"Good pizza, but not sure what this place is, pub, restaurant, club, who knows? No table service even with previously made bookings. After a few minutes of waiting time at the door, we had to ask which one was our table. Then no one was interested in us sitting there, so we had to make a list of food for 5 people and order at the bar. It is like there is no table service at all. I was surprised they brought our drinks and food at all. Did not even bother to collect empty plates tho from the table. Weird"

"Today we dropped our daughter off at University and she insisted on going to a restaurant she had been talking about. She had mentioned how great the pizzas looked every time she passed by, so we decided to have lunch there before leaving her at her new dorm. Despite not being very hungry, I ordered a small salad and planned to take bites of my daughter and husband's pizzas. They both ordered the specials – one with mushroom and truffle oil, and the other with cheese and pancetta. When the pizzas arrived, my daughter was disappointed with hers because it had a tapenade base instead of tomato sauce. We realized our mistake of not reading the description properly and accepted it. I ended up swapping pizzas with my husband and my daughter had my salad. The manager/waitress kindly offered to bring a Margarita pizza for my daughter for free, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We had no complaints about the food and all the staff were friendly. Overall, we had a great experience and my picky daughter was happy. Thank you to all the staff, especially Martina. We will definitely be back."

"Usually love Firebird, but booked to go for some dinner with a friend prior to a gig in Kelvingrove Bandstand. Took over an hour to get our food resulting in us having to rush it down to make the gig in time , drinks and sides orders got mixed up. Staff didn't communicate with each other so a lot of confusion over our orders. They were obviously very busy but they should have staff numbers/kitchen to cover bookings. Staff tried their best but it just wasn't up to scratch and very disappointing. Also never mentioned that their card machine wasn't working, so as we were rushing out to our gig, we were informed we would have to go out to cash machine to get cash and return in order to pay, which caused further delay. Probably just a bad night but not good enough when Id recommended it as ideal spot for a quick bite to eat."

"Excellent pizza, the staff was little bit accurate about masks, we had a table about metres from the door. They never asked if the meal was OK, they were walking around with their eyes down so there was no chance for eye contact to call them to the table even the place was not busy. Less than people. Had to wait and ask for a bill to get a waiter. For this behaviour never again."

"The food at this restaurant was nice, but the service was really terrible. The main host was friendly, but another male employee took our order and then disappeared. We were seated upstairs in a quiet restaurant, but the waitress only came by 15 minutes later. Her English was not very good, so it was difficult to make special requests. The waitresses seemed too busy to pay attention to us, and it took a long time to get the bill and pay with the card machine. Overall, we felt like an inconvenience and were not very welcomed. The food and wine were good, but the poor service ruined our experience. We used to come here two years ago for our first date, but we don't think we will be coming back again."

"We have been meaning to try Joseph Benjamin for a while now so finally booked a table with ease online. Had a wonderful meal and felt very well looked after by the lovely ladies serving on Friday night. They were all welcoming and friendly upon entering. The reservation request was accommodated for too. Each person who served was knowledgeable about the wine and the food and able to answer every question put to them promptly and with good explanations and accurate descriptions. The soup and bread with it were both deliciously flavourful, the fish was cooked beautifully although as I sometimes do found the langoustine bisque a little on the salty side. The homemade cranberry sorbet was refreshingly tart I am so glad they did not feel the need to overly sweeten it! My partner hugely enjoyed his starter and the ox cheek fell apart perfectly, however we both agreed the brownie desert was a little on the dry side in the absence of any sauce coulis or cream served instead with a beautiful peanut butter icecream and cindertoffee. They all were great flavours but didn't make it look as appealing or help with the overall texture/lubrication of the dish. For us, what was most appreciated was that when a half full bottle of wine embarrassingly was knocked off the table and no fuss made. Two of the waiting on staff very quickly cleared up the mess, without complaint, comment or looks. Thank you at a make or break moment for saving our anniversary meal accidents can happen but how they are dealt with truly shows the calibre of the service, and your reactions speak highly."

"We had a really lovely. meal tonight. The staff that served us were hospitable, kind an genuine. The restaurant was busy and cozy, and the food was fab! The Fritto appetiser was EXELLENT. I love my sea bass on caponata and the Scialatielli Pesto e Burrata was Incredible. The pizza was great too, with a thin crust and lots of toppings. We will definitely be back."

"I visited Bath Pizza Co last night with my partner and her family to celebrate her graduation. We decided to order the calamari because it was delicious on our previous visit. Unfortunately, about ten minutes later, we were informed that they had run out of calamari, which was disappointing as there weren't many other starter options. We opted for the wings instead, and they were fantastic. However, shortly after, they unexpectedly brought out the calamari, leaving us confused due to the lack of communication from the staff regarding the mix-up. We waited 45 minutes for olives, and just as the starters arrived, our pizzas came out as well. The food truly is amazing; however, since they operate from two different kitchens, the service and timing can be inconsistent. They also forgot to bring two dishes but still charged us for them. There needs to be better communication between the kitchens. I would suggest opting for takeaway instead; dining in may not be worth your time and money! "the pizza here is good, but pay attention to a sharp practice when it comes to tips. I was at an earlier visit to london and remembered that the pizza was good while in the opposite thought we were going to lunch here. 4 of us on the same table, 2 pizzas, 2 chips, 2 corona, desperado and coke. When I went to pay, I was told that they had made 2 bills (I paid for everyone, so no idea why they would take them, but I will pay both anyway. the type ringed through the bill, but the credit card machine did not show a carry, but I thought it could only pay the cost of pizza chips and 2 so drink, then paid again. the banking app has appeared on my handy, and I would be charged over £70. I know the prices are extreme and the fact that the place had only one copy of their new price menu not help, but on closer review I discovered that we calculated 2 discrete service fees of 12.5% this is not a big or infamous place and 12.5% is steep but to insult, he came only to one table and only once. When I pointed out, he got a calculator (whether it didn't work when he handed £2 to me, which is far from the accusations. he has me on a good day as I couldn't be disturbed, but I suggest they confirm all prices before they buy something here. for my part I will not be back and I have learned not to be so trustful."

"frustrating! The food was amazing, but the service was painfully slow. We were a table of 10, but had made a reservation in advance. The staff were pleasant and initial service for drinks and placing our order was quick. The starters arrived promptly, but then we waited about an hour for our main course! In the end, we almost started to doubt we would even get to eat! When we asked, the waiter explained that the kitchen was short-staffed, which is completely understandable, but they should inform their customers instead of just leaving them waiting. As an apology, we were offered a round of drinks, but it definitely put a damper on our day and affected our plans for the rest of the evening. Nonetheless, the food was absolutely delicious! The flavors, quality, and presentation were top-notch. Hopefully, they will address their staffing issues as they have a lot of potential."

"I recently visited Duende for the first time, and it certainly won't be my last! The staff at the front of house were very friendly and courteous. Although they didn't have Prosecco, I enjoyed a cocktail and was assured that they would have it next time I visit. The scallops were absolutely delicious, and I plan on having them as a main course next time. I had the Guinea fowl, which was incredibly succulent and the best I've ever had. My husband opted for the tandoori monkfish with prawns and thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn't resist the lemon posset with blackcurrants, but unfortunately, I was too full to finish it. Despite finding the decor a bit bizarre at first, I soon warmed up to it and realized it complemented the overall dining experience. The chef, Tim, even went to each table to greet his guests and ensure they had enjoyed their evening, a lovely old-fashioned touch that I appreciated. I will definitely be returning and can't wait to see when they will be open next. Kudos to Tim and the entire staff at Duende for a fantastic dining experience! - Maggie Machin, Ham, Taunton."
