"This place masquerades as a fine dining venue with its decor and expensive wines but is in reality a corporate establishment rather than a restaurant run with love and passion. There is an army of staff and if you order the set menu be prepared to have your food served at high speed and the quality was highly reminiscent of wedding food- corporate- with a conveyor belt feel to it. "I have a had a cocktail of two in the past at Franco's but have never eaten there. i will again. While the food is really just great Italian staples the ambience and quality is excellent. The staff are attentive and adaptable. cocktails were excellent and the food served as you like it. My lasagne was very tasty!"

"The Last Visit. Many moons ago we were big fans of the Battersea branch and frequent, and always satisfied, visitors. However, last night's experience at the larger Balham branch will be our last to either Gazette. In summary, the food continues to be lardy French and delicious but the service and whole experience left a bitter taste in the mouth. "our breakfast was bad! my man ordered the filled banana-french toast. what he served was burned two halves, and very hard to chew French toast. a half of the toast had a small disc muddy pampered banane (so he did not end up eating part of the French toast to become sick) and another half of the French toast had no banana! my egg beedict was such a small part, half an English muffin and 2 small eggs. one was cooked and the other was runny (as should be an eier benedict.) I would like to point out, however, that the prices for the right prices for lidon, which are not acceptable to these Scottish foods. with two coffees, our bill was just over £30... a complete and total waste of money! the waitress had no idea of the food they served, we were shocked when our food arrived because it looked like we had ordered nothing. So we asked the staff if it was the right order, and they didn't know. So they took our food back to the kitchen and brought us the same food again. then another employee came to our table, looked at the food, asked for our food to take back to the kitchen and brought the same back to us! I don't want to say anything. avoid this restaurant."

"It is a well laid out restaurant which is fresh and bright and in general does carry a good atmosphere. However, the food did let it down for me. Not much choice for gluten free, and when I did ask for the yogurt and berries with the nuts, grains and seeds, I received a very small amount of yogurt, and was informed that there weren't many berries as they had almost run out. I also got honey at a request. It was nice but such a small amount that it was a bit disappointing. Service was okay. Everyone else seemed okay with what they had."

"This was the best overall experience I've ever had at a Michelin-starred restaurant (although it was only my third). The staff worked seamlessly as a team to ensure that we were taken care of throughout the entire meal. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was lively, and we felt very comfortable all night. There is no official dress code, but you may feel out of place if you show up in board shorts and a tank top. We each enjoyed a five-course meal (you can choose between 3-6 courses) and a couple of bottles of wine, which came out to about $700CAD and lasted about 2.5 hours. "We had a large booking the meals were preordered.The staff were friendly and dispute the size of the group didn’t have to wait long. Location good.Starts of hot bread was delicious. Sadly the reviews from people were mixed, I had poached egg and asparagus that was good but think they skipped the hollandaise. Some colleague said they had under cooked eggs. The squid was left by a few people on our table. I had mushroom risotto and was bland. Steaks had mixed reviews. Best part for me was the bread and cheese board.I was going to say quality could have been due to reservation size but only half the restaurant was booked so guess it’s not that."

"Nice restaurant with good food and great staff. The deco is very pleasant and has a lovely ambience. My choice of astice avocado was well prepared and presented. The ossobuco as a main was unfortunately a bit chewy, but when mentioned to the waiter was immediately removed and i was offered the choice of having it done again or order something else, perhaps the saltimboca, which i did and it was very well cooked. The seven layers dessert was delicious. The staff were superb but it felt that although they were trying their very best they were a bit overstretched. Having said that, i cannot fault them: they were professional with a friendly and helpful touch. All in all, the place is nice, with a good vibe, the food is good, bur for me what did it was the staff: they were absolutely fantastic from the moment i stepped in and i will certainly be back."

However, when a UK chain is able to consistently produce the best pizza in the world, why not give them another shout out? With the recent closure of Prezzo, Jamie Oliver's restaurants, and others, I would be disappointed to see Falmouth Pizza Express go out of business. My Nduja Calzone was absolutely perfect. "this review focuses on takeaway . first the online order was very easy. the restaurant is very beautifully designed. simple and modern decorations. wide and spacious. the cook in an open area where the customers can see them, a very beautiful thing in my sight. the cooking area ia clean and organized. I was greeted by one of the employees, she told me to wait a few minutes until my order is finished. the only thing I didn't like is that I saw two crates ready, but it took them about 5 to 8 minutes to tell me they were for me, and I wasn't able to talk to one of the workers to ask them because they were all busy. I ordered bufala margerita and cheese garlic bread. as far as taste is concerned, the pizza is very tasty, the teig is simply perfect and the toppings are mouthwater. the garlic bread is okay."

"It is my first time in this Frankie&Bennys but I have been many times in other ones. I came with my partner to have dinner and we were totally disappointed with the service given. The waitress a young lady, brunette and short hair took the wrong order. We wanted to have all the food together and not starters and mains as we had a cinema date.We got the starters, (never asked it they were ok) and when we got the mains (after waiting for a while) they were completely wrong and poorly presented. it was 2 carbonara, 1 with extra mushrooms and 1 w chicken and nduja sausage . We got the pasta without any bacon at all and we were like, where is the bacon? The waitress passed our order totally wrong to the kitchen, no bacon and chicken and mushrooms instead. We were offered for fresh new ones instead and this also took a long time to arrive. They came again the second time wrong, my partners pasta had no sausage this time. After being told they did it in. I asked the manager to have a closer look and once he did he agreed there was no nduja. At this point we decided to just eat as we were already too late for our cinema booking. The service overall was shocking. The waitress and waiter seemed they didn’t care at all about the job and the customers. No check backs on food even after the issues were raised. They never asked if we wanted more drinks! Definitely really poor customer service and they never tried to make it better. My advice to the GM of these place, get ride of these staff who make the brand Frankie&Bennys a really bad place to eat. They never gave us any discount or apology or tried to give us a sweet to forget the nightmare. I’ll def not coming back to this restaurant anymore!"

"Very disappointed with this place. The service was very slow and all over the place. They looked massively understaffed with only 3 waitresses serving the room from what I could see. That said, the waitress we had was very good but was never going to be able to provide the service you’d expect with a restaurant so busy. One of the main courses arrived 10 minutes after the others (which had to be chased), and they missed part of the order as well which we had to remind them off. Worst of all was the steak tartare. It’s a dish I love and often select this when eating out. I have to say that this was just the worst ever a pile of mush with an awful texture and tasted just as bad. It was as though they had put this in a blender and left it for a few days. I actually started feeling ill a few hours afterwards and didn’t feel right until the following day."
