"fantastic restaurant, we strolled along the mile and thought to try ziya asian grill and can honestly say we ate the most lively, delicious foods that we ate in a very long time, the restaurant was busy, very fast and I can see why. the staff was so friendly and welcoming and the open kitchen looked immaculate, with a chef who gave us a hearty wave and a smile. we will return definately, do not skip starter when they were the stars of the show"

"Saturday morning, called in for a desi breakfast. Uncharacteristically slow and chaotic service today. They just need some more staff to help them keep on top of the orders. Long delays, incorrect orders, stressed staff doing their best. I felt really sorry for them. The food was nice as usual , but the owners need to invest in having more staff. It is a popular place. But people won’t keep coming back if the delays are as long as this!"

"All 4 dishes were stunning. The scallops were so sweet and enhanced by the delicate sauce. The prawns were succulent and meaty and the salmon was moist and fragrant from the beautiful blend of exotic spices. Gomezadams is not a fan of salmon so I sat there, like a cat in a fishmonger, hoping to snatch his salmon. Alas, he ate the whole thing with delight, much to my chagrin. My favourite dish was the soft shell crabs! Sweet but spicy, soft but crunchy!"

"Food was amazing as usual, however Valentines night was clearly overbooked and several people walked out. Staff were overworked and apart from the main course, just dumped food on table, without describing dish from tasting menu. Staff need to be trained better. Music too loud, was turned down which was good. Music played was some weird acoustic rock mix. Surely more relaxing/indian music would be better. We have been here 3 years in a row for valentines but will consider somewhere else next year, which is as shame as food is lovely."

"Indian Vegetarian point of view 3.5 actually.. The taste is definitely somewhat authentic but toned down in terms of spices.. The ambience is good.. My only problem with it is the price.. Too expensive for South Indian food given that we get it so cheap back home .. The service was good and quick.. Preparation was also up to the mark.. Good place to answer your cravings for South Indian food in London if you are OK with the price and working/visiting the near by areas.."

"We used to use this restaurant every other week but unfortunately the service has gone down hill very quickly. Ordered a take out for 7pm it turned up an hour early with no explanation why. We had to microwave it to warm it up as some of family had not arrived. Then we ordered our 2 usual dishes last night and they sent a completely wrong order. When we called them we was told well we sent you a dearer dish so you shouldn’t complain? That’s simply mot the point the wrong order went straight in the bin. So sad we won’t be using these again we have other options to use take ours that get your order right every time and deliver on there promise. If you like eating food you have not ordered then this is the place for you"

"My brother and I were looking for a restaurant in Reading to take our mother for lunch on Mothers day. I went for the Royal Tandoori because of the reviews and booked through open table. My brother went to check out the restaurant after I received confirmation of my booking and was told that there was no record of it. They took a booking from him. Staff were pleasant and accommodating even though we arrived very late for lunch and the kitchen was about to close. The food and service were good but we felt rushed. I referred to the booking I made but they maintained that there was no record even though I showed them my email confirmation. I would recommend this restaurant but to avoid disappointment, double check your booking before you go."

"with immense pleasure I write this review about chaiwala. they live totally on the names of the restaurants. it is really far from our place like 2.6 miles, but we always go to the place as it is a pre eating excersia for us. it is a small place not too big, but only enough to give them the taste of their day! what should they try here if they eat non veg then they must try all the dag breakfast it is the best in the world and they can it in breakfast / midday / evening it is not too heavy or light. my classic is 'karachi bun kebab ' it is super tasty, they can 't resist. we came to tea, we tried almost everywhere to slough, but we just couldn't get the feeling of Indian tee until we tried here. that's just the heaven. we have seen how people also go for halwa puri, we are still trying not to mention that the staff is so helpful and recommend them really good eating after their taste. so long history short. visit here when they come by and enjoy the food and tee."

"SERVICE: We were running late for our reservation and they took the time to get our order before we arrived as they called us to inform us about last orders times etc. When we finally got there, they were so lovely and accommodating. FOOD: I ordered the Railway Curry and my friend got the Prawn Jalfrezi and Garlic Naan; we both got pilau. The food was very good— and this is a lot considering I have my own catering company and can be quite picky about flavours and textures! The portions were great and I even got to take a small amount home, only to absolutely devour it immediately I got in! It was some of the best Indian food I’ve had. "The portion sizes are quite decent and offer good value for the price. I did find the naan a bit small, but that’s a minor detail. I would love to see a Tandoori option on the menu, though I understand that local preferences might not lean towards Tandoori dishes. "It would have been stars across the board but for the noise level from a party of that arrived whilst we were tucking into our main course. No fault of the restaurant as business is business and recovering from the pandemic, the management and team at Sai has worked extremely hard to service the clientele…it was just the fact we needed to shout at each other to hear ourselves that knocked a star off for me. "This was our first time in this restaurant and the food is good but the 3 course meal is exceptional you can choose any starter any main and any rice or bread then ice cream which we were not interested. I love the chilli paneer main oh yummy and lamb dumpling is best garlic naan car better then supermarket. King prawn tikka masala was bit sweet which I was not expected. Ambience is okay but clean and tidy restaurant with attentive service. We will come again but to try different dishes in 3 course meal. We enjoyed our evening than you."
