"I came to lunch with some friends after reading fabulous reviews. we live near kingston so from our usual opposite. now we were not disappointed that eating was absolutely delicious and we had a nice charming waitress named noami I hope it is. the right writing! She was attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much annoyed. we will definitely make the trip back and come here for food. even if we have a parking ticket, as they need a degree to understand the payment instructions and unfortunately we have it wrong, but it will not prevent a return visit. also the restaurant and toilet facilities are absolutely flawless! well made and thank you for a great lunch."

"I really enjoyed the time there until we were asked to move due to 2 members not bothering to show up and the table was given to other guests, which I didn't mind. It was cold near the door and every time it opened you could feel it. Our main waiter was really nice and took the time to provide us with what we needed but the one who moved us was slightly distant and brought me a drink with no ice and was quite slow in coming back to us. Overall I'm glad I went and I will definitely go again."

On every occasion, I am always very happy with the level of service provided from all of the staff members, and especially the lovely owner of the restaurant who always works very hard to ensure that every single customer who visits Chippers is provided and presented with the best quality fresh food and the best quality service. "I went here with a friend for an evening meal. We were there for 7pm and it was very quiet, only about 5 other customers, so had extremely quick service. I had to ask which items on the menu were vegan, and the waitor was very helpful. Turns out almost everything is vegan, or can be made vegan, so there was plenty of choice. We started with poppadoms and pickles (only the raita isn't vegan), and the food came so quickly, we hadn't even finished these! For mains, we shared a dosa (large with good flavour) and a vegetable curry (it was top of the menu, but can't remember the name!)which was nicely spiced, although mostly carrot rather than the advertised exotic' veg! There were a lot of waitors around, so the service was really good. They were continually topping up our water and were quick to bring the desserts menu and bill. A really nice little restaurant, with a convenient location in London, plenty of choice and good value for money. I'll definitely be returning to try some more items on the menu!"

"I was with a big work group. there is something for everyone on the menu, including a handful of vegan dishes. everyone ordered apps, so I got the vegan: brot and olive oil. it was, good, broth and olive oil. there were some vegan netzen; I got the crispy tofu with cousin. tofu was good, cousin was okay. be careful when ordering: the vegan product is only dinge from the vegetarian menu without yogurt or other milk products. So they need to ask for the vegan crispy tofu, not the vegetarian."

"I've eaten at Ephesus on several occasions, the food is always outstanding but on this occasion the waiter was rather off hand and we had an extra glass of lemonade on the bill, which we hadn't ordered or received. The restaurant was full but the food was brought swiftly and our two year old guest was made to fell welcome!"

"My taxi was late despite a pre booking so I rang The Fork and a lovely girl said not to worry and that they would keep the table for me. When I eventually arrived another female appeared to be struggling with the computer so I enquired. She had noticed my walker and the table reserved for me was up a couple of steps so she was looking where she could change the location. I reassured her that I could manage a couple of small steps. So she took me to the table checking I was sure I could manage and, as it was a carvery meal, said just to shout to get someone to carry the plate up. I had no trouble getting another waitress to carry my plate to the table and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The girl I'd spoken to on the phone asked me if my taxi arrived so I said I'd jumped into one vacated by another resident and cancelled my original booking. ???? I had dessert and then the bill and then mobile card machine so everything was perfect for me. Thank you ????"

"In 1884 Wiltons was awarded a Royal Warrant as Purveyors of Oysters to Queen Victoria though by that time, Wiltons had already been in business well over a hundred years. They in fact date their business to 1742 so to describe Wiltons as 'old school ' is to significantly understate the meaning. "We booked breakfast via this website and turned up on time. We were ignored initially by staff and when we did speak to them, they seemed flabbergasted that we were expecting breakfast and had to check with the chef that he would continue with breakfast (even though people were being served still). They didn’t seem to know they took online bookings. This is fine, things happen, but the staff were very rude about it and we were made to feel uncomfortable. Clearly, the chef was unhappy as the other diners (I assume guests) said we had caused trouble, which added to our unease. One of the waitresses did not speak one word to us the entire time and the other waitress was clearly annoyed when taking our order. When the bill came, it had a service charge included to boot! This is probably our worst dining experience and we will not be coming again, which is a shame as we’re locals."

"We were a party of four and had the vegan taster menu. Two of us were vegetarians and two are also meat-eaters. Nevertheless we all thoroughly enjoyed all the courses- they were fantastic! Interesting and and different and yet all six courses worked well in sequence. There was no feeling that anything was missing. Only argument was as to which was the best course- we all had different favourites. I would thoroughly recommend, not just to vegetarians but to anyone who would like to try something different. And of course you are eating in the great cosy atmosphere of Rubinos. The waitresses too were brilliant- very attentive and happy to talk about the food and discuss what we thought of the various dishes. Only tip is to book ahead- some of the evenings are sold out quite quickly."

"The restaurant is lovely, light and airy with plenty to look at. The food is excellent. I had the watermelon and feta salad my husband the broccoli soup. Both were excellent. For seconds I had the pork belly my husband fish and chips. We thought a whale had landed the piece of fish was that large. Again beautifully cooked. Desert was delicious, chocolate brownie, strawberry cheese cake and salted caramel cake. Yum. Only complaint is the menu on the website is totally different to the menu we were given. Hence why my husband ended up with posh fish and chips. However, this didn't really detract from a very nice meal."

"Got told about this ‘fine dining experience’ whilst staying at the hotel so had to give it a go. Took us 5 minutes to be acknowledged even when there were 4 staff at the bar talking to each other. Had to take my name and room number before we were allowed to be seated? Sat down and told someone would be with us to take our drinks order. 10 minutes the same guy arrives and takes our drink order. 5 minutes later returns saying the gas had gone so couldn’t have what I wanted. 10 minutes later drinks arrive and get told someone would take our food order. 15 minutes later the same guy checks back to see if we’ve ordered- we hadn’t- as we start to order two of the items not available. Decided that it probably wasn’t the best place to dine and paid for the drinks and left, no apology only a ‘try the pub they serve all night’. Went to the pub section of the hotel to find they’d stopped service! Service is insane no communication, constantly ignored and staff who haven’t got a clue what they’re doing! Thank god for justeat."
