"Quaint restaurant which is clean and serves delicious food. We found the portion sizes to be generous for the pricing. We dined at the restaurant for lunch. We tried 2 pastas and the Bruschetta all the dishes were outstanding. They also have good deals on takeaway orders. My only critique is that the lady serving us could not speak any English apart from saying “no English” so we couldn’t ask about specials/recommendations."

"During my visit, I tried the Vegan Sweet Potato and Squash Chilli Burrito with a side of Curly Fries, which was decent. I also enjoyed two Mexican Gin and Tonics as part of a buy one get one free deal. I received £10 off my order for downloading the app at my table, as suggested by the server. The restaurant has stylish decor and friendly staff, but the food did not particularly stand out to me. While there are many vegan choices available, the variety is not as extensive as the meat dishes. It is advisable to review the online menu before dining here."

"We visited this restaurant last night, the first time in a few years. The service was good and friendly. The pate was okay, and the dough balls were also just okay. The calzone and mushroom risotto were average, while the gnocchi was okay. Overall, the food was nothing special. The prices were quite high, with beers costing £7.50 each and Sprites priced at £4.75. We ended up spending £162 for four people, including a bottle of mid-priced wine. We were not impressed enough to come back in a hurry."

"I haven’t had Thai food for a while and was staying nearby in the local area. The Blueberry looks like your typical country pub from the outside. Inside though, at the rear of the pub is Chor Muang Thai Gastro. This is more like it, authentic Thai food made by Thai chefs. What a delight to find a gastro pub in a sleepy village in the Oxfordshire countryside. I was seated at 6 pm on a Friday evening, as usual I never booked, just took a chance. Perfect timing as only one table was occupied, a party of five who were dining in the top far corner of the restaurant. For the starter, I ordered the honey pork marinated in coriander, soya sauce, palm sugar and honey. It came with a tangy chilli dip. For the main, the red curry with duck which had a rich fruity taste from lychee, pineapple, cherry tomatoes and basil. Sticky rice was the perfect accompaniment. Finally the Thai pancake with coconut ice cream and mixed berry compote sauce for desert. The service was excellent and the staff very professional, attentive and welcoming. I had Madri lager brought from the pub to my table. I was informed they also had bottles of Singha. However, I opted for the on trend lager of the moment. The ambiance, décor and lighting was perfect. The food tasted delicious, no need for details, just to say was faultless. As I was finishing my pancake, the restaurant was starting to get busy. Couples, families were being shown their tables they had booked. So it was perfect timing, for me to settle my bill and tip the waitress. I headed to the bar still holding my second glass of Madrid's finest lager. The staff greeted you with a smile and were very friendly. My only gripe was a large screen showing horse racing which nobody was paying attention to. A gastro pub like this is a place for conversation and banter. The screen just kills the vibe, totally unnecessary. Also two large red setters in the pub taking up loads of room. They almost knock customers over. It's very cosy, people were playing cards which I loved. Locals chatted on a large round table near the window and two twenty somethings sat on bar stools talking nonsense. A great start to the weekend, recommended."

"Well what can I say, here goes. We ordered food, after a wait they came back and said they never had risotto left so picked something else. When paying bill my daughter checked it and they had not taken off the first meal I ordered,so told them they came with card machine to take it OFF INSTEAD THEY ADDED IT ON so Payed £103 instead of £63. BUT BEST WAS THEY NEW THEY HAD DONE IT AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING DISGRACEFUL. NOW WE HAVE TO EMAIL THEM TO GET IT BACK. SO ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BILL ,SORRY IT WAS SO LONG. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE."

"We arrived at 8 o'clock and our drinks and starter were served within 15 minutes, which was good. However, we had to wait 45 minutes for our main course, which was not acceptable. The restaurant was not even very busy, so there was no excuse for the delay and no apology was given. The food was okay but nothing exceptional. The tables were too close together, making it feel like we were almost sitting with the people at the next table rather than with our own dining companions. Our table was round and wobbly, but when we mentioned it to the waiter, he simply said it was because it was round and didn't do anything about it. With so many other dining options nearby, I highly doubt that I will return to this restaurant."

"The service was outstanding! The owner personally came over to address all my questions regarding cross-contamination. The pizzas are cooked on disposable foil trays, which are thrown away after use. They took the time to explain that they make every effort to prevent cross-contamination by preparing food in a separate area of the kitchen, although they can’t provide a complete guarantee, which is understandable. They also offer gluten-free pasta on the menu, and the ice cream is fantastic! The only downside is the additional cost for the gluten-free pizza base."

"We booked a table for 4 at lunch time to have Sunday dinner, it was superb and it was the best Beef Sunday I've had for a long time. Because we booked the table over a week in advance we received free deserts for all of us so worth bearing in mind. They have a fantastic rang of drinks including a vast array of Gin's to try and we sampled a few sat next to the wood burning open fire in the bar area. It's a family ran local pub that is very welcoming, the staff can't do enough for you as I have to eat gluten free they even ran over to the local coop to get me some gluten free bread to serve me with my starter. Thank you so much for making it a special Easter Sunday dinner and looking after us so well. I'd highly recommend this for food or just a drink as its a lovely place to visit."

"I went to this restaurant last night after discovering that it had reopened on Friday night. The venue was beautiful, with a nice seating area where you can enjoy a drink before or after your meal. There is plenty of free parking available on the high street, so it's easy to get there. The staff and owner always give a warm and friendly welcome. There is a good selection of food and drinks to choose from. All three courses tasted delicious and were well presented. Overall, there is nothing to dislike about this place, and it is definitely worth a visit."

"This is usually our family’s Italian restaurant of choice to meet up at as we all like the food it’s conveniently placed. However, on Saturday evening just gone we experienced the family from hell right behind us they just took it upon themselves to shout and scream at their kids, let the kids bounce up down on the seating , run around and adults could not care less, with the noise just getting louder and louder. The staff didn’t seem to bother about it , and proceeded to shout at us extra loud to deliver our meals as they couldn’t hear themselves think with the noise !! And seemed to be annoyed that we couldn’t hear what they were saying ??? Erm …. So why get annoyed at us. My parents who are elderly really couldn’t wait to leave which is so wrong when it was a special birthday celebration Our daughter who needs special dietary requirements couldn’t be heard when she ordered and we ended up with a problem with her meal surprise surprise ! Because we were tucked around the corner at the back no one came to check on us and towards the end we couldn’t get any attention at all Then what a surprise, who is playing in the car park next to a very fast main road in the dark) , are the kids from hell who were behind us and there was a youngster who could have easily run into the road in the dark ! But no one was checking on them ! There was one young man waiter was particularly polite and helpful I must say who stood out . Thank you to him My mum left her meal which was a special which arrived on a sizzler plate as she said all the meat was tough and my dad said the duck was overly fatty The rest of the meals were fine Yes we left a decent tip as it’s what we do but it wasn’t an enjoyable evening"

"This small restaurant was bustling, with a line out the door even on a rainy Wednesday night, which speaks volumes. The pizza was delicious and the dessert was huge, luckily we had agreed to share it before it arrived. Overall, the meal was excellent, with a price range of £10–20 per person. The service and atmosphere both received top ratings of 5. We highly recommend trying the Tiramisu and 4 Cheese Pizza."

"We have now been here for two visits since a very average lunch a couple of years ago. I cannot speak highly enough of the management who were gracious and kind in the resolution of our previous issue. The dining room is now very well laid out and we had a great table by the window, overlooking excited trick or treating visitors. It was cosy, beautifully lit and very clean. Our service was friendly and welcoming throughout. The menu is diverse and meets dietary needs well. The food was served quickly and portion size was very good. The children enjoyed the activity sheet and we had clean plates all round. I am very glad to see the hard work and conscientiousness of Jess and her team paying off. We will certainly be back."

"A great concept..Pizza in a very large wigwam..what's not to like. Lovely place to eat with a great atmosphere to it. Fire pit in the middle and electric heaters on the outside tables...you won't get cold. The pizza was some of the best I've ever had..thin crust base with great toppings all cooked to perfection. I can definitely recommend the Foccia garlic bread as an extra. ...and to top it all off a good selection of local beer, IPA, Cider and also a wine menu. We'll be back...."

"pizzas were really delicious and authentic. takeaway was ready in time and was nice and warm. looked on benches in the park near the restaurant in the early evening sunshine to enjoy them. the accounting process was a faff and quite frustrating. call them early the Facebook page said....rang around 9 o'clock, 11 o'clock and 11.30 o'clock to try what seems to be limited pizza options in the opposite. I had a message at 12.30 to ring to say I called. no answer. then some called back and forth when they worked through the list of calls. could end up with 3 pizzas. the restaurant would highly recommend organizing the booking system for the summer. you don't really want to spend most of tomorrow with booking!"

"Service is top-notch! Our drinks were served quickly, probably within 10 to 12 minutes, and you could hardly tell that the staff was busy. Now, let's talk about the food—the highlight of the experience! The quality is outstanding. I had a Neapolitan pizza, my partner enjoyed a calzone, and our daughter had a child-sized pizza. We ended up needing a takeaway box because we were so full! The pizzas were fantastic, thanks to the wood-fired oven and high-quality ingredients. They even offer gluten-free options. The menu may be small, but it’s not a drawback—it allows for a variety of choices, including appetizers. We will definitely be coming back! The Blackburn Family"

"No complaints from me! The food was delicious and importantly it was nice and hot. I used to be a chef in a 5 Marriott hotel and I enjoyed the meal. These are just some constructive comments for you to consider: Just a tiny little bit of greenery in the form of some salad leaves etc, served with the calamari would be a beautiful touch. The calamari itself was wonderful but… Very ”same-ish” and repetitive. Just break it up a bit with something else (a tiny amount) on the plate. It’s an 8 starter approx and you can do that without massively denting your margins. the seabass main dish that we both had… We thought was fantastic… So well done to chef Luke! Personally, I also appreciate the generous touch of providing me with a few more potatoes. I am a one diabetic and I know when I looked at the plate having injected, the very small amount of potatoes that were originally provided would not be enough for me…. So again I appreciate our lovely waitress Liga and Chef Luke combining to bring a more normal portion of the same potato dish so that I could eat it with my meal. Finally we were first seated in a booth… But unfortunately this was right underneath one of the speakers that played music. I asked the first waitress that had seated us if the music could be turned down. She told me that unfortunately she had no control over the music level. I think this needs to be changed as in the end we had to be moved… Music should be distinctly in the background and not invading your meal experience. It was too loud and also in my opinion not gentle but way too lively… We had come for a meal not to a nightclub! These are just constructive feedback points that I hope you will take in the spirit that they are intended. Our waitress was Liga. Now she is an absolute asset to your company… she went out of her way to accommodate us helped us to move tables when the music was too loud and sourced the extra potatoes for me for my main course. What I liked about Lea was that she treated us like individuals… Not just a number. She was personable and professional throughout a great ambassador for Zizzi And she deserves to be recognised for this. She made the meal experience the best it could be. Thanks Liga from Latvia The food tasted great. I’ve only given three stars rating to the atmosphere as the music didn’t help and there was I think only two other tables in the whole restaurant with us so it was a neutral atmosphere during that time. But we both enjoyed it and we will be back. Happy to discuss if you have any other Qs. Regards, Kevin p.s. not on your list below but we both highly recommend the Sea Bass dish. Perfecto !"

"The pizza was bland, tasted like plastic and was freezing as it came out, The chicken and mushroom pasta had absolutely no taste and had to eat it with another persons dishes cheese which was the only nice thing about the meal, the dish with the cheese had zucchini fritters which had absolutely no zucchini in at all and was just batter in a pot. On the same dish the arancini was cold but again like the pasta tasted good with the melted cheese. There were 3 waiters on shift as we walked in to the restaurant and just before we ordered our starters one had finished his shift, for the rest of the night there were 2 waitresses. I can't believe the amount of things that were wrong, cold or just plain disgusting about the dishes or the way the staff had to run a restaurant there was tonight. Thank you to the waitress that took the pizza off of the bill and took all of our orders tonight, hope you enjoyed your tip xxxx"
