"After reading some of these reviews on Google, I had doubts but that day I was local so I decided to pop in anyway! Soon as I walked in I was greeted by lovely and polite staff. Manager is a true gent! He explained to me what was and wasn’t halal on the menu and answered any other questions I had. The salami and sausage are not Halal but everything else is. I was like no way! Authentic Italian ans halal?! Including the pasta and burgers! I was looking to only order a margarita and a veg pizza that day lol. The smell when you walk in... Wow, you know Tom and Jerry when Tom floats to the food, yeah it’s like that. Then they mentioned that they do “woodfire burgers” what?! I didn’t even know there was such a thing! That sounds amazing! So here is what we ordered: Fried Calamari £7.95 Butterfly King Prawns £7.95 Margarita £6.95 Pizza Pollo (chicken) £10.95 Spaghettini Bolognese £10.95 Cheese Beef Burger £11.95 Lemon Pannacoyya Tart £4.95 Chocolate Raspberry Tart £4.75 First off as I’m a sauce guy, the Sriracha mayo is incredible! I didn’t want to share this really! So just the heads up is you’re ordering with friends lol. The fried calamari and deep fried king prawns was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly but my favourite were the prawns. The woodfire pizza was also yummy! Highly recommend both Margarita and Pollo (chicken) pizza guys! So soft and flavoursome. They also have #VEGAN PIZZA! How awesome is that! I love pasta! Who doesn’t?! The spaghetti Bolognese was a comfort dish, slow cooked beef ragu and comes with parmesan there are not many places which do this dish halal. Incredible. Major points! Now the burger! I’ve found a new spot for a local burger! This was just an all round nice burger. I’ve not had one of these in years! Brioche bun, with a nice sized beef patty, lettuce, tomato and burger sauce! Highly recommend! The deserts were very rich, a little too sweet for me. The chocolate raspberry was a little bitter perhaps due to the dark chocolate but we still finished them both Lool! The lemon panacotta tart was the nicest of the two. See you next week Sole D’oro! For more food reviews and videos, follow me on Instagram @StaRemix I clearly love on there lol. I also have an IGTV Foodie Series Have a great day and stay safe. #palmersgreenfood #staremix #halalfood #pizza #italianfood #instagramfoodie #halalfoodie #foodblogger"

"I decided to check it out. The express lunch menu at Pizza Express offers a variety of tasty dishes for a quick lunch break. For those who enjoy sandwiches, there are piadinas - pizza dough pockets filled with fillings like Italian cold cuts or mozzarella. There are also smaller-sized pizzas, salads, and soups for a lighter option. Sides like polenta chips or rocket salad can be added to the meal. Prices start at £3.45 for soup and go up to £5.95 for the pizza pollo ad astra. Pizza Express on Queensferry Street is the closest location to me. When I used to work in the West End, I would often have lunch or dinner there. It was nice to revisit. We sat in the sunny winter garden, watching people pass by in their coats and scarves. It was one of those lovely Edinburgh spring days - warm inside behind the glass, cold and windy outside. The express lunch concept is designed for those who need a quick yet satisfying meal. It allows you to take a break from work, eat lunch, and get back to your day without spending too much time at the table. It worked for us - we were in and out of the restaurant in 40 minutes, having ordered, eaten, and enjoyed a coffee. I opted for the piadina, a crispy dough pocket filled with salad, mozzarella, and various Italian meats. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. My dining companion had the Veneziana pizza (without sultanas), which was the perfect size for a lunch portion. The menu also offers vegetarian, gluten-free, and light options. Overall, Pizza Express is a great spot for a quick and satisfying lunch. Take a friend, recharge your batteries, and enjoy a meal that won't leave you feeling sluggish in the afternoon."
