Just wonderful in every way. The ambience was impeccable perfect for our dinner. A night to be remembered.. thank you to all the staff from us all. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan and Jane Watling-Read"

"Visited for Sunday lunch with our family who had stayed with us over the weekend on their road journey up to Scotland to visit my son in law's parents. They were as impressed with the Yellow Broom as we have always been on previous visits. The ambiance was just right and the food delicious we all look forward to our next visit."

"looks like old paris rich bistro, which must have been really popular in the 70s, what they are looking for when they go to colbert. I have not tried much of the food and will certainly go back because the personal and the atmosphere were really pleasant. beautiful, in the bar quite some time with a good old fashion. the madeleines were hearty and tasty and the eierroyin were also really nice when they arrived. I will recommend if you miss france in london or if you are looking for a piece france in london"

"Was looking forward to our “boozy brunch” booking but was told when we arrived that this offer was not an option on Sundays. On closer inspection it does say this on the website but when we booked our table it let us book this option so this was not our fault. Our server was understanding of this and willing to still let us have the offer as this was clearly a booking system error but then who I can only assume was the supervisor or manager came over and was very rude to us about this and made me show her step by step how I booked it despite showing her a screenshot of my booking already. She then disgruntledly said “I guess we’ll have to let you have it then” and seemed angry which was unpleasant and made us feel uncomfortable and like we were to blame for this. However our server came back and was lovely and very attentive! The food and drinks were nice and good value with the deal and I’m sure general ambience would have been better had we not had that initial experience"

"I walked past this restaurant on a SAT around 5pm, seeing the poster for their custard tarts. I waited it open but they were fully booked on that evening, then I could only get a box of tarts for taking away. They are absolutely beautiful! Making me miss my holidays in Portugal! Finnaly we booked in advance to visit this restaurant. We ordered lots of small dishes as we wanted to try everything. Calm, tiger prawn, squid they are all lovely! Pork lion and ribs are beautiful too! The Game Sausage, we highly recommend. It is so different but the mix flavor just gorgeous! Dessert are great as well, my almond tart lavender ice cream is unforgettable. It is the first time I had a lavender ice cream, definitely a lover! The service is brilliant! Quick service and we are well looked after! I will definitely come back again! But book in advance"

"the growing opulence of South London has stretched to "trendy' streatham with new, high cost esseries, among which is this tapas bar with many backend sessions this place is gorgeous. great atmosphere, excellent (and charming) service and fantastic eating. I can't speak for the a la carte menu (yes,) but the tapas is very good, and the waiter has suggested how many dishes were enough so that we don't get over. by the way, timeout is correct that the ratatouille is a steh dish. also the sardines are highly recommended. garlic mushrooms were seasoned by solid portobello, properly baked, pimentos pardon tender with garlic, both the patatas bravas ad chorizo were plentiful cut for all plundering in the tapas, the salat was unexplainably flat, properly cooled, but not much more, and the patatas mutes lacked any seasoning in tomato sauce... also good value, with tapas for two and a bottle of wine come to £60, which is quite respectable by london prizes and worth every penny."

"Waitresses are really nice, every table has a small bell that you can use to call a waiter. Food is delicious, nicely thought, vegetables in salads are fresh. Maybe it's just because of the covid situation, but they clean the table as soon as the group that sat there leaves. I've read some reviews here and I've seen that people think portions aren't big enough, especially if you take price into account. I do think the salad was expensive, size was fine, but it was a bit expensive. Chicken was completely fine, size was great and price was ok. I'll definitely eat here again, this is a very good place. Good salad, even if it's a bit expensive, is better than a bad salad."

"I ordered the lobster roll, which consisted of four small pieces of lobster, some crushed avocado, and two or three tiny pieces of tomato with thinly sliced onion, all of which felt quite dry. There was no sauce or dill as mentioned on the menu, which gave the impression that the restaurant was cutting corners on quality. On the positive side, the strawberry tart was better and beautifully presented, but it too was very dry. I also tried two different types of cocktails, and they looked and tasted exactly the same. When I asked the bartender if he had accidentally made the same drink twice, he assured me he hadn’t, but there were just too many issues during our visit. While the restaurant's decor was stunning, the quality of the food and the service left much to be desired."

"Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The food was overcooked and it took twenty five minutes to bring a bottle of wine, with two people having to crawl into a cupboard to find it. The wine arrived after we had finished our starters. Using the toilet was a very unpleasant experience, as it was in a disgusting condition and unflushed. After quietly pointing this out to one of the chefs, they apologized and cleaned it. The waitress then informed us that it had been cleaned. We were taking my son, who is at university in Leeds, out for dinner as he loves French food. Despite the nice staff, it was a horrible evening and we would not return to this restaurant."

"I visited Putney Canteen to meet my friend Danielle Kinsella for brunch a few weeks ago. I had heard about this place on Zomato and wanted to try it out. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast, which included 2 poached eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, a vegetarian sausage, a hash brown, spinach, and toast. I was disappointed that the eggs were overcooked and not runny. Despite this, the rest of the breakfast was a good value for the price. We also shared the delicious banana pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. We sat near the kitchen and enjoyed reading more about the restaurant."

"The food at this restaurant was excellent, but there were some details that were lacking. After having a fantastic experience at a Gaucho brunch in 2020, we decided to come back for another visit. The food was once again delicious, with some minor improvements made to certain dishes that made a positive difference. Unfortunately, the drinks were a bit disappointing. The quality and quantity did not meet our expectations, especially when compared to our previous visit. The drinks were not as full or as flavorful as before, which affected our overall experience. While we understand that it may be challenging to maintain the same level of quality with a high volume of drinks being served, the difference was noticeable and impacted our enjoyment."

"haggis on a pizza?! they don't knock until they tried. and if they try it in edinburgh, they go to dough pizza for the particularly delicious and haggis-enhanced scozia pizza. this is not the first time I mentioned dough on the blog. but I thought the friendly little new town pizzeria deserved a mention in my haggis hunt series. back in autumn, when I was last in edinburgh, I was so glad that I passed on dough’s rose street outlet and had made his wood-fired pizza with seawater dough. the scozia (handmade passata, fior di latte, mcsweens haggis, stornaway black pudding, smoked pancetta, with a cracked egg...read more"

"Our time at the Fish Bar was excellent. The staff were very polite, friendly and courteous. Our food was perfectly cooked with plenty of fish in a lightly crispy batter. Presentation was good. Service was quick and we didn’t feel rushed. The lay out they had put in place due to covid was really thought out well. We felt save and was still able to enjoy the experience of having fish and chips at Harrods."

"Gaucho has certainly earned its seat at the high table of steak houses. The price is premium as you expect, but I wouldn't suggest it is overpriced. The service was extremely efficient whilst remaining friendly and informative (each cut is brought to you in order to allow and informed decision to be made). My steak was cooked to perfection, it's not often that a medium rare is actually medium rare. The sweet potato chips and chorizo are a must, complimenting the tenderness of the steak brilliantly. Unlike many other steak houses, the dessert menu was also varied and enticing, catering to all tastes. With the high price I suggest reserving a visit to Gaucho for a special occasion, but rest assured that it will help make any occasion that little more special."

"We booked without checking the menu, and didn't realise their main course is build around rotisserie chicken. I don't eat meat, so we opted for some starters and salads with sides a burrata salad with a side of new potatoes for me, and a cesar salad with extra shredded chicken and a side of truffle mac n cheese for hubby. Food was delicious and well presented. Cocotte spritz is nice and refreshing, and they can make a **** mary which isn't on the menu but is very good. It got a bit noisy so if you would like a more private dinner ask for a quiet table, there are a few standalone ones."

"Such a jewel in our neighborhood. Small dining room with open view of the kitchen, proud cooking and kitchen staff, inviting waitress as you enter. The menu includes a good selection, so something for everyone. But the best part is the quality of food, good ingredients and well prepared. Even very familiar dishes only taste better."

"The only thing that was good about our lunch was service helpful, timely, friendly and professional. But otherwise not worth going the room was way too cold, the loo was absolutely freezing. Everything in the room feels shabby and just out of shape. Food wasn’t amazing to put it gently. Burrata not creamy. My steak completely overcooked. The other steak cooked well but Uber salty. Prawns tasted of nothing. Mash dry. Broccoli flavourless. Spinach just outright bad. And all this for £170 for two adults and a child, no drinks, no starters. There is much better value elsewhere in Chelsea if you want steak The Chelsea Tavern, the Butcher etc. This was a poor meal and poor experience, but great service made it just a bit less painful."
