"authentic Italian restaurant that even aubergine in her pizza tastes delicious. I visited this restaurant twice for dinner after I inaugurated and the other time I had one. both of them were delicious. Personally I like these pizzas that you can eat with a fork and a knife and a good amount of cheese toppings and VIP pizza has delivered exactly the right one. I ordered vip burrata although it was delicious, but I felt the amount was less for two people. I also ordered a tiramisu that was a bit underwhelming, I tasted better tiramisu. the next day I ordered a simple tomato pata that was beautiful as they made home pasta. I also ordered something they called sandwich that was fine tasty, but difficult to eat."

"Went here for an impromptu meal for my birthday. The restaurant was empty 3 waiting staff and 2 chefs standing around. We were shown to our table and given a menu. We both have allergies and enquired about the contents of a couple of dishes, we asked if the meals contained onions, to which we were told they didn 't know the ingredients of the dishes. We asked them to check the chef and they didn 't know either. They said it 's all pre prepared and just shrugged. So we aim to order what could be best predicted not to contain onions. Cheesy garlic bread for instance , 10 mins later, I 'm served a dark coloured garlic bread. We try to find staff eventually we get someone to come over and ask what has been served, a cheese and balsamic onion garlic bread , and the manager stated I thought it was ' just you with the issue '. Honestly everything was too much bother, she was fed up when talking, huffing and thrusting a card machine at the end of the meal. No thank you nothing. Mistakes happen fine Mistakes with allergies can be fatal at least apologize. Customer service can go a long way to setting the scene. Dietary restrictions: Food is pre prepared and staff have little to no knowledge about the food they are serving. They didnt ask about allergies as per policy and when offered this information made to feel it was an us issue. They may be aware of common allergies I cannot comment) but beyond this they didn 't want to know. Wheelchair accessibility: There is only a step entry into the restaurant, so not accessible unless you could pull yourself up the step, the restaurant is quite roomy inside for maneuvering."

"Didn't know this place was even there. Very retro looking inside, like an Italian. Don't let that put you off though. Both the food and service were great. Our waitress was really nice and offered us the pre-theatre menu despite it being past time for it. Food arrived quickly and the portion sizes were really generous. After the good food and brilliant service we got another good surprise when the tiny bill arrived. We had three courses each and a bottle of wine for Such good value. We agreed we would definitely visit Azzurro again."

"Ordered the bbq pulled pork with cheese and parsley over chips. On receiving the food there was no bbq sauce,no cheese no parsley. Just plain pork and chips together. The dough strips was ment to be served with 3 sauces and only received 2 and the dough was extremely chewy. The bbq pulled pork pizza was plain and no taste,if there was a slither of sauce on the pork it was not noticed. Only recieved a refund of £12 and the order was £33. "We stumbled across this restaurant after attempting to get a table at ASK Italian, our usual haunt, only to discover they were taking bookings only. What a brilliant find. No fuss, just great, friendly service and really, really good food. The front window looked like it had been vandalised and awaiting repair, which could easily put people off (town louts! but it shouldn't. We will come back here next time we are in York. Can't recommend the delicious food and great service more highly. Could probably do with a little makeover inside but that didn't matter at all."

"Utterly disappointing experience. We had a reservation but were shown to a secluded area at the back of the pub, isolated in a brightly lit room. We placed our food order at 6:50 PM, but the staff informed us that they couldn't provide a children's menu as they were all in use. By 7:30 PM, we inquired about our food and were told there would be at least another 30-minute wait. That would have meant a total wait of 1 hour and 10 minutes, with three hungry children in tow. Not even the hummus and pita bread made it to our table. We were given no prior indication of the delay, leaving us to discover it on our own. Why couldn’t they have communicated this earlier so we could make a decision? And why wasn’t at least something from the bar menu offered? Perhaps a simple bread service? Frustrated, we decided to leave. Terrible experience overall. We won't be returning!"
