"We stumbled on this restaurant after a long hike. There isn’t any parking at the restaurant but we were advised to park in the pets world retail park and it was a 5 mins walk to the restaurant. Decor is simple nothing fancy. Staff were very friendly, attentive and social which makes a huge difference to the experience. Food was surprisingly good. We ordered channa puri and mixed grill for starters. For mains we had chicken jalfrezi, tandoori prawn masala with rice and naan. Lastly for dessert we had cardamom tea and kulfi ice cream. Our favourite was the channa puri, jalfrezi and the naan which was freshly made. The kulfi ice cream was a nice finish to the meal. The other dishes were okay but nothing really to write home about and we may be a little tougher considering this is our home food. We have made allowances for the fact the restaurant needs to cater for its locals such as sweetening up some of the dishes with cream and coconut. They also made space for my husband to pray which was a bonus. Unfortunately they do not take American Express but took debit card payments. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would come again."

"I recently dined at this new restaurant with my wife and son and was highly pleased. The vegetable dish was fresh and crispy, the tandoori chicken was delicious, and the other dishes were also excellent. The beer was cold, the staff was very polite, and the service was quick. We will definitely be back. It's worth noting that the restaurant is only open for lunch from 12 to 2:30 daily. However, there seems to be some confusion regarding their operating hours as the menu and website may indicate otherwise."

"Went into the shop on a Tuesday evening ordered 2 milkshakes and 2 slices of cake. Waited 20 minutes to be given it and then to get home and find the lids of the milkshakes upside down in the top ? I rang them to find out why the lids were upside down inside the milkshake and the person I spoke to said that’s how they seal properly in transport? The cake had been shoved into the box and half of it was on top of the box lid. Worst place in banbury Then said that was it and hung up."

"Missing AND incorrect items rude staff; I ordered through Just Eat, and we were missing a naan and was given onion rice instead of garlic rice- the rice even had ‘On Rice’ written on, and I tried it to be sure- I called up and the man was very dismissive, told me he cooked my garlic rice and was obviously put in the wrong box, I then said I’d tried it and it didn’t taste of garlic to which he mocked me and said ‘garlic rice doesn’t taste garlicky?’ And was very resistant to correcting the errors. So rude and I won’t be using again. They certainly are no more than 3 stars and I wish I’d checked trip adviser before as it seems to be a common theme! The man on the phone also told me to keep the wrong rice and he’ll bring me a new one- the same man who is apparently not only the food cooker, phone answerer AND delivery driver then asked that I give him the incorrect rice when he got to my door- which was near enough untouched. Shocking customer service. Avoid at all cost."

"Back in my 'day ' (the late 80 's, 90 's and early 2k), Blackwood Rd had the usual town/village shops. Walks to school including a stop at Taylors News for sweets, chippy tea, hair cut, pharmaceutical support... Roll on 30 years later, and something that could have come a lot lot sooner (when I was walking the streets, on my way home after a night out at the local public houses when turning '18 ' in the late 90 's) there is a restaurant. An indian restaurant. Visiting parents, as now live in Lincolnshire, and they took me here... Service; fantastic, very personal, great conversation. Location; 'hidden ' away, and parking could be an issue if early doors. Drinks; unlicensed, so BYOB. Wine for me. Food; when 'testing ' an Indian restaurant I will always go with the chefs/restaurants 'own ' Jalfrazi. If its good, I know the rest of the menu will be good. Lots of experience here . No complaints from parents, nor myself. Price; absolutely spot on for portion size. Lamb Tikka Sylheti Jalfrazi. Not over powered with chilli, just a nice warmth on the back of the tongue, perfection. As well as the starters, all was beautiful. Highly recommended, and parents say take out/delivery is spot on too. Those that know me, you know I like my curry. If i say its good, its very good. "After using cinnamon spice for many years, last nights service was appalling. 4 hour wait for a curry ordered at 6pm via their website paid for in advance. Many calls during the evening and reassurance given even at 7.30pm informed it was being cooked clearly incorrect misleading information. After an evening of multiple calls to the restaurant having the phone just ringing out, calls cancelled and text messages unanswered I did speak to the restaurant at 10pm they still were giving excuses the curry was being cooked totally unacceptable. A family evening spoilt without even the courtesy to call us and inform us of a 4 hour delay. I dread to think of people who ordered after 6pm when or if their food arrived or was it just ours that was forgotten. The restaurant should not accept orders they cannot deliver in a timely manner and if a delay is above the informed time of delivery the customer should be informed at least then giving us the option of sourcing the families evening meal elsewhere. We are still awaiting a refund which was not processed last night as promised, again very disappointing when the money is taken out if the bank immediately refunds should also be prompt. A family evening ruined by incompetent organisation of a takeaway service which surely was anticipated to be busy, even more disappointing as the food us usually very good but significantly let down by the operational management."

"30th August made a order online. I had already paid. I wondered what was going on as i havent heard anything from this company, then finally get a message rejecting the order! I rang up asked for a refund and why my order was rejected, the person I spoke too was nice and to ring the 3rd party as they took the money. I then get a phone call back I will get refund by end of day. I recieved nothing, next day I phoned up he was nice again told me that he will get in touch as soon as he knows something and apologised, My partner went to the shop without knowing I had already called. This man showed a WhatsApp message that havent been seen by curry hunter which I throught is very unprofessional. I phoned up again on monday he said can I get back to you. Tuesday this time it was the brother of the other person. He was very rude he made me cry down the phone, told me that his brother told me partner that I will get a refund in 2weeks which was a lie, he was shouting at me wouldnt letting me get out what I had to say he. I then get a text message from the person I was talking to before saying it's not for them to give me the money that curry hunter needs to sort it out not them. I then had a phone call from the manager from curry hunter manager very nice and understand they told me how things are meant to work and how mazza has dealt with me and this situation is very wrong. He told me I will receive this refund tomorrow if not to call. I got nothing I wouldnt rate this company at all never had a problem until now will not be going back EVER!!"

"The food was incredibly delicious and fresh, bursting with flavor! While there was a bit of a shortage on the meat content, which was heavily sauced, this was easy to overlook because the taste was fantastic. The staff were friendly, but I expected a bit more engagement since we were the only customers in the restaurant at that time. I noticed that during the meal, a worker who had a noticeable cough wasn’t wearing a mask, which was concerning. Additionally, frequent smoke breaks during their shift meant that when they returned, there was a lingering smell of cigarettes. Despite these issues, the food truly stood out, making it worth a visit in any case."

"We had dinner on Weds 3rd August at Swadesh in Lordship Lane London as a wedding anniversary occasion with our two teenage children, who love Indian food. The dinner was delicious and I would thoroughly recommend the food. However, the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant was inauspicious a dull exterior, rather 'caf ' than 'cafe ' interior and we were the only customers. "We were there for my mother’s Birthday the service was so so slow they took mins just to take the order We left after hours mins and only had two courses. We were a group of arrival also had children with us. The staff are friendly but would not go back on a Friday or Saturday as the priority is to take away customers with their orders rather than diners in their restaurant. This is such a shame we have been many times before and it’s been fabulous. Don’t go in a large group especially over the weekend. Still have to say the food was fabulous once we got it."

Past 5+ deliveries (due to lock down otherwise we’d have been in the restaurant have been wrong with either bits missing or wrong orders. Called again after usual popadom onions and sauce missing and told that these wasn’t ordered so our fault. Explained these have always been included and told not their problem and hung up. On the lookout for new place. Certainly won’t be there again"
