"The restaurant was very busy with a number of potential diners, I suspect members of tour groups staying at the Hotel, seeking tables without prior bookings. This made difficulties for hard-pressed restaurant staff. The food was excellent and the service good. There was a decided buzz about the place. The menu was typical Brasserie style with a reasonable choice but nothing you could not get in other mid-range establishments. Clearly, the offer is popular but a little more imagination would not go amiss. The offer is good value for money, the Prix Fixe being especially well priced. The dry-aged rump steak was outstanding. As someone who, for medical reasons, is unable to touch alcohol, it was especially disappointing that NO 0.0 alcohol beer was available. I had no option but to have a PepsiMAX. I wonder how Jean-Christophe Novelli feels about this inexcusable omission!! All-in-all my party had an enjoyable evening and will probably return but please think of those unable to consume alcohol by adopting a 0.0 lager and, may I suggest, the very popular Guinness 0.0."
