"I went into Big Johns Selly Oak last night and I was very dissapointed with the customer service. I only ordered a chicken fillet burger meal. I was charged I paid and waited and waited and waited. I told one of the staff it...was daylight when I came in and now it's pitch black outside. I don't think he could speak English. So I asked the guy who served me at the till. His reply was two minutes we are just waiting for chips minutes later I collected my order and when I got back in my car to eat the food the chips were undercooked. I was in Big Johns for exactly minutes. I don't mind waiting for my order but if there is going to be a massive delay, I would appreciate being told. If your after fast food, I would strongly reccomend you avoid this place."

"The ambiance at this restaurant is pleasing. However, we noticed that our orders were taken after another couple that arrived after us, so the service could be more attentive. The breakfast we had was delicious. While the menu didn't mention an option for turkey speck, they were willing to add it to our order or replace it with something else when we asked. They also offer soy milk as an alternative option. One negative aspect to note is the restroom, which definitely needs improvement. There was black mold on the walls, the room was very cold, and we even saw a cockroach scurrying across the floor, with the kitchen located right next to it."

"We ordered take out for fish and chips on a Friday night. We waited 30 mins infront of the shop we signaled to the staff a few times that we were right in front of them to let us know when our food is ready....Not only did the food sit on the side while we waited and have to ask multiple times for our order, the staff was incredibly rude when I asked for extra tartar sauce. They insisted I pay 40p for one satchet and I told them I can only pay with card (not carrying cash, esp during the pandemic) they said there 's a £5 minimum and nothing else. Terrible service, long wait, rude staff. There 's plenty of other delicious fish and chip places on the same street."

"Absolutely disgusting food and service. Food arrived stone cold with hairs in. I politely called up asking if there was something that could be done as reheated chips doesn’t taste the best and I certainly don’t want to eat hair. We are regular customers and were really looking forward to our meal. The main man on the phone was SO abrupt and so rude. Quite shocked and upset tbh."

"Had our first family meal out since before lockdown at Zouk Lounge last night and it was so worth waiting for! Lovely food, generous portions, great value (even without the 50% off scheme)...this is as close to proper, home-cooked Lebanese food as you'll find anywhere in this area.Our waitress was friendly, very polite and efficient. In fact, all the staff seem great and really keen to ensure your dining experience is positive. The owner clearly is genuinely passionate about and proud of his business and his enthusiasm is contagious. "In search of a pick-me-up during lockdown, we decided to look online for a top-notch burger joint and were thrilled with our find! The order was ready promptly and the staff were welcoming. The food exceeded our expectations. The entire family raved about it, especially the Blue Moon burger and the Champion Chips. The menu offered a wide range of options, so we'll definitely be returning to try the items we missed out on this time. We highly recommend this place!"

"The owner of this takeaway needs to be taken out of this place. He verbally abused me all because I asked for my kebab to be served in a naan bread not pitta. When I received my kebab and opened it, it was pitta so kindly asked him if he could put in a naan bread (which I ordered) Well he lost the plot and tried telling me that I ordered a pitta, which I didn't, I was with 3 other people who also confirmed this. This man was very aggressive, and got up in my face. He then threw the kebab at me and told me to get out. Horrible person. Shouldn't be let look after a takeaway. Avoid this kip. Go to ziba or zagros, much much better."

"You all should be ashamed it's the least you can do!!! We will avoid at all cost!!! Absolutely unacceptable rude behaviour. I have never left a negative review ever but here it is. We went to this Fish and Chip place called BANKERS on 28/5. Least to say the experience was distasteful, disrespectful and rotten, of course we will never return back. We were 10 people 6 adults and 4 children, we asked for a table for 10 and we were cramped on a table of 6. We didn't mind as we were hungry and we just needed a place to feed the kids so we took that table. We ordered the food and drinks after speaking to the waitress as we were running short of time and we wanted our food quick, till this point all was ok. The drinks arrived and then the food arrived on our table which was served to us by someone called JOE, we asked for some extra plates which he did but did not seem happy while doing his, our one of the main course was not delivered with the rest of the order so we waited patiently and when no one turned up we contacted the lady who took our order after 20 minutes of wait as no-one bothered to check on us. How the food was? Or do we need anything? A basic curiosity of a normal running restaurant which seemed too much of a ask what followed next. So we were told, the chef has had an accident in the kitchen and he is preparing the dish again so we waited patiently again, by this time everyone else has finished the lunch and the last dish which we are waiting now for 40-45 minutes arrives. So JOE gets this dish again, we asked why it took so long? and the moment we asked he has a aggressive uncontrolled fit and he starts yelling and shouting and told us you should have asked? And his rant went on and on...we were stunned and shocked by his behaviour making a genuine situation so uncomfortable as everyone in the restaurant started looking at us and we're flabbergasted with embarrassment. We had kids with us and we were a group with 2 elderly people as well who were visiting us from a foreign country they were left dismayed by JOE’S action. We didn't understand the need of this behaviour and he kept on and on in between all on the table at some point tried to speak to him but he was furious with no reason but he kept yelling and was very disrespectful, we just returned the dish back as we didn't want to be there for even a single second. We asked politely again to speak to the manager and we were told that she only works Monday to Friday her name is Maria so there is no one whom we can speak too, the waitress kept apologising and she said he is having a bad day etc etc. So we paid all our bill and we left never to come back again. This completely ruined our day and I think this is a very common practice here as I happen to read the other peoples reviews and they are on same lines. This place is in business with this attitude is appalling in it self. The food is average and is acceptable but The service is atrocious and it's hard to digest that in current days and age someone can shout at their paying customers and be aggressive and still gets away with this . Absolutely unbelievable."

"I wish I could give more stars, but although I felt welcomed and was able to stay for over two hours without feeling rushed, my chicken pathia dish only had three small pieces of chicken (about the size of dice) swimming in a lot of sauce. It seemed like they might have been short on chicken that night, even though the restaurant wasn't busy, so it wasn't a matter of selling out. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly."

"I was very impressed by this restaurant last weekend. I placed an order through Just Eat and requested some extra crispy batter bits to be added to my meal. I wasn't sure if it was possible, but the person taking my order was extremely accommodating and gave me a generous portion, which was fantastic. The staff were also very polite and friendly. I particularly enjoyed their chips, especially the broken chips they serve on Saturdays. Overall, it was a great experience."
