"Words simply cannot do justice to this establishment. The ambience, the food, the service were nothing short of perfection, and I utilise that term very deliberately. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable, charming and funny without ever being ingratiating or false. The a la carte menu was excellent, and our food I had Dover sole and my wife had the lobster risotto, preceded by the oysters and canapés was sublime. The whole experience was unforgettable, the history and sense of refinement is truly palpable without ever seeming forced. It was an experience, and one my wife and I are keen to undertake again at our earliest opportunity. It is luxurious without seeming pretentious or unattainable. We aren’t oligarchs, captains of industry, movie stars or the landed gentry, and that mattered not one iota, the staff were unfailingly warm and attentive. There is a very clear reason Claridge’s has stood the test of time, and long may it continue to do so."

"Great location and excellent outdoor area. Love the food and the beer selection is good. I just wish the service was more consistent! On a fairly quiet afternoon we were scraping for service, at one stage being told to “just order at the bar” by a staff member, even though it was table service. A couple of staff were chatting at the bar at the time ignoring us... Previously been very attentive!"

"Tried different blends and strengths of coffee according to the mood and fix required. From strong to beautifully smooth lattes, the staff here do listen and can get your coffee just the way you like it. Always a great selection of lunchtime meals to choose from. Great seating options as the place is deceptively spacious. Can get very busy around 2pm with the local Student Brigade, but it's cool and has a young friendly vibe. Sometimes the music? can be a little loud and most of us do have headphones these days. Overall a relaxing experience. Fidelscastrol."

"we have booked this long for our breakfast, so we could be sure of location, before our pre-ordered visit at the point of view at the shard. we were early over the place was empty and the dame working behind theke gave us a rather cold look at the arrival, so we think that the place was not really open. but the meal itself was really beautiful and plentiful. we found the atmosphere quite cold, but this could be the time of the day we arrived, it is a clean, modern caffe and certainly fits to a pleasant meal for anyone who wants to visit the shard or near."
