"Service is top-notch! Our drinks were served quickly, probably within 10 to 12 minutes, and you could hardly tell that the staff was busy. Now, let's talk about the food—the highlight of the experience! The quality is outstanding. I had a Neapolitan pizza, my partner enjoyed a calzone, and our daughter had a child-sized pizza. We ended up needing a takeaway box because we were so full! The pizzas were fantastic, thanks to the wood-fired oven and high-quality ingredients. They even offer gluten-free options. The menu may be small, but it’s not a drawback—it allows for a variety of choices, including appetizers. We will definitely be coming back! The Blackburn Family"

The restaurant is small but offers fantastic pizzas! It's the best pizza I've had in a long time! My only wish is that they had more varieties of red wine; they only have berry and chalky options.

Friendly staff, nice little venue been a couple of times over a two week period after discovering it and liking it so much. Pizzas nice, tasty and good quality. Cheesy garlic bread pizza is also lovely. Very garlicy but tasty.

Parking is convenient, as there’s a large area behind the restaurant that also serves the nearby shops, including Morrisons. Families are also welcome; they have high chairs available for little ones. The dining experience is enjoyable as well!

As a regular in 2019, a change of job sent me 150 miles away in early 2020. I hoped WFD would still be as good...it was better! Fabulous service, fabulous atmosphere, fabulous food. Thanks Mark and the team for making my return the highlight of a weekend in Yorkshire View menu

Tonight was my first time at wood fire dine and I really enjoyed myself. The food was amazing the atmosphere was amazing and the staff were amazing. We had Dee and Izzy looking after us and they did an amazing job and we’re so cheerful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

the best we had in old. the arancini and nduja teigbälle were to die and the pizza was as always excellent. holzfeuer dine remains always better the large food is supplemented by friendly attentive service and a cozy environment. we are happy that this is right in front of our doorstep, but I would not hesitate to travel for this amazing pizza.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The pizza was delicious, and I highly recommend visiting for a satisfying meal. I was particularly impressed with the Margherita Pizza. The dinner cost around £10–20 per person, and there was plenty of parking available, although it's paid street parking. Overall, it's a wonderful place to enjoy good pizzas for a long time! Excellent food, atmosphere and staff! One of the best pizzas I’ve tried! I like how big and rustic the building is and the lighting’s really nice too! We ordered our food at 7:20 but didn’t arrive until 8:10. They did have 3 large tables to serve before us, and unfortunately only 1 pizza oven. It was at least 30degC in there too. But when the food came it was amazing! I can see why they’ve been winning awards!

We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The pizza and arancini were absolutely fantastic. While the menu isn’t extensive, if you’re looking for pizza, this place is hard to surpass—even compared to options in Italy! The staff was incredibly friendly and clearly enjoyed what they do. We even had the chance to meet the owner, who shared a brief history of the restaurant with us. Overall, it’s a lovely place, and I will definitely return with friends.

"Have just visited this restaurant for my partners birthday and have been completely disappointed with our experience. I booked a table for 12 people well over a month ago. We arrived at 7.45pm and we were not even acknowledged by a single member of staff. We had to ask for a drinks order at 8.30pm. I then had to go to the bar where 3 members of staff were polishing glasses to ask for a food order at 8.45pm. The waiter asked to take our starters order and then said I will put those on and then come back to take your mains order. Again we were forgotten about. Eventually are mains order was taken. Our food arrived at 9.30pm. Not once did we get an apology regarding being forgotten about. We were the last table in the restaurant at 10.15. We all wanted desserts but felt very uncomfortable by staff just standing watching us. When the waiter brought the bill over we asked for some discount on the bill as we did not get an apology or even a check back throughout the whole experience. Only to be told that it wasn’t possible. Eventually he said I will take £30 off the bill! Considering are bill was nearly £350 I thought this was disgusting. The waiter eventually said he realised he had taken to long for the order to be taken. We asked to speak to a manager and there wasn’t one and then asked to speak to an assistant manager and again there wasn’t one. So who actually was running the restaurant that evening?? Safe to say I will not be returning back to this restaurant and it ruined our evening for celebrating a birthday with close friends"

"I had a lovely stay at The 'R ' Inn and was welcomed personally by the Manageress from the roadside when I couldn 't find the location due to me misreading the Sat Nav! When I arrived fairly late (21.00) the bar was open and I was shown to my allocation by the same lady. I had a lovely very clean, tidy and well made up little room, which was adequately stocked with tea and coffee making facilitiies, widescreen TV, a shower and lots of clean towels. At first, I was worried about the temperature with the single fixed window, as it was quite a warm evening when I arrived but the powerful and quiet free standing electric fan did an equal job to air conditioning and I slept like a log. My only issue was I couldn 't work out how to change the channels on the TV remote, so I watched several episodes of 'Everyone 's talking about Raymond '! There is adequate parking at the rear, of the building, which has a security floodlight. Despite being located in a busy little village, it was very quiet and I would definitley visit again and the 'R ' Inn comes highly recommended for those travelling light. Need a place to stay? We R inn! Rooms: Small but well laid out and good use of space Safety: When the front desk was un-manned, clear instruction were given by the use of signage, although I did misinterpret the night time entrance! Walkability: Right on the high street with shops and pubs! Food drinks: Just what you would expect from a low budget hotel Noteworthy details: Very reminiscent of the fully automated hotel structure in France"
