"In general, my experience at the restaurant was positive. However, I have a small complaint. When I called to confirm if the venue was dog-friendly, it wasn't clearly communicated to me that dogs are not allowed in the main restaurant. Besides this misunderstanding, I had a very enjoyable experience."

"Eaten at The Gun a few times. Always had a good meal, lovely at Christmas aswell. Nice variety on the menu. Definately recommend the Roast dinners on sunday. All in all a nice pub, with a very nice garden to sit in, in the summer. Staff are friendly and accommodating."

"We arrived at the time we had booked, they didn’t have our table reserved so they tried to seat us on another terrace, not the one booked. We asked to be seated on the upper terrace and they managed to seat us but they were very obviously annoyed, and a little rude. Ordered starters and mains which all came out together and when we said we ordered them as starters and mains were told “well that’s not what the order says” they sent them back and whilst we were eating our starters they asked us 4 times if we had finished. Hey presto when the mains came out they were very obviously reheated. There was hot salad on my plate! All the food was going to the wrong tables, wrong orders, the table next to us waited an hour for their drinks. Starters were lovely, mains were not. We ordered more drinks which they got wrong twice, so we left straight after eating what we could. To sum it up an awful evening, almost amusingly so, as it was chaos, the staff minus two lads working were rude and the food was kept under a hot plate. We won’t be returning such a shame as it’s a beautiful setting. One word of advice to the management please ask your waitresses with really long hair to tie it back, there was hair everywhere and we could hear other people saying the same!"

"There are some places that you know of but never actually visit. Hombres Mexican Cuisine is one of those places, located directly in front of Rayners Lane station in London. When our friends asked us for a suggestion for a Mexican dinner, we quickly decided to give it a try. The Mexican atmosphere is evident in every aspect of this place. The walls are adorned with Mexican wrestling posters and Mexican hats can be seen everywhere. The chicken wings in traditional sauce had a delightful tanginess to them. "We found this place by a quick search on Google maps ahead of seeing a show at the Palladium theatre. And gosh am I glad we did find it. When we arrived at 1800 we were advised that they needed the table back by 1930, which was perfect as that's when our show started. We promptly ordered a watermelon cocktail and then everything vegetarian on the starters and small plates menu. Tacos, sliders, edamame, tofu lollipops and cauliflower wings. Everything arrived really quickly. And it was all so delicious. My favourite was the sliders, followed closely by the cauliflower wings. The whole experience was perfect and we'd ordered the right amount of food, leaving feeling super satisfied. Would definitely recommend visiting here."

"It’s totally empty, no other guests. Even though we’re the only ones there they do not pay attention to us. You sit at the VIP nightclub tables so it is very sticky and not pleasant. Their menu is limited and the food is not particularly good. No flavors at all. Do not recommend going here for dinner."

"This charming little spot has great potential as a venue for live performances. It just needs some tender loving care, which I’m sure the owners are planning to implement. The restaurant area would greatly benefit from dimming the bright lights and incorporating more fairy lights to create a cozier atmosphere; this would also help to disguise the wear and tear that can be more noticeable under harsh lighting. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and I genuinely hope they find success. Whitley Bay could use more diverse dining options for everyone to enjoy. It’s becoming a fantastic place to spend an evening out, steering clear of the rowdy vibe that South Parade used to have."
