"The restaurant was understaffed today, even though it was quite busy. We had to wait a while at the end of our meal, but the young woman who was working did her best to assist us. The food all seemed to be very similar in nature. The pizza dough looked good, but it was lacking in flavor, possibly due to being under-seasoned. Additionally, all the toppings slid off the pizza immediately, which is not a good sign. While quality ingredients were used, none of the dishes we tried stood out as exceptional."

"The food at this restaurant was nice, but the service was really terrible. The main host was friendly, but another male employee took our order and then disappeared. We were seated upstairs in a quiet restaurant, but the waitress only came by 15 minutes later. Her English was not very good, so it was difficult to make special requests. The waitresses seemed too busy to pay attention to us, and it took a long time to get the bill and pay with the card machine. Overall, we felt like an inconvenience and were not very welcomed. The food and wine were good, but the poor service ruined our experience. We used to come here two years ago for our first date, but we don't think we will be coming back again."

"Booked ahead of a stay in Chester after searching for the best restaurants. The only availability was two stools in the window but I’m so glad we took them as it provided a great spot for people watching. We just had some olives to start and they were amazing (a Spanish queen olive called Gordal). We shared the paella for main which is made fresh to order. It was really very good, washed down with a French gin called G’vine which was new to me (and I have tried a lot of gin). I was impressed that the G&T was served in a small glass rather than the huge stemmed glasses which drip condensation due to the massive amount of ice. Finally we shared the baked cheesecake which was very rich and nicely accompanied with a fig jam and strawberry. This restaurant is not cheap, however the food was great quality, cooked fresh and the staff were lovely, so definitely worth it. The decor is low key and very clean. I think the price reflects the location and I would definitely recommend it for a romantic meal or celebration."

"Usually love Firebird, but booked to go for some dinner with a friend prior to a gig in Kelvingrove Bandstand. Took over an hour to get our food resulting in us having to rush it down to make the gig in time , drinks and sides orders got mixed up. Staff didn't communicate with each other so a lot of confusion over our orders. They were obviously very busy but they should have staff numbers/kitchen to cover bookings. Staff tried their best but it just wasn't up to scratch and very disappointing. Also never mentioned that their card machine wasn't working, so as we were rushing out to our gig, we were informed we would have to go out to cash machine to get cash and return in order to pay, which caused further delay. Probably just a bad night but not good enough when Id recommended it as ideal spot for a quick bite to eat."

"the pizza here is good, but pay attention to a sharp practice when it comes to tips. I was at an earlier visit to london and remembered that the pizza was good while in the opposite thought we were going to lunch here. 4 of us on the same table, 2 pizzas, 2 chips, 2 corona, desperado and coke. When I went to pay, I was told that they had made 2 bills (I paid for everyone, so no idea why they would take them, but I will pay both anyway. the type ringed through the bill, but the credit card machine did not show a carry, but I thought it could only pay the cost of pizza chips and 2 so drink, then paid again. the banking app has appeared on my handy, and I would be charged over £70. I know the prices are extreme and the fact that the place had only one copy of their new price menu not help, but on closer review I discovered that we calculated 2 discrete service fees of 12.5% this is not a big or infamous place and 12.5% is steep but to insult, he came only to one table and only once. When I pointed out, he got a calculator (whether it didn't work when he handed £2 to me, which is far from the accusations. he has me on a good day as I couldn't be disturbed, but I suggest they confirm all prices before they buy something here. for my part I will not be back and I have learned not to be so trustful."

"Unfortunately this was not the good experience we have had 4 times previously and we were disappointed. Initially the male waiter just seemed a bit confused and forgot a few things. The starters were all fine. However, the main courses were very different to our last Sunday lunch experience. The beef meal was smaller, although it was commented that the beef was excellent. The duck was good but the diners were very disappointed that there was no vegetables served with this dish, just duck on lentils. (We knew other people dining on the day who also felt this way). Last time we had a dish of separate vegetables bought to the table. The vegetarian dish was also very disappointing from a size point of view when it arrived and we waited to see what else would come but nothing did. Sadly the taste was unpleasant, and not one to complain, so much so that it was inedible. It was sent back and replaced with another version which was ok (and we were not charged for this which was welcomed) The other problem with the veg dish is that there was no protein, so not a balanced dish, just vegetables and far too small for a main meal. The pudding was good although the rhubarb with the panacotta was so much nicer last time, it was not sweet at all this time. It’s such a shame that the consistency is not there. It has put us off going again."
