"First time to Asha’s, and it did not disappoint. Service was second to none, everyone was polite and smiled. However, could have been 5 stars if cocktails were tailored to requirements. Food was great, the desserts on the afternoon tea menu were too sweet and could have been choice of Indian desserts. Overall Asha lived up to the hype I expected and I will be back again."

"This restaurant was once a popular destination with locations in Mumbai and London. They used to also have a location in New Delhi. Unfortunately, the restaurant has not kept up with the times. The decor is poor, with dirty carpets and food on the floor. There were only two waiters for the entire dinner service. The food was overly salty and the Naan was not prepared in a traditional tandoor oven. My family has visited the locations in New Delhi and Mumbai and were expecting a similar experience in London. Sadly, we will not be returning."

"the third time when eating in social dhaba, great atmosphere, beautifully decorated, personal was really friendly and polite. they've checked us a lot, but not intrusive. eating was delicious, but as always we had ordered some appetizers and they were all quite spicy, even for the chili lovers of our party. we drank a lot of boundless water. Please note that it is not ideal for younger children who cannot tolerate cold heat. but social dhaba I am back!"

"I recently dined at Maaya and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I feel compelled to share my feedback to shed light on the issues I encountered during my visit. First and foremost, the behaviour of the staff was highly unprofessional. I was taken aback by their rudeness and arrogance, which left a sour taste in my mouth from the moment I entered the restaurant. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and dismissive, lacking the basic courtesy one would expect in a dining establishment. It is essential for a restaurant to prioritize customer service, and the behaviour I witnessed did not meet even the most minimal standards. Furthermore, there was a severe mistake with our order. We had ordered eight starters and eight main courses in total, but to our dismay, the staff mistook it for four main courses in total, instead of 4 main courses on each table, and started behaving extremely rudely with the ladies. They were trying to intimidate the ladies into ordering more dishes that what was required. Additionally, the service at Maaya was exceedingly slow. From the moment we sat down, it took an excessive amount of time for the waitstaff to approach our table and take our orders. The entire experience was plagued by long waits, which further exacerbated our dissatisfaction. Due to the aforementioned issues, my companions and I were left with no choice but to cut our visit short, which unfortunately disrupted the planned meeting we had scheduled. As a customer, I had high hopes for Maaya, but the overall experience fell short of even the most basic standards of hospitality. The combination of rude and arrogant staff, the mistake with our main courses, and the consistently late services left me deeply unsatisfied. Dining out should be a pleasurable experience, but unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit to Maaya. I sincerely hope that Maaya takes this feedback constructively and addresses the issues I've highlighted. Improving customer service, ensuring order accuracy, and streamlining the service timings are essential steps to regain the trust and satisfaction of diners. I hope to see positive changes in the future because every customer deserves a pleasant and memorable dining experience."

"We sat in one of the pods, which were fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. However, we had to wait an hour and a half for our starters and nearly an hour for our mains, which was quite excessive, especially given the high prices. Despite this, we will definitely be returning and have recommended it to everyone we've talked to, as the food was truly that good."

"I was very disappointed with my meal. The Veg Sharing Platter, which the manager recommended, was not impressive. The lamb and seekh kebab were served cold, and the other items were merely lukewarm. Overall, it wasn't great. The service, however, was exceptional; our waiter was fantastic. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, as this place seems to be overrated. Additionally, we were charged for mogo chips that were never delivered, and now we have to wait for a refund."

"Food taste was great hence it has 4 stars but its the overall experience let us down. The portion was really small. We had starter and main course and found that the portion was too too small. Even portion of rice is not enough for 1 average person. We also found that we were rushed with our starter as they had main course prepared. And table was so small and too close to each other. It felt like we were at a fast food restaurant. So overall dinning experience was poor."

"First time at Tapasya so.... Booked for a Monday evening and as expected, and like most restaurants, will always be quiet, however, three tables covered so some 'atmosphere ', the staff were very attentive and friendly, and the food really was delicious. Unlike most Indian restaurants the menu is quite small, so they can make sure each dish is very good and freshly prepared. The web image is for 'Indian fine dining '. Yes, it certainly seems to be! I haven 't tasted Indian food as good as this for a very long time, nor had napkins placed on my lap in any Indian restaurant! The waitresses just glide up to your table and replenish your drinks without you realising they have been there. Will definitely return in the near future, good stuff."

"I have to start by saying how the staff are always smiling. They 're friendly and have some great recommendations. Moving onto the food, we ordered the chaat platter, chilli paneer and prawns from the tandoor clay oven. I was disappointed by the paani Puri it lacked the tang and explosion of taste you expect, instead it had a very bland and lacked flavour. However the rest of the items on the platter were absolutely fabulous!! Fresh, crunchy, tangy, tasty, flavourful. Everything you expect from a chaat platter. I could have ordered another 2 (without the paani Puri) The chilli paneer was one of the best I 've had! The tandoor clay oven prawns were perfectly cooked and had the right amount of 'tandoor ' taste however the marinate flavour was lacking. Mains veg Kolhapuri.... Oh my gosh!!!! No words can describe how amazing this was and how is it was possible to make veg taste like it did!!! It was absolutely divine!!! We ate it with garlic naan, that too was fab.. it was rolled to the right thinness and had the absolute perfect amount of garlic and butter!! An absolute treat. I should mention as we ate others sat around us on other tables just couldn 't stop complementing the foods they had ordered! So I 'm definitely going back to taste the other items! Desserts gulab jamun and pistachio kulfi ... At first glance the gulab jaman looked lost in the bowl it was presented in, the syrup was way too thin and the 2 balls were too small. However, the taste.... I don 't think I 've had better. Some improvement required in the presentation and with the syrup .. but the taste 5 5 .. amazing! The pistachio kulfi I expect frozen... But ... We couldn 't dig in... Waited almost 25 30mins for it to soften ... Once it did once again the taste was everything you expect... Another 5 5. However does require some thinking to ensure the customer doesn 't leave with a brain freeze instead of the flavoursome taste. We enjoyed multiple drinks including mango lassi, lemonade and mint tea all of which were fab.. even the mango lassi was the perfect consistency however it comes with ice which when melted affects the taste of the lassi (server should ask if the customer would like or not I wasn 't given an option) I 'm going back!! And I definitely recommend!!"

"been after mailand a couple times and always loved eating there. but this last time it was quite disappointing for us. we were a group of 10 people and although in agreement with the guy who hired the order, but what was served us was very different from what was actually ordered. the service was delayed and that was on Wednesday night. we just went on eating because it was late. did not cost it very much."

"We made a reservation through OpenTable, but our payment wasn't taken off the final bill. This was disappointing and has shaken my trust in OpenTable's booking system. I would recommend making reservations directly with the restaurant instead of using OpenTable. I no longer trust them!"

"Being a local, it's great having a dessert place nearby. The major positive is that the food is actually pretty great but the poor customer service and very stingy portion sizes take away from it's appeal. I ordered brownies with chocolate recently costing around £7, the chocolate provided was a tiny shot glass worth which wasn't enough for the brownies given. I asked whether I could get more chocolate, even offered to pay for a chocolate shot £2 more) but instead got turned away and was told if I wanted more chocolate, I'd have to buy the whole dessert again. You'd think they could spare a bit more chocolate for a customer of 2 years. I now go to Heavenly Desserts whose food is just as good and far better portion sizes. Service is far superior too."

"We were looking forward to our dinner at Woodlands in Hampstead yesterday evening after a fantastic meal in their Marylebone branch and a delicious take away from them but we so disappointed. The restaurant was totally empty which was more than strange for 8pm on a Saturday evening. They continually made errors in our order, I ordered from MY vegan menu, that they had given to me but they brought our dish with yoghurt saying I hadn 't made the order. They brought a salty Lassi after my friend asked for a mango one. My friend was very specific in asking for a mild spinach curry and was served a dish that was so hot my husband couldn 't eat it either. Then to finish off two of us asked for a Chai tea with NO sugar, well as you can imagine, it was sickly sweet. On top of all of that, they didn 't change the cutlery and at the end of the meal they left the table covered in food. The food was good, some of the dishes at least, the vegan Rogan Josh was just Jackfruit in a basic tomato sauce, I didn 't realise that was a Rogan Josh, or is it not?We didn 't pay the service and on exiting the restaurant the manager turned round and commented, "Well, you can 't please everyone "Don 't quite get that comment, were we just expected to take what we were given and pay?"

"CeCe Peniston's hit from the 90's Finally started blaring in my head as I tucked into my delivery from Mumbai Delights. At long last I found an indian restaurant in central London that delivers reasonably good indian food. The samosas, punjabi style, looked like they were actually made at the restaurant, the most importantly there was a good masala flavour in the potato and peas inside. The seekh kebabs, these obviously contain no colouring whatsoever, they were plump and juicy and had obviously just come out of the tandoor, they tasted mild, with a subtle hint of spices, I prefer my seekh kebabs a bit more spiced up, but honestly these were making me think one word while eating...read more"

"We were greeted with papadoms and a variety of sauces including chutney, mango, pickled achaar. The large mix grill had a variety of meat with kebab, chicken, wings and lamb chops which were tasty. Tried the lamb karahi, chicken karahi and ghoust saag. All curries were flavourful with a decent amount of spice, which I enjoyed as it was a good level of spice for me personally. If you are a fan of spicy spicy food, this probably won’t hit the spot. Best naans I have ever had! Recommend opting for these. They are amazingly soft. I loved the mango lassi, sweetness to compliment my meal. Chips were over fried. Beautiful interior, clean toilets and good customer service."

"A group of friendly women run this cozy vegetarian restaurant that does not serve alcohol. The menu offers a unique twist on traditional Indian dishes. The food was tasty, but it would have been better if served in properly insulated containers to keep it warm. They also have a nice variety of desserts that you can buy and take home with you."

"I would have rated this restaurant with five stars if it weren't for the inconsistent service. Initially welcoming and efficient, the service lagged significantly once the restaurant filled up, suggesting they were understaffed. A particularly disappointing moment occurred when we requested an egg that was part of the set menu. While the waiter was accommodating and assured us it wouldn't be an issue, he later returned after consulting with the manager, who denied our request, stating that we could only have it if we ordered the set menu. I found this puzzling, as we were willing to pay for the dessert. Overall, this wasn’t a major issue, but I expected better customer service and a more hospitable approach. Additionally, I ordered a tea that they forgot about, yet it still appeared on our bill, so it's advisable to double-check the bill before settling."
