"We ordered take out for fish and chips on a Friday night. We waited 30 mins infront of the shop we signaled to the staff a few times that we were right in front of them to let us know when our food is ready....Not only did the food sit on the side while we waited and have to ask multiple times for our order, the staff was incredibly rude when I asked for extra tartar sauce. They insisted I pay 40p for one satchet and I told them I can only pay with card (not carrying cash, esp during the pandemic) they said there 's a £5 minimum and nothing else. Terrible service, long wait, rude staff. There 's plenty of other delicious fish and chip places on the same street."

"I have been a patron of this restaurant for 5 years now. Most of the staff are friendly, but one staff member in particular stands out from the crowd - his name is Simon. Simon always greets me with a smile and sometimes even gives me a warm hug, making me feel very welcome. Sometimes I am indecisive about what to order, but Simon always guides me in the right direction and helps me choose from the diverse selection of food. I highly recommend trying his sausage with a touch of chili sauce. If you are looking for great food and enjoy engaging in lively discussions about politics, then Panchos is the place to go. "Terrible customer service, sent out chocolate cake with no use by date or lable showing ingredients. When I phone was told by manager that next time I ordered he would credit back my £6. When I phoned was told had to order £20 so that they could give me this back. Original order only cost £16. Manager would not even come on phone to speak to me. Will never order from them again."

"I would give this restaurant no stars, if possible, or even negative stars. We placed our order using their app, which did not allow us to make any modifications. Our order arrived after an hour and 20 minutes, despite being told it would only be a one-hour wait. The pizza was flavorless, the burger meal deal did not come with the drink or chips, and the burger itself was described by my boyfriend as tasting like "seasoned cardboard" - horrendously bland. My mom's chicken kebab only had three pieces of chicken in the entire pita. My dad had to go pick up the missing chips himself because the delivery driver was unavailable."

"After seeing advertised that they had won best fish and chip shop in Sussex we had to try. We've lived in Chichester for years but rarely eat fish and chips, but we decided to on this occasion. We can see why they have been voted the best! The fish was crispy and chips. The kids loved the nuggets! "I have been to this restaurant before, but I was very disappointed during my recent visit. They were out of a large number of items, including steak, halloumi, and cheesecake. They also got my order completely wrong and the dishes were not served as listed on the menu. The sauce was watery and over-seasoned, and the burgers were greasy and poorly presented, which may have been because it was the end of a busy Mother’s Day. Overall, I left feeling let down."

"Worst fish and chips for years. Ordered 3 cod plus 1 haddock and 2 large chips. 1 cod badly overcooked with batter burned and fish nearly solid. Other 2 cod slightly overcooked. Haddock perfect. "We have been frequenting this restaurant for fish and chips for many years. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have left us rather disappointed and we will not be returning. While the chips and batter are still delicious, the main focus of the meal - the fish - has not met our expectations. The fish has not seemed very fresh on multiple occasions, a problem we never encountered before. Additionally, we have received questionable portion sizes when we ordered the "large" fish portions. The Chinese cuisine remains excellent as noted in my previous review, but the fish and chips have been a disappointment. It's a shame."

"My Dad was diagnosed with coeliac disease over ten years ago and has often said the only thing he really misses is real fish and chips. I saw the advert for the Master Fryer’s gluten free lunchtime on the first Saturday of every month and...thought we would give it a try. I ordered GF for all four of us so there was no chance of us mixing up which was which. I thought we would ‘suffer’ the GF so Dad could have a treat. I needn’t have worried! Every item was clearly labelled and the batter was amazing! Really wouldn’t have known it was any different to ‘normal’ fish and chips and Dad was absolutely over the moon. Thank you Master Fryer, we had a lovely family meal and Dad got the meal he’s been longing for for over years. Will definitely be back next month, though might have to order slightly less as the portions were huge!!"

"Very tasty food for a reasonable price. Paid online for collection at 8:00pm, was 5 minutes early to be sure. Had my food bang on 8:00pm and was out the door. Shop is well kept, staff are friendly and the food was great! Might be back again soon, thank you! Edit: Revised my review based on wait times, have currently gone through the roof yet Deliveroo, Uber Eats Just Eat orders are flying out the door. If you make an order online yourself or walk in seems to take forever to get anywhere. Orders usually ready waiting on one small thing such as a gravy or sauce but never seems to get made. Edit Edit: Revising my review once again. Contacted back about my complaint above and have since given them another chance. Seemed to be a combination of new staff and some staff absent at the time I went. Absolutely bang on if you go in a quiet period."
