were all super-friendly and helpful despite being under pressure. Would definitely recommend as a fabulous spot for lunch on a beautiful shopping street. Quintessential London!!"

"What a great venue in the village. They had a couple of faults but the food and the atmosphere more than made up for it. Instead of 3 stars, which I would have given for the reason below it saved it to 4. The food is very good and the menu is extensive and caters for vegetarians with a separate menu. On the downside they run out of bread and a certain beer, plus turning up 20mins before the reservation we were asked to leave and come back at the right time..... why not allow us to wait at the bar. So overall a good experience."

"We walked down Mill Lane tired and hungry after a shopping trip and this place drew us in, and I am so pleased that it did. We had the most amazing welcome, all the staff gave offered us the very best service, they have clearly employed the best team, not only were all the staff trained to a very high standard but they were all genuinely happy, this equals fantastic service so well done! I opted for a chicken salad, and I really did not want it to end it was delicious, my husband decided on the filet, and judging by how fast it left his plate it was another very good dish. Both superb meals. The whole experience was simply exquisite. My only dissatisfaction was not knowing about this place sooner, rest assured we will be back. THANK YOU"

"we really enjoyed our meal here. came to celebrate our 9th anniversary. Unfortunately, we were not told during our booking that we would only have 90 minutes of the table, as we felt in a hurry and on cursing a bad decision from the office hardly jumped fair on the staff. my main meal was pork belly it was divine 10/10 my man had the rib and he was very happy with him cooked to his lust. I decided for the mont blanc from the festive menu for dessert it was such a disappointment 1/10 bought in meringue very small chestnut and saw chocolate drops that were more like what they melted down for tempting. cote should improve or take it from the menu. I have let the server know of my unmut, unfortunately I have paid the full price for it. our drinks were well made and the wee was excellent, the employees were very friendly and efficient, especially the cookies served. so close to getting 5 stars."

"Thoroughly disappointing! We booked at the hotel because there was a nice restaurant attached. We booked a table, when we checked in at 2pm we had our table booking confirmed for 6.30pm. Upon arrival to the restaurant it was all in darkness, a member of staff came to tell us it was closed after an emergency that had happened this morning and we could sit in the bar. The only tables available in the bar were low ones with big lounge chairs..not the seating for a meal! We don't go out very often so was planning on going all out with this meal, 3 courses, wine etc. Not at a lounge chair though. No one told us about the change to our booking. No one had reserved us a table in the bar. I went to reception desk where I was met with a very hostile member of staff who merely shrugged when I asked why no one had let us know about our booking. He didn't care. I felt really sad as like I said, going out is a rarity for us, and we were really looking forward to having a nice romantic dinner. Because of the lack of interest, and suitable seating we decided to get an Uber Eats delivered and had it in our room. Awful service. I presume the same kitchen produces the breakfasts in the morning.. which was delivered to our room over an hour late and stone cold. Such a shame as the location is stunning. Customer service needs work."

"Came especially for the vegan menu (I’m vegetarian as I heard good things about it. Drove from Lisburn all the way to Parkgate and had 2 very enjoyable nights. First night I had the cauliflower popcorn (bit too salty for my liking and the sweet potato roulade (amazing! . My husband had the soup of the day (very nice and the risotto (little bit stodgy, looked as if cooked too quick . For dessert I had the apple/berry crumble which was very nice and husband had sticky toffee (also gorgeous! . Decaf oat latte’s at the end sealed the deal. Just delighted to be able to order a good decaf coffee! Next evening returned with a friend. I had the salted chilli stir fry (verrry salty, but that’s what it says on the tin and the cauliflower pie. The pie was a bit of a let down. The gravy was overbearing, essentially, the whole dish tasted of gravy. I would have preferred to get it in a dish on the side (like with the roulade to add the amount I prefer myself. Same desserts again this evening, both again very nice. Service was ok, young girls mainly and you could tell some were a bit inexperienced but that really didn’t impact us. Food came out super quick! I will def be back, altho I won’t be ordering the pie again and I hope next time I will be able to try the “scallops” as they were sold out both nights (sat 6pm and sun 7.30pm and they just sounded amazing! If your hesitating to go for the vegan menu, don’t!! It’s the best vegan offering I have encountered to date. I really hope they keep it up."

"We had an afternoon tea here this week, and it was absolutely perfect! They offer all the British classics, served in an elegant setting by very professional and friendly staff. I couldn't ask for more if you're looking for a lovely afternoon in the heart of London. My favorites were the hearty scones and the rich, dense chocolate mousse cake. There's so much delicious food at a very reasonable price—I can't recommend this place enough!"
