"Really enjoyed our visit to Munch following the change in ownership and would highly recommend it based on our dining experience. Lovely staff, great service, warm atmosphere and a delicious meal. Though we only had chicken crunchies, burgers and fries everything was served served hot,...fresh and and to a very high standard. The burger was the best I’ve had in a very long time, the chicken crunchies superb and the accompanying salad and delicate dressing delicious. Will definitely be ordering a takeaway during lockdown and ask others to support so we can dine in again as and when they reopen. Nice one Munch, thanks!"

"book this place through 5pm.com for a bite before the theater. we were shown on our table, which was in a narrow corner against another with other diners. server produced the menu and despite the 5pm offer of 2 curses with a glass...prosecco for £16.99, it showed that almost every option a addition fee was created. we were appalled to find that our glass of prosecco was a dimble-full (not sure where they found such small glasses). we stared with the minenstrone, which was added more like a dose tomatensuppe with a little veg. we paid extra for the branzino and more for a few riders to accompany this. when the food arrived, the fish was tiny, overcooked and cold and the bed of the Mediterranean veg, on which it was sitting, was mainly red. my daughter ordered a cocktail that never appeared. we asked for the bill, at the time when one of the diners from the neighboring table turned their head to me and said we should disappear here before they bump more into this corner. when the bill arrived, we were appalled to find that our 5pm 2 cursor offer at £16.99 per result was a bill for over £46. warned, people."

"Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"We were a party of 16 friends who shared a set menu of starters, pizzas pasta. The whole evening was super great staff who were pleasant, knowledgable patient with our large party. An amazing variety of food delicious served with beautiful presentation care. Gluten free diets were easily catered for nothing was too much trouble. The puddings, coffee wine flowed we were under no pressure to leave at all even at 11pm. This really felt like a restaurant where the owners are present at the heart of a great team. "Booked in here for Tuesday 24th April evening when the weather was rubbish and I had the holiday blues so didn 't want to cook and the added bonus of a Groupon voucher to use also swayed my decision. Parking isn 't great to start with and I 'd guiltily parked outside someones house down from the cinema entrance : We entered for them to address us quizzically and claim that even though I 'd called earlier to book us in with my Groupon voucher reference they had nothing in the diary.. We were seated anyway at a very small table squashed right up at the back we had to 'bump ' passed 3 other tables which I found quite rude to the people sat down. We had no sooner got our coats off picked the menu up then we were pounced on to take our drink order efficient maybe or just a bit too eager? We ordered a bottle of red wine anyway not the house which I thought was a bit steep for a basic wine! and it was brought quick as a flash they then expected us to be ready to order we had only been in the place 8 minutes! The waitress was sent back to us and we ordered the meat antipasti to start, followed by the Gnocchi for me Lasagna for the Mr. We were brought a bread basket when the wine was produced however the butter given was solid clearly not to be used!The bread was nice and fresh though. Again, i didn 't even get a sip of my wine before the food was placed in front of us had it been pre prepared sat waiting to be ordered? The starter platter was to feature ' A selection of Italian meats and cheeses served with artichokes, olives and homemade bread ' the only bread we had was from the initial bread basket and I wouldn 't call 2 olives a selection! The meat was good quality but we felt a tad disappointed overall. We then had to wait 15 minutes for our main! My Gnocchi was nice, if a little bit bland, so I needed to be a bit over generous with the seasoning myself it lacked a bit of bite to be honest but the portion size was good. My Mr didn 't have may complaints for the Lasagna other than it could do with a bit more meat! maybe just a man thing! While we were eating, the close proximity of the tables to each other caused a few 'moments ' with the waiters a full portion of chips lost down the back of a diners chair and a bottle of beer knocked off the table when his bum stuck out a bit much in squeezing passed! Not really what I want to watch when having my dinner. We asked for the bill and sat for nearly 10 mins before I got up and went to the counter to ask again they were in no rush to get it paid either so we took the bill to the counter and paid there. I can see a lot of people are impressed with this place and go back on a regular basis I 'm not won over after this visit however. the tables are too close together the service is either too eager or too laid back where is the happy medium the beer wine list is a bit pricey the menu descriptions are a bit over zealous or they need to actually deliver on the description the food lacked seasoning. From when I observed during our meal, they are not short of business and do a good student trade. I 'm not sure for the 'professional ' couple however they have the right service/food/price quality balance I would be looking for to go regularly."

"On the plus side, the service was very quick, but it made us feel rushed. As soon as I finished my meal, they immediately took my plate, even though my partner was still eating! When they cleared our starter plates, they asked if we wanted our main courses right away or if we preferred a break. Assuming our food was freshly prepared, we opted for a wait of about 10 minutes, but to our surprise, they brought our mains out within 30 seconds. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, which included a drink, a starter, and a main course. It was not the relaxed dining experience and fresh food we were hoping for! Since it does tend to be busy during the day, perhaps the food and service are better then, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for dinner."

"We visited the restaurant before attending a show at the Royal Albert Hall. The food was very tasty and authentically Italian. The pizza especially was the best I’ve had anywhere in the UK and the puddings, chocolate cake and tiramisu, were also exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great, especially from our waiter Yassin. The only (very minor) negative was that as the restaurant became busier, it became very noisy and hard to have a conversation. Could do with a bit of sound-proofing! Regardless, I would definitely recommend for a great Italian meal."

"This is the finest Italian dining experiences I have ever had. Before I mention anything about the food, the service provided by Dina was incredible. I felt as if she treated us like old friends and nothing was too much to ask for. Thank you!...Her colleagues were also great hosts. The menu itself offers an excellent variety of dishes, many staples of Italian cuisine like Carbonara but also many unique dishes. They have a lovely specials board too which I ordered from I had the oz T-Bone steak and it was heaven! I highly recommend the Arancini aswell!"
