"I recently dined at Maaya and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I feel compelled to share my feedback to shed light on the issues I encountered during my visit. First and foremost, the behaviour of the staff was highly unprofessional. I was taken aback by their rudeness and arrogance, which left a sour taste in my mouth from the moment I entered the restaurant. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and dismissive, lacking the basic courtesy one would expect in a dining establishment. It is essential for a restaurant to prioritize customer service, and the behaviour I witnessed did not meet even the most minimal standards. Furthermore, there was a severe mistake with our order. We had ordered eight starters and eight main courses in total, but to our dismay, the staff mistook it for four main courses in total, instead of 4 main courses on each table, and started behaving extremely rudely with the ladies. They were trying to intimidate the ladies into ordering more dishes that what was required. Additionally, the service at Maaya was exceedingly slow. From the moment we sat down, it took an excessive amount of time for the waitstaff to approach our table and take our orders. The entire experience was plagued by long waits, which further exacerbated our dissatisfaction. Due to the aforementioned issues, my companions and I were left with no choice but to cut our visit short, which unfortunately disrupted the planned meeting we had scheduled. As a customer, I had high hopes for Maaya, but the overall experience fell short of even the most basic standards of hospitality. The combination of rude and arrogant staff, the mistake with our main courses, and the consistently late services left me deeply unsatisfied. Dining out should be a pleasurable experience, but unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit to Maaya. I sincerely hope that Maaya takes this feedback constructively and addresses the issues I've highlighted. Improving customer service, ensuring order accuracy, and streamlining the service timings are essential steps to regain the trust and satisfaction of diners. I hope to see positive changes in the future because every customer deserves a pleasant and memorable dining experience."

Great ambience, the service was quick and the food was good. Although the portion size is small for the price but it did taste nice. The staff is friendly and really looks after you well. Halal

Best traditional in food I have had. I admittedly do eat it as much as I'd like but everything was just delicious. I was a bit skeptical with the rating here but I wouldn't worry about it if I were. The service was a bit rushed but could be also be perceived as extra accommodating in my opinion. Cheers!

Overall rating 4.5. Had a very enjoyable time here on a busy Saturday night along with kids. Vibe: 5/5. Decor 5/5. Food taste: 4.5 I recommend trying the Malai Chicken, Lamb Curry and Butter Chicken and the Lacha Parantha). Drinks: 5/5 an excellent Pina Colada and love the trolley of brandies and whiskies brought over and served at the table after dinner). Service: 4 a mixed bag of excellent waiters and a waitress who was a little rude). Extra requests were all handled with ease too. We would go back when in the area. View menu

This is a Seven chilli chicken, with mushroom pilau rice and Chicken 65. The price as others have mentioned is not cheap, though portion wise this is a decent portion for a meal and could probably have fed 2 people. The taste was delicious and it tasted fresh and home made. So I guess the moral of the story is that it will be expensive, the portions aren't bigger because its expensive, but the quality is delicious. This was a delivery so cant comment about in restaurant experience, but will absolutely order again from Mayaa. You know its expensive before you eat in so I don't see how this is a surprise to anyone really. I do wish they did a chicken jalfrezi to taste how the dish would be mad...

The atmosphere at this restaurant is nice, but everything else falls short. The staff was not polite when my group of 8 people visited to celebrate my birthday. They seemed unhappy that we did not have a reservation, even though there were plenty of empty tables on a weekday. The food was average, and I have had better Indian food at other restaurants. The portions were very small, not enough even for one person. The food looked fancy, but the taste and service did not live up to the expectations. We asked if there were options for a larger group, but the staff could not make any suggestions. When we kept ordering to compensate for the small portions, the staff became rude and told us to ord...

The food at this restaurant was fantastic and satisfying. I truly enjoyed the dishes I ordered because they were flavorful and spicy. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, with dim lighting that created a relaxing atmosphere. There was plenty of space and seating available, so I didn't feel crowded by other customers. The decor was also very nice and clean. The service was friendly and attentive, and I never had to wait too long to get someone's attention. The restaurant's location is a bit odd, but it's near The Hub so it's not too difficult to find and there are options for drinks afterwards. Parking is available, although it's on the other side of The Hub, but not too far away. If yo... View menu

We visited this place to enjoy a good evening meal, however the place and the food did not match our expectations. The staff handling our order wasn't polite and humble at all. Our preferences for food make overs were not well answered or would say they were answered rudely. The portion size of starters does not match the price we had to pay. We order grilled king prawns and cottage cheese, the portion did not justify the price we had to pay. The cottage cheese starter was just tossed in sauces with veggies, which actually had no flavour. The main course was fair but again the butter naan was found under cooked with minimal butter and all the main courses tasted sweet, whereas we had request...

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant tonight. The staff was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was relaxed with a great vibe. The restaurant was well-decorated, clean, and classy. I arrived just before closing time and the chef personally served me, starting with a delicious samosa. It wasn't because they were short-staffed, but rather as a gesture of pride and love for their craft. The chef's skills, training, and talent were clearly evident. The samosa was perfectly crisp and tender, the best I've ever had. The garlic naan was delicious and cooked just right, warm and soft. I also enjoyed the spicy butter chicken with Jasmine rice, both made fresh and generou...

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: Β£20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
