"I was recommended this place by a friend from Dubai. They described it as a great dining experience with a classy party vibe. I was very impressed with the entire experience. I had read some mixed reviews about the place and was a bit unsure whether to book or not, however the experience exceeded my expectations. When I arrived I was pleasantly greeted by the security staff and then the receptionist was also very polite, who even offered to take a few photographs of us at the entrance. Inside the DJ was amazing. And the waiters were very relaxed and assistive. We felt no pressure to order quickly or leave at the end of the allocated time slots. The food was decent, and drinks were great. I will definitely be coming back soon."

"I heard about Joe Allen from the LBC radio presenter Steve Allen (no relation) so was very excited to try the restaurant with my friend for her Birthday. From the outside (and from when you walk in) you feel like you 're actually in New York with the American flags and exposed brick/dark wood décor and the traditional American fare on the menu ranging from BBQ Ribs to Grilled Salmon and Italian style meatballs in tomato sauce. I also have to mention their amazing desserts (we shared a delicious and very naughty Chocolate Brownie Sundae) and were tempted by the superb sounding cocktails. If you 're looking for a really fun and great value for money experience then I 'd highly recommend Joe Allen. Big shout out to our lovely waitress who looked after us so well and even kindly arranged for a surprise Birthday Ice cream with candle for my friend 's birthday."

"We would really appreciate more Vegan options. There was only 1 option, which is boring and seems without passion. At least a Vegan burger, not mushrooms sliced on top of each other, but a proper Vegan Burger. There are so many Vegan options why not offer a selection? The atmosphere is great."

"I want to start with a positive one. The staff and the surface were impeccable. They were friendly, knowledgeable and so efficient. That said the roast was really disappointing and we expected much better at previous reviews. The meat both the chicken and the beef was really dry and boiled over. The Yorkshire puddings were all burned and looked at other diners, they were and no one ate them. I love Yorkshire puddings so that it was disappointing. The cauliflower cheese was sloppy and overcooked. The gilded vegetables were nice and the roasts were not bad, but for the price we were disappointed. I would recommend for a pickup with friends and some drinks as a nice pub, location and brilliant staff, but avoid for a roast."

"We came here a while back for a drink and the service was awful. I didn’t actually know I was booking the same place when I reserved to dine. I would like to say Louis, the guy who served us was so so good! Good service is VERY rare these days and he has totally changed my mind about Joe Allen. He was professional, super friendly and very efficient. We had the best time and the food was great too, thank you,"

"The venue is lovely and the staff are friendly. I have dined here many times before, but the last couple of visits have been disappointing. On both occasions, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive and ended up leaving before eating. More recently, they had run out of all vegetarian options except for Fish and Chips, so unfortunately we left again without eating. Despite these recent experiences, I have had great meals at the Coach in the past and would still recommend them. However, I will be sure to double check the menu options before going again."

"I had one of the worst dining experiences that I actually told reception and the manager. I booked and got there and was told just sit anywhere! No menu was given to me and the wait staff disappeared. I had to put my had up a few times and verbally ask if someone could please get me a menus. Then it was a wait to order which I didn't mind so much as they usually give time to decide. My meal came and it was very average huge pieces of smoked salmon just layed over the top of the Caesar Salad but it was ok. Unfortunately that was the last that I saw of any staff members. I was there for 8pm booking until 9.39 and no sign of anyone asking if I would like dessert or even the bill! I had to go walk to the bar and wait (no one there either) to pay. In hindsight I could have just walked out! As a solo traveller it makes me feel like I my custom is not wanted. I know taking a table for one means less money less ordered but it shouldn't be made this obvious that it's not ok to be single. I usually tip big but not this time. Will not be staying there again"

"The staff were all lovely at No. 15 however the bar need to keep on top of the wine menu. We ordered an expensive bottle (it was a celebration! and they didn't have it in stock, but it took them a while to figure that out. A more expensive bottle was substituted at the same price, which was a lovely gesture, however the staff need more training in how to serve expensive wine (temperature and tasting etc . The menu was super interesting and seasonal and the food tasted lovely. There was a lot of kale based veggies given the season though! The dining room is the basement, but accessible via lift and is light, but cosy."

"We were celebrating and decided to visit The Boatyard. Upon arrival greeted nicely, shown to our table. We placed drinks orders, unfortunately there was no choice of non alcoholic beer or mocktails. The bar tender was able to fix up some virgin mojitos. We placed orders for starters and mains. Food arrived, but for some strange reason our mains arrived before we had even had our starters delivered to our table. We cancelled the starters and decided to have our main. Food allergies were mentioned to our server but unfortunately they got this very wrong, not impressed. We had no cutlery, napkins, no mention of condiments. Quite promptly a Manager/Owner arrived to try and rectify the situation and apologise for the blunders. The food was amazing but it's just a shame that the service didn't follow suit. We were offered our dessert as a gesture of goodwill by Management which we greatly appreciated. This was our first visit to The Boatyard and would like to return. the four stars is for the lovely standard and quality of food."

"A chain with some character, Le Pain serves up great coffee and authentic French sweets and pastries and a mean brunch/breakfast option. I've stopped at Le Pain for coffee and croissants in the past, both of which are excellent at reasonable prices and accompanied by free wifi should you be interested. The real winner here though is the breakfast boards; there are a number to choose from but as an example you can opt for The Angler which arrives on a large wooden board and includes a boiled egg a very generous serving of smoked salmon with capers a wedge of baguette two slices of soft bread fresh cream cheese choice of croissant/pain au chocolat/pastry selection of jams choice of hot drink fresh orange juice granola parfait At just under 16 pounds this is a late breakfast option that will satisfy even the hungriest customer. It gets quite busy though, so don't expect much attention from the servers and you'll inevitably end up a few pieces of cutlery short. If you don't mind that it's worth a visit, and if suggest sharing a few boards between you as one per person is really far too much food!"

"We decided to try this restaurant for the first time because we are considering moving nearby and wanted to check out the local dining options. The experience was great, with some unique menu items like the hähnchenkatsu burger that we had never tried before and absolutely loved. The dining room was cozy and the service was excellent, making us feel well taken care of by the friendly team. The atmosphere in the bar area was lively without being intrusive to the dining room, and the overall value for the price was definitely worth a return visit."

"Wandering around Soho we walked by Le Pain and decided to give it a try looks nice from the outside with all these bread put forward on display. Ordered some house Chardonney with olives to start with and then Pizzetta, Organic Lentil Avocado Salad and Prosciutto with Mozzarella on toast. All really good. House wine excellent for house wine category, olives with some spicy flavour, salad was fairly reach (variety of veggies inside), ham was tasty and only pizzetta could have been, perhaps, a bit warmer... Staff really nice and knowledgable about the menu, their advice should be highly appreciated. They're good. Overall recommended, really. Would have been 5 if it wasn't for this...read more"

"We had a lovely meal here while on holiday in the area. Our favourite of the three places we tried. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful, and the food delicious. The special roast pork was superb; my other half enjoyed his steak. We sat in the garden at the back, where the tables were well spaced. Felt very comfortable with all the measures"

"A very unimaginative menu. Lamb stew, fish and chips, hamburger. All things a moderate cook can prepare at home. Certainly not ‘creative cuisine’. A tasty shrimp starter but not a classic Potted Shrimp. This was explained, but why not call it what it is? Shrimp with onions and herbs. I chose fish and chips. Fish good, chips good, baked on plate one dollop of pea purée, not good. Partner had ‘grey’ duck. Uninspiring. Come on. Look through some cook books. People won’t mind paying the money if it’s imaginative, well cooked and served hot."

"I really enjoyed the food and the variety of choices offered at this restaurant. However, some of my pickier companions couldn't find anything that appealed to them. The service was friendly and the restaurant was bustling with activity. Some patrons seemed to be more focused on alcohol consumption, which added to the noise level at times. Overall, we were pleased with the food quality, portion sizes, and the attentive service from the staff."

"I enjoyed the food and variety at this restaurant. However, some of my pickier family members struggled to find appetizers they liked. The service was welcoming, and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. Some customers seemed to be a bit rowdy due to alcohol consumption, causing some noise disturbances. Despite this, we were satisfied with both the delicious food and the attentive service provided by the staff."

"A group of three of us meet here once a month or so and we always have a wonderful time, a delicious meal whilst being looked after by the fabulous Greene Oak team. The restaurant has a great atmosphere full of diners having a lovely time, there is no better way to spend a Saturday afternoon x"

"I am a HUGE Cote fan have gone on a regular basis for years with friends family in Glasgow London. Most recently in December Visited last night with friends was embarrassed as I chose to eat there booked telling them it was great tasty food, great value great wines. food was bland, not great, not a lot of it they only had 3 types of gin drinks were slow to come had to be chased on 3 occasions restaurant was only at best half full, so no idea why we had to continually chase drinks that did not arrive. I really don't enjoy posting this review as previously I have always enjoyed the food had a good dining experience liked the set menu a la carte choice. It looks like maybe the cost of living crisis has hit the chef recipes/ingredients/quality have dipped significantly. None of my friends had previously been to Cote so not a great experience for them on my recommendation"

"I was with a big work group. there is something for everyone on the menu, including a handful of vegan dishes. everyone ordered apps, so I got the vegan: brot and olive oil. it was, good, broth and olive oil. there were some vegan netzen; I got the crispy tofu with cousin. tofu was good, cousin was okay. be careful when ordering: the vegan product is only dinge from the vegetarian menu without yogurt or other milk products. So they need to ask for the vegan crispy tofu, not the vegetarian."

"Visited for a lazy coffee and brunch on Sunday morning to meet up with a friend. Staff immediately very welcoming and found me a table in the window to watch the world go by while I waited for her to turn up. Excellent coffee, followed by a delicious light brunch featuring tasty ham, lovely fresh bread and an ok but nothing special green salad side. Waiters were great and there but not pushy. Very good value all round."
