"on the positive side the food was decent enough, not great, but perfectly ok. The organisation, however was shambolic. No answer from initial booking enquiry seven days ahead, done by email to the address on their own website, or then via the contact form on their website, or by phoning their number. Really poor, and when I told them I got some nonsense answer about them losing access to email for sometime, and that I must have phoned during their afternoon break (which I hadn’t, as showed them on my phone! , and even then you’d maybe expect a business to have voicemail or even an answer phone to take messages! Poor response from them. Surroundings a bit tired, male staff uncommunicative, menus had sellotaped message ‘add £1 to all prices’ no differentiation between something previously £15 or £5, just a quid added to anything. Completely understand price rises to meet inflationary cost increases, but what a random way to do it. Despite advertising alcohol free beer, and on menu, was told they didn’t in fact do it, which was particularly irritating to one in my party who had let its availability influence our choice of restaurant. Well, that and everything else has influenced us, we’ll not be back I’m afraid, there are several excellent Indian restaurants in Stirling (like Green Gates, Mint Leaf which I’d recommend you go to instead."

"disappoint. we only visited there over 2 years ago when we rented a holiday home in the village and had some nice meals there, but it has changed a lot. should we have recognized when we first arrived, as the man at the bar was very scary looking, unraveled unironed filthy shirt . I ordered suppe with brown brot when it appeared, it had white brot, but nothing was said, so I had to call the girl when she went to the left to ask if it was a mistake and got a teppich. the suppe proved to be unusable, it was so salty and the brotstall, so I sent it back and had to wait to be brought to me for an old menu. an alternative that was less than average, but at least edible. After our tellers were cleared, we were not offered the Dessert menu that we planned, so abandoned the bill and went to dessert elsewhere."

"The mixed grill at this restaurant is too expensive for the portion size. The lamb chops had an odd flavor and were quite small, with only 2 on the plate. The accompanying chips were very small, more suitable for a child. Overall, the meal was not worth the price paid. Additionally, the separate order of small chips was undercooked and the chicken steak had a rancid taste, making it inedible. I was very dissatisfied with my meal overall."

"Top service and good quality eating at affordable prices. I made a pick-up order by deliveroo for a chicken balti panini, unfortunately there was no chicken balti left and so I decided to take place for the lamb balti panini. the brother at the time gave me a free keks and a cornflake tea, although it did not need to say as a kind of excuse, although I was happy to get a lamb balti instead. it is rare to see this type of service and care for a customer and it is definitiw something that I appreciate as most Diner owners would not care and they would just ask to have something else. the fact that the brother went out of that and gave me something without second thought or even I asked, means much and I was happy with the service on both. the food was hard and would come back at a certain time. if they are in the opposite check for every case they, thanks young"

"First visit to this pub as it was equi-distance for meeting friends for lunch. Excellent hot, fresh, home cooked pub food, beautifully cooked and presented. Lovely atmosphere in the pub with a roaring fire. Staff were very friendly and happy to give us a break before ordering dessert. Would definitely recommend and visit again."

"'Highly recommend this place, stopped in for some much needed nourishment on a very cold and windy day, I had the sticky bbq porkbelly bites with these crackling crumbs sprinkled on top and a cabbage slaw which was exquisite presentation and lovely flavours all round. The food came out very quickly too then I had the king prawn and chorizo linguini which was again well presented and full of flavour. Place seemed a little bit empty and couldn 't understand why with such beautiful surroundings and great food too. A lovely open fire welcomes you on the way in too and very cosy. Will definitely visit again..... '"
